We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.
If you get your endorphin rush from shopping, the flagship Macy's Herald Square is a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and the boutiques and department stores of Fifth Avenue are a mile away. A short taxi ride takes you to Times Square and the Broadway theater district.

"Solid stay!"
My daughter asked if we could have a high floor and they put us on the top floor. Even upgraded us to a room with a kitchen. Bed was spectacular. It was a lovely night and the location was great for getting to JFK the next day. I was extremely pleased

A fantastic hotel close to 5th Avenue and the Empire State Building. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Convenient Location"
Spent the weekend at the Affina Dumont... nice place clean hotel and the room we had was great with a beautiful view of the water to one side and skyscapers to the other. Staff was friendly. Will stay there again in future.
I have tried a couple of different hotels in NY which actually costed more than Affinia Dumont However this hotel is the best hotel I have tried in NY.

"Size matters"
Immense rooms that created a bit of an oasis before and after a day wandering through the concrete jungle. The extra room was surprising for a NYC hotel, and at the price was a very pleasant surprise given the space it paid for. Everything felt a little old but was not an impediment to my enjoyment of the stay.

"Awesome experience"
Beautiful rooms, contemporary, clean, roomy by NYC standards. Been there twice and will continue to be my hotel of choice when in NYC midtown areas.

I stayed in a hotel studio and It was very spacious! It had a mini kitchen with a stove, a nice sized bathroom, a huge king size bed (very comfortable) and it was very very clean. I had a great time with my partner and I would definitely consider returning!

Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious by NYC terms. Minor complaints were dealt with immediately. Didn't get to use the fitness room, but it is well-equipped and looks new.

"What... A... STEAL!"
I am so glad I booked this through Hotels.com. The location was perfect walking distance to the #6 Subway, so that made it getting around fast! Perfect place in midtown to walk pretty much anywhere as well. The room I had was a suite which included a small kitchen which would be perfect for a longer stay. The desk area made it ideal to do my work when […] I was in the room and the huge TV was great too. Don't get me started about the full size tub in the bath. I checked out early and stored my bags through the bell hop and that was great because I still had some meetings and my flight wasn't until 8pm. I got such a great price, I saved enough to have a town car pick me up at the airport and bring me back.. so THANKS HOTELS.COM!!! This was a perfect hotel for my business trip. This hotel was clean and nice enough for a tourist stay (i.e. - not spending much time in the room, and wanting a quality room at reasonable price). The small kitchen was a nice amenity but we didn't use it. The staff were friendlier than expected and the subway is a short 2-block walk. We liked being in a quieter neighborhood which was still close […] enough to get around all the sights in Manhattan. The concierge was below average however, so don't rely on that. Recommend the Jr Suite - bigger than youd expect in NYC. 6 train is one block away. Murray Hill Market has everything you might need (on corner). Marcony is great Italian - close amd recommended by concierge. Will return

"Weekend with family"
The Affinia hotel was very comfortable. The rooms could use an upgrade (carpet, wallpaper, bathroom) but the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The location was great for us because we liked the walk to everything. For an older person - this location would be a little too far away from the action.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The room we had was very spacious & CLEAN. Fantastic view of the Chrysler Building! The convenience of having a kitchen was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel may not be in Times Square, but in our opinion it is in a great location and you are not paying Times Square's prices. I would recommend this to everyone. neighborhood is great. short walks to everywhere. Staff was helpful. Bed was magical. View of the city from the 23rd floor was spectacular at night. We will be back for sure.

I stayed here last week for business. I think the location was great since all my business meetings were on the east side. The room as clean and BIG for NYC standard. The staff were helpful and nice. I liked how they had complimentary pillow choices. It took them over 30 minutes to bring the pillow but overall I was very satisfied with my stay.

I like the Dumont and have stayed there often (about 10 visits to NY). It is convenient with nice rooms. This particular stay they upgraded us and we didn't even ask. I really like the location as there are a ton of restaurant choices near by. Easy access to the subway. Two suggested improvements are first free wi-fi availability in the rooms. have stayed here before. great room size for nyc. walking distance to empire state and attractions. hotel staff helpful and accommodating. we remember having the same doorman the last time we stayed!! full size fridge, stove, etc in separate kitchenette- bonus!!

We stayed at the Affinia for 2 nights. We were surprised at how spacious the room was. We were on the 17th floor so we did not here the street noise. The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to the new High Line Park. The staff was very nice and helpful. My only minor complaint is you have to pay for internet.

Clean hotel conveniently located in East midtown of Manhattan. Far enough East so that FDR Highway is readily accessible without becoming trapped in midtown traffic. Staff was courteous and professional. Room was quiet and nicely appointed. Free wi-fi was a nice touch. Will definitely return.

We've stayed at the Affinia Dumont many times and each time we get a different room-all are very nice, clean and with great ammenities. Front desk personnel friendly and helpful, elevators are FAST which makes staying on the 34th bfloor even nicer than just the great view. Will always stay when we're in the city!
