The Weathervane Inn - Montague

The hotel itself was fine, however the customer service was terrible!! I booked my room through hotels.com and prepaid the room. However, a few days later I realized my card used for incidentals was also charged for the room. Not a big deal as I know that these mistkaes happen, but when I called to get it resolved I was given the runaround. I called […] a total of 3 times and each time I called I was told the manager was not in that day and would be in the following day. One day 3 of calling (obviously irritated at this point) I asked the receptionist if there was ANYONE else that could resolve this since the manager is never there when I call. She told me she could take care of it herself (wish the 1st person I talked to told me this and saved me time and energy). Finally I asked, "how long does it generally take to post back to my account?" She was told that she has no idea and I could call back in the morning to talk to the manager (who is obviously never there) to find out how long it would take. There was no apology for the mistake and they were obviously annoyed that I kept calling to get this resolved. Customer service is critical when you are serving the public! Our room was great and very clean. The fireplace was beautiful and the hot tub was just right. We were hoping to watch some dvd's but our television was not working properly. The staff put us in another roo that was identical to the one we had. They were very accomidating.

Hotel was very, very clean. We booked throu Hotels.com and received the cheapest rate , which was also the cheapest room that overlooked a roof (no view). So, we upgraded to a lovely room for a few more dollars.. Overall, the stay was perfect.

Very relaxing stay. Very relaxing environment. I wanted the hotel to have an elevator. I had to carry all of my luggage up a flight of stairs. This was difficult with a bad knee and arm.

Loved it! Booked online sight unseen after getting a great last minute deal. We got what I believe is the only room without a balcony but really didn't miss it. Room was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. My son loved the make your own Belgian waffle in the continental breakfast and I loved the dual shower heads and HUGE fluffy towels. Stayed […] there after visiting Michigan Adventure , nice and close. Very friendly staff too. The only thing that would have made it perfect if is they would have had a channel guide for tv. Being from out of town it took a long time to scroll through channels trying to find appropriate channels for my son. Read more

The Weather Vane Inn is definitely not your average holiday Inn or Best Western. From the outside, it looks like a boat dock marina with a rustic appeal. The front counter is a large fish tank with giant fish and they have fresh coffee and cookies in the lobby all day. Our room was well decorated with a natucial theme throughout. Every room has a balcony […] area with a nice view of the river. Our room was also equipped with a DVD player, fridge, microwave and jacuzzi hot tub. The price was comparable to other hotels in the area and but had a few nice amenities the others didn't, not to mention there's only 24 rooms here so the complimentary breakfast is stocked at all times and there's no wait to check in or leave. The only thing I think could of been better was the bed situation. The second bed was a pull out queen sofa sleeper and my childen complained it wasn't very comfortable, which sofa sleepers normally aren't as comfortable as a regular bed.
