My mom, sister-in-law and I stayed here one night. The rates were reasonable when using a discount site to reserve the room. Our studio room had a broken sofa bed. Stayed here in a studio suite with our family of 5. Good room, but it had snowed the day before and the sidewalks and parking lot didn't have enough salt laid down. The breakfast was disgusting though. The nice thing is that the room had a nice full kitchen, so if you stay longer than a night, you can get groceries and cook yourself.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at the Chase Suites in Overland Park, KS and I am always pleasantly surprised at how affordable it is! They have great suites that are large, clean and include everything we need for a weekend. The staff is great and very accommodating!

My usual hotel in KC was booked, so I tried here. Overall a nice place to stay and everyone was very accommodating, except the person who was serving the breakfast was cleaning up and removing the breakfast items while some of us were in the middle of or just starting to eat. It looked like she was having a bad day for some reason. There was a Manager's […] reception similar to others, but the food was marginal (just like the breakfast), and there was a charge for refills, which was somewhat cheesy in my opinion. The only thing I have a complaint about is the fact that the wallpaper was coming off in the washroom, the washroom sink was coming apart and the dirt above the kitchen cupboards. Otherwise, it was a delightful place to get stuck, and well worth the price. I was told before I booked the hotel that the hotel was in the midst of rennovations so I'm sure […] they are aware of the issues and that once the renovations are complete, they will be better than the competition in the direct area. We loved the room. Very spacious. The fireplace requires wood which you can get from a nearby Wal-Mart or Home Depot. Kitchenette has full size stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. Coffee and water in the lobby is great. The fitness center is located off-site. Beautiful grounds with pool in the middle. Well maintained. The pull out sofa is not comfortable. […] The frame was broken and we had to pull the mattress off and sleep on the floor. It was ok but disappointing. The person at the front desk said ' thank you for letting us know, we never know its broke until someone reports it to us". My question is why didn't the maid or cleaning staff report the broken frame? No discount or compensation offered. Despite this we will be back. Overall we would give it a 4 stars out of 5. When I checked in, they told me nothing about the amenities such as breakfast. They also held 25% of my stay cost for incidentals when I told them there would be none. It would behoove Expedia's PR if this was posted on the site of the location at booking.

I will look to stay there again-my kids loved the rooms. The hotel is every family friendly and the staff go out of your way to help you. The only reason I gave a 4 out of 5 on condition is that some parts of the hotel are dated.

This is an Marriott property, Residence Inn. It needs some paint and general maintenance. Room was clean and everything worked as it should. They have full kitchens, but there is no ice! Staff was friendly, and there is a full service gym a few blocks away you can use for no charge. Stay was very nice. I was concerned with the noise level, being so close to the freeway but it turned out to be minimal.There are no ashtrays...anywhere. There was a large pile of cigarette butts on the patio of my hotel room that housekeeping did not clean but given the ashtray situation, what other option was there for the previous folks.

We should have known it wasn't going to be good when they said we was up graded to a double bed suite. We had booked a queen suite, how is a double bed a up grade? When we walked in the room it had a smell we couldn't decide what it was but as the night went on we noticed other smells that was just plain nasty. The room we were in was clean enough it did have a big dark stain at the foot of the bed. We were on the end unit closest to the highway and got the traffic noise. The fireplace was nice and they sold the logs in their store for the same amount as Walmart. The kitchen was nice and all in all nice hotel for the price.

We found many of the negative reviews to be too harsh. This hotel is conveniently located; our room was sizable, well laid-out, and there was plenty of closet and storage space. We loved the spacious suite with the comfortable king size beds. It was very clean and welcoming. Staff was helpful and friendly. On another note, the hotel was older and does need some updating. The only real negative was the hot water would run out quickly and we had to space out our showers.

The front desk clerk was the primary problem here. She first gave us a room without programming the keys, so we had to trek back through the cold to fix it. Then it was the wrong room. She was somewhat rude about the fact that it was not her problem that Expedia had booked the wrong room type for us--even though we booked through hotels.com.
