Great location to some of the best resturants in St Maarten. The hotel needs a slight upgrade but the view and pool are wonderful. Definitely go off property for meals.

Second time to stay at this location, the staff are great, some of the same staff that were there over two years ago are still here which says a lot about management. The place is a dream, one of the best spots on the island, stayed 6 nights but was not ready to go home, next time will push our stay to 9-10 nights :). Highly recommend.

This resort was amazing... all requests were met before we even checked in, everyone was friendly, food was excellent, beach was beautiful, very clean pool, and surrounding garden areas, views were beyond my thoughts prior to arrival. All amenities, including beach loungers and towels were of top quality also. My husband and I would return at any chance we get, as we are avid travelers.

The hotel is just lovely. Our room were very nice and clean. The property is beautiful and the grounds are kept immaculate as well as the pool and beach area. The beach is nestled between two beautiful mountains. We found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of choices to eat. Quality of service was excellent. We stayed 8 nights and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a get-away.

We had heard good things about the Radisson Blu hotel and decided to stay there for our honeymoon. We enjoyed the scenery, the staff, the pool, the private beach and some delicious beverages (i.e., Guavaberry Colada). We would return to this hotel if we visit St. Maarten again.

Radisson Blu has remarkable views from the beach and pool. Room was very clean and pleasant. Staff was nice, but at times unattentive during dinner. This only happened a few times. Only main downside was lack of restaurants on the premise and food quality for the price. Also, you have to pay €6 for a bottle of water any time you are thirsty. When we asked for "tap" water or anything other than bottled they said they do not serve it. So you were forced to pay for water all week every meal, or snack, or just laying in the sun. We did make a trip to grocery and finally got our own pack of water for beach and room. Other then that excellent stay.

The staff were fantastic, very relaxed and happy to help out. The overall grounds were great. Pool was fantastic and the food at breakfast was also top notch. I think they kick people off the island who can't cook because it was nearly impossible to find less than excellent food anywhere we went. The only downside was the hotel bed - it felt too stiff & springy to me. we had stayed at the Hilton the week before and the bed was much softer.

Nice place - you can walk so easily to the beach or pool. Lunch in the beachside restaurant was delicious, although we were surprised that reservations were needed for both restaurants for dinner. Breakfast was great.

Hotel feels fresh and pretty new. Rooms decently clean but could have been a tad better (1-carpet, 2-found a small spider web below a chair). However, bathroom, sheets, and bed in excellent and clean condition. Landscaping on green areas near passage to the pool could be improved / better maintained but overall a beautiful property. Great pool. Breakfast was excellent and a big plus for it to be included. Service was truly excellent, extremely helpful staff, great concierge recommendations, same goes for spa services as well. Ask for Zoè for the best deep tissue massage you will ever have. Restaurants I felt were pricy within the resort but more moderate options are walking distance in the marina. Location wise at first seems a bit hidden but then you realize you are really close to other beaches and the French culinary capital in the Caribbean, Grand Case. Highly recommend renting a car. Much better located than the Westin in my opinion. Hill road leading to resort could be improved. Don't have any kids but seemed excellent for kids. Kids having fun all over but not burdensome to honeymooners. Overall a great stay. If I go back to st Martin, will opt to stay here again.

The hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast buffet is included and has a good variety. The beach is small and quiet. The electrical outlets in the hotel room are European plugs. If you need a converter, you can rent from the front desk. The concierge was nice. She helped us make offsite dinner reservations and provided maps for getting around.

This resort has wonderful grounds, the most spectacular pool, very good food and a nice beach. It is situated in a more remote area of the island where there is no foot traffic so once you arrive, you are in your own community in a paradise setting. The rooms are not spectacular but modest. The bathroom is semi-private since it does not have a solid door to close it off but a shutter with some gaps. We paid the upgrade for a water view and on the second floor saw the masts of the ships in the marina. It was pretty; however, a view of the garden would have been fine no doubt since the grounds are nicely maintained. We are very happy we chose this resort.

While it is true that you need a rental car in St. Martin, the drive up the mountain to the Radisson isn't so bad after you do it 1 or 2 times. We rented a car from Alamo and had a great experience. The Radisson is lovely and such a pleasure to stay somewhere where a 6 a.m. wake up call isn't necessary just to save a place at either the beach or pool ... never had a problem finding the perfect spot no matter the time of day. I went with my teenage son and we explore the surrounding beaches - by land and by boat. We loved Orientale Baie (rented chairs from Coco Beach - so kind and friendly and great food + service) and ate most dinners at Grand Case (can't go wrong at so many of these delicious french restaurants). We enjoyed our lunches at the beach bar (not the beach restaurant) ... casual and tasty. We will definitely return to the lovely island of St. Martin one day!!

The hotel was very nice and has been redone in the past few years. The atmosphere as you enter the hotel with the open air lobby and the lobby bar make it very welcoming! The pool and beach were great. The breakfast buffet (included) was excellent. There is one additional restaurant on the premises (but you need to make reservations). This a place to relax since it is very quiet and out of the way. There are three additional restaurants that are directly across the road from the hotel and we enjoyed dining at Calypso (one of the three).

much like the other reviews, we found it to be a nice, quiet resort. The only downside is not a lot of dining options without heading towards Grand Case. Victorias (across the street) is well worth the stop. I would definitely return. PS- Don't get scared off by chikungunya- we used mosquito milk (you can find it on amazon) and applied a couple times a day and got literally one bite in 5 days.

The restaurant staff was surprisingly unfriendly and grouchy. They insisted that we should take a table for dinner that had large insects on the table cloth that they pushed away with the menu! We asked for another table but they said all tables were reserved even though the restaurant was empty. The pool kiosk service was poor and the snack variety extremely limited, but they concierge at the pool was excellent. The reception staff service was unduly slow and when needed ineffective: they tried twice to authorize our room keys to have an extra hour of use before we checked out but were unsuccessful--we wasted 40 minutes going back and forth to the reception and were finally locked out of our room. We tried to speak to the manager, but he was not available. A supervisor spoke to us instead, but she did not offer any apologies (a good example of saying the customer is always wrong) and her only defense was that the hotel did not have five stars. We agreed--they hotel has two stars at best because of poor service.

We recently stayed at the Radisson for 4 nights and were extremely happy with our experience. We were looking for a relaxing long weekend while escaping the cold and it worked out perfectly. The Radisson is in a rather rural area, so not too much around it, but at the same time, it feel very secluded, and there was plenty of space at the pool and beach. We ended up renting a car which I would recommended, even if it's just to go to/from the airport and make some day trips. Staff was very friendly and free breakfast is great, especially since food on the resort is pricey, taking in account everything is in Euros. We did take a few trips to the grocery store nearby to get essentials, including water, as $8 for a large bottle was getting expensive. There are a few restaurant directly across the street which were tasty, including Victoria's. Visiting the Radisson won't be a bargain, but definitely worth the money you spend.

We wanted a beach break where we didn't have to fight for chairs, could enjoy quiet comfortable rooms, and not be bothered by crowds. This was the place. The rooms are newly renovated, the restaurants large and airy, and there were no bugs, pests, or mosquitos at all. The beach is lovely and there are plenty of water sports to keep you busy if you need that type of outlet. It was 70/30 European/American which was great. We got to practice our French. The local island staff were superb: the beach, lobby, and Le Marche staff, the housekeepers. Breakfast was great. The dinners were good, but expensive and on one night the staff were distracted by having to serve RadBlu execs dining on the beach at Le C. We only got to dine beachside at Le C that one night. There was a wedding group from the US but they were a happy bunch and didn't bother us too much except to close down Le C on Thurs at cocktail hour, and on Friday and Saturday nights.Our only regrets 1) not renting a car at the airport on arrival. It is tough and time consuming to queue up to get a Hertz car at the hotel and the taxis are extremely expensive. Rent a car so you can come and go to the airport, tour the island, and go into Grand Case for dinner. It is a $20 taxi each way to Grand Case for dinner and $50 to the airport. 2) we should have taken a day sail to snorkel and explore nearby islands like Anguilla and St. Barth and 3) not walking down the beach to dine at the new Anse Marcel beach club.

Very nice hotel in excellent condition, extremely pleasing, accommodating staff, generous buffet breakfast. A private beach makes the hotel more unique. Room cleanness and service is truly exemplary. All in all this is a recommended destination for couples, families and travel-lovers. The only problem seems to be the mosquitoes. It is not a problem that the hotel may address on its own. Nevertheless it is a major problem.

The hotel is in an amazing location, forget all the others, especially the Westin (we have visit that one too). The staff is friendly, although carribbean, which means that no prompt acting shall be expected. Yet if you get accustomed to that, it will be just fine. Try the a-la-cart restaurant on Fridays, the food is exceptional, the best we have experienced in any hotel. The buffet lunch is forgettable (although quite OK, but far from what you can get in the island's restaurants), go to nearby restaurants instead. All nearby islands are worth a visit. The Marina Suite is comfy, nicely decorated, fulfils all needs.

This is a very nice resort on the beach. Pool is also very nice specially for kids. Restaurant is nice, beach bar exists as expected, breakfast buffet has very good French food as well as american stuff (bacon, sausage, pancakes and all the other healthy stuff we like). No reef off the beach so you have to travel if you like snorkeling.

All though the drive from the airport was 45 minutes away, we were so happy to arrive at the quiet tranquility of the radisson blu. The grounds are beautiful and the room accommodations just perfect. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and relaxed poolside and by the secluded beach. Alain, the concierge, had the best recommendations, sending us to Ocean 82 and Loterie farms and other various places for dinner that were exquisite. He was also invaluable helping our couple friends who traveled with us locate their lost luggage (don't fly delta!) Getting taxis for our various excursions was super easy and they were all very friendly. Big recommendation is to take the half day or full day excursion to pinel island via captain Jo. Probably our best day there!! St. Martin has been our favorite Caribbean island destination (and we've been to them all) and plan to come back to the radisson blu again.

We as a family of 2 adults & 2 kids 4.5 and 5.5 yrs, stayed here for more than a week. This hotel is full of fantastic people, food and lots of interesting things to see. Don't forget to keep your eye open for Gaston! The beach was beautiful, waves so soft and calm. Rain never lasted more than 10 minutes and was warm. This hotel was kid friendly, without being catered to kids. Lots of French/European tourists. The French language allows you to experience another level but is not required to be understood. Special mention to Agnes, Christina, Sinthia who work at Le Marche restaruant for creating a special memory for my girls.

We sought a beautiful Caribbean island resort to relax by the sea in pampered comfort, away from crowds, but w/ability to easily go elsewhere for adventures. The Radisson Blu fulfilled all our requirements! (Take fun water taxi from the Sain Marteen airport, just 30 mins., to avoid much longer drive on winding mtn rds.) Resort's grounds are beautiful w/lush gardens, easy access to beach, pool, restaurants,etc. All rooms, except Marina suites, are located in two 3-story wings perpendicular to the beach, so there are no oceanfront rooms. But sea is distantly visible from "interior" rooms facing gardens. All rooms w/large balconies or patios & simply but well furnished. (We recommend upper floor rooms for more privacy.) Wonderful massages at Le Spa! Great beach bar w/very friendly staff who serve food & drinks at your beach chaise! Two Resort restaurants: Le C, feet from sea for lunch and dinner; pricey but w/excellent service and its own bar; Le Marche, 200 ft. from beach, serves delicious, sumptuous breakfast buffet (included), plus lunch & dinner. Resort has a small boutique for necessities & tasteful souvenirs. Next to Resort by Marina is small shopping area w/boutiques, market, sailing/scuba/snorkeling tours, creperie & 3 restaurants. (We recommend Victoria's Restaurant facing Marina.) The Radisson Blu's Staff at every level are extremely friendly, polite, and seem genuinely interested in ensuring that guests' needs are met or exceeded! Wonderful resort vacation!

Breakfast Buffet was good. Restaurant by water was very good. All restaurants are pricey but good. Calypso across the street is excellent. L' astrolabe should not be missed. Definitely rent a Jeep. Roads are rough and hard to negotiate. Worth the extra bucks to rent a jeep. We rented a Blue Mustang convertible which bottomed out all over the Island. There are 450 speed bumps. This Raddison is one of the nicest spot on the island. Price is good. Beach is the nicest on the island. Definitely stay at the Radisson get a Jeep and Cruise the Island.

Could not get a night of sleep here. Walls are paper thin and management did NOTHING to stop our lovely neighbors from blasting music and smoking cigarettes indoors all night. Do not stay here.

we enjoyed the marina suite, very private with the back porch overlooking the canal. It is only 10 min. drive to Grand Case for wonderful dinning experience. The beach is awesome, pure sandy bottom, crystal clear water. I look forward to our next stay there.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds were spectacular with an infiniti pool and beautiful foliage all around. The hotel was fully booked but there was no problem getting seating around the pool or beach. No getting up early to save your spot. The breakfast, included with your room, was wonderful. A pot of french press coffee made fresh at your table.

The hotel was nice enough, and quite nice by St Martin standards I suppose. It is situated in a sleepy little bay on the French side of the island (facing N/NW so not the best beach experience possible). It fell short of the quality of other Raddison Blu properties I have experienced, however, both in terms of quality of the facility and quality of service. For example, there was not any bottled drinking water provided in the room, we actually had to go to the supermarket in town to supply ourselves. This is definitely a departure from the usual Radisson Blu program. The hotel itself is perhaps a bit "tired"-- carpets a bit worn, decor a bit dated, etc. I was EXTREMELY disappointed not to get points on my Club Carlson Card (apparently because I booked through Expedia) as this was one of the primary drivers to my selecting Radisson Blu in the first place. Had I known they would not award me points for my week long stay, I would likely have made a different purchasing decision :-(

The hotel was beautiful with pristine grounds! The beach location was perfect and so very quiet, even though it was high season. At times we were the only people even in the water. The pool was beautiful and quiet and there was plenty of room for everyone. Buffet breakfast was ok, but the fact that it was free with the room leaves little room for complaint. Dinner at C Le Restaurant was good, but not perfect. As other reviewers note, the bathroom is strangely laid out with sliding doors instead of fully closing hinged doors and the tub/shower set up is interesting and leads to a lot of water on the floor. Regardless of these issues the hotel is still quiet, beautiful, relaxing and absolutely worth visiting. If you're not into the casino, nightlife scene and just want to relax on a beautiful beach- this is definitely the place to stay.

The hotel was just lovely. The rooms were very nice, and kept clean. The property was just magnificent. In fact, it reminded a lot like Hawaii, except it had a "FRENCH" flair. The pristine beach is nestled in between two beautiful mountains, the grounds were lush and kept immaculate and the pool is beautiful. The staff was very accommodating, the restaurant was very good as well. I would definitely recommend it and would go back in a heartbeat!!!!!

Everything at the hotel is overpriced. Make sure you stop by a convenience store on the way to pick up some waters- they cost about 8 euro at the hotel.

I stayed here once 15 years ago when it was a different name, and it is still the same gorgeous property. It is a great place to go if you want to stay at your resort and not use a rental car every day. The infinity pool is huge and offers plenty of privacy at one end if the families with children are at the other end. The beach is small but due to the remote location, is fairly private and peaceful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All you have to do is ask if you need or want something. They greet you with a welcome drink which is a very nice touch. They have a staff member who does come around at breakfast to each table to ask if all is well, if there are any problems or if you need anything. The spa is amazing and I do not say that lightly. Their masseuse Zoe is fantastic. The resort itself could not be any more beautiful or relaxing. It is fairly expensive but worth the money if you insist on high quality and excellent service.
