The hubby and I was very pleased with this resort. We must say that this is definitely a family resort and will be bringing our children back to stay. It was so wonderful we didn't even have to leave the resort. I will be coming back.

Had a nice vacation. Would stay again. The bathroom door wouldn't close but other than that the room was nice. Stay was very friendly and treated my kids well. Did have to travel some to get to food and shops but wasn't too bad . Overall it was a good time and we will be going back

Awesome resort! Room was amazing, lives the location very quiet yet not to far from all the activities. Amazing water park! All the staff were very helpful and very nice! We will be staying here every time we visit myrtle beach!!!!

Loved the location for the fact that it's not right into craziness of Myrtle boardwalk but drivable if want to be there. I know once my baby is old enough, she'll enjoy the water park and the play ground. Staff was really nice but when I called the lost and found to help retrieve my husband's wedding ring, I had to leave a message while office was still […] open and I didn't get a call back until the following day. There was no urgency nor concern on their part to help us out to the best of their capability. The ring was never found. I highly enjoyed hanging out at the beach and the pool and the picnic area. Liked the fact that we had a kitchenette in the room while having a restaurant available in case we didn't feel like cooking without having to leave the hotel. This is a place which has the children in mind yet catering to the adults that have to spend quality time with family. Overall good hotel for the price but the rooms and surroundings can be kept cleaner. Read more

This hotel is more for families. I saw many activities going on, but for a couple looking for a romantic stay this is not the place. The price was right, housekeeping could have been better, but for families it was ideal.

The resort has it all: 2 waterparks, 1 in each tower, several hot tubs, several pools and a lazy river pool with tubes. They also have 2 pool tables, 2 ping pong tables and shuffleboard. The rooms are so nice and the countertops are granits. There is a private vanity with fancy stool so you can get dressed that is outside of the restrooms. The balconies […] are large and there a 2 flat screen tvs in the suite. You really couldn't ask for more. Parking is free but across the street, valet is available if you want to pay 10.00 per day. I can't imagine what else they could have to make it better, perhaps a free breakfast. :) We made breakfast daily in our kitchette which was super clean. Book here you won't regret it. We take vacations twice per year and this resort has exceeded all my expectations. Read more

Hotel and amenities were great accept for housekeeping. We did not get our hotel room cleaned until 5 days into our stay. We constantly had to ask for toiletries and clean towels.

The resort is nice and it is only a couple of miles from the strip so we get the fun of the strip & still a peaceful vacation. The complaints that I have are with the resort staff and our room. First the staff wasn't so friendly. Sometimes we felt that we were inconveniencing them by asking for something. They spent a lot of time talking to each other. […] Now for the cleanliness. Our bathroom was not very clean when we got there! There was hair on the floor and sand all over the bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay here. There was a conflict with the type of room I was supposed to have gotten when I checked in from what I was told online. Nevertheless, what I got was ok and clean. We had a blast at this resort! Centrally located and on the ocean yet so far removed from the "night life" that we felt safe and happy to be there. So many amenities and children's activities that you never need to leave the resort!

I stayed here for a business trip and chose the hotel based on the price and that fact that it was on the beach. If I return to Myrtle Beach with my family this will be a great place to bring the kids. With the beach, waterpark and 2 two resturants we wouldn't have to leave the property.

The resort is awesome. There is so much to do and so much to have fun with children. We have a 2 year old, and between the beach and ocean, swimming pools, lazy rivers and kids playgrounds, we enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel staff was very sweet and accommodating. First time at Myrtle Beach and staying at Dunes Village Resort was a great decision. It was easy to get to. Once we checked in at the Palms tower, we were sent next door to our room which was the Palmetto tower. Our original room was on the first floor by the outdoor pool where people were lounging and laying out. With no privacy on the balcony at all […] we opt to change rooms. My fiancé went and spoke with a employee at the front desk for a switch and was denied. He then asked the manager on duty and we were taken care off and moved to the fifth floor which was way better. That was probably the only negative interaction we had during our entire stay. The room was great. The view of the ocean fron the balcony was incredible. We stayed at the Palmetto tower which had Starbucks coffee area. That was definately a PLUS! The staff were very professional and nice. I was kind of hesitant at first being that the resort caters to families and kids thinking that there were going to be a bunch of teenagers running around but it was the total opposite. The water park was fun for us and the Tiki bar outside was awesome for the adults. When we return next year we already decided on staying at Dunes again. Read more

The hotel offered all of the amenities as described. The view from our belcony was beautiful. Location superb. Hotel staff friendly and room clean. Parking was across the street. Only a couple of small details with lights needing repair. Beds comfortable and two TVs in our spacious efficiency/studio. Would stay here again.

I wanted to take my fiancée to the beach at the end of her school year, so we booked Dunes Village a few weeks in advance. Due to timing and a coupon, we got a real killer rate for 4 nights. The room had a terrific view of the ocean and was very large. The furnishings were basic, but still serviceable. The location is also pretty great, as we only drove […] 20 minutes at the most to get to local attractions. Our only problems were the fact that Biker Week was happening when we were in town, so we had to deal with the loud motorcycles everywhere we went, not the mention old men leering at my fiancée and that the hotel's Wi-Fi was down our entire stay. Their support told me they were working on it, but it was not fixed by the end of our 5 day stay. Minor complaints, overall. I would definitely recommend this resort. Read more

The staff was wonderful. Indoor waterpark saved our trip....mother nature was not cooperating. I booked a great rate though hotels.com $34.50/per night. The room usually go for $119/per night! The location is quiet and family oriented.

First impression was "just okay". There were chips in tile floor entry-way to our room, there were food crumbs on the loveseat, a Kool-Aid carton and Pringles lid on the floor by the air conditioning. Easily remedied, but shows poor attention to room cleanliness. The plastic mattress cover caused an uncomfortable sleeping temp, as it held in body heat […] and caused the bed to feel damp. The TV is awkwardly placed. The bathroom was clean, but be prepared for a "warm" shower, because the temp couldn't be adjusted to dispense hot water. By day three, the room "grew on us", ONLY because the ocean view is priceless. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. This is absolutely a "family" resort. Many children, lots of noise and crowded facilities. Not the place for a "romantic getaway for two" (unless staying during off-season). The resort hosts 2 towers and splits the amenities of "coffee shop", gift shop and exercise facility. The 2 resorts are not joined and does not offer a covered walkway between them. We had to walk in the rain to get coffee and use the gym in the 2nd tower. Additionally, the parking garage is across the street. There is good dining and shopping within a reasonable distance both south and north of the resort. We "may" stay again, but only during an off-season when the resort is more quiet. Read more

Very good ,staff very helpful,At first we we're given an upgrade but the chairs and sofa where very dirty and stained so they gave us what we had booked and it was very clean throughout and made our stay very enjoyable A nice location away from the husle and busle of the Boardwalk area
