Lost Lake Lodge - Whistler

We arrived late (~10pm) after flying all day and driving up from the airport through traffic. The front desk was closed and we had to drive all the way back to the village to the Blackcomb Lodge for check in. Not sure if I just missed this in our reservation or if it wasn't specified but the whole process of driving back and forth added an extra 45 […] minutes to our check in. Our room was great -- clean, comfortable, well-appointed. We had a small balcony overlooking the pool/hot tub area below and a fireplace. In unit washer and dryer was nice. The pool and hot tub were great -- perfect temperatures for both! The location of the hotel was not ideal. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the main village but the wait can be up to 15 minutes and it's about a 15 minute ride. Read more

First off the pictures of the condo did'nt represent the actual size of the room. Can you say small!!! The condo was very clean but cramp with the murphy bed and the pull out couch/bed. Forget about comfort!! The mattresses were hard as rocks! We were more sore from sleeping on the beds, then falling off our bikes on the mountain trails!! And don,t […] forget the hidden parking fee!! $20.00 a night!!! Really? i paid $8.00 to park 24hrs at the mountain parking lot, my car was parked 12 hrs. in the empty parking condo garage. We figured out the racket whistler has going on. The condo owner, the parking lot owner, the taxi cab company and the towing company, all benefit if you refuse to pay $20.00 to park in the condo that you paid to rent!!! $240.00 later, yes they towed our car!!! Let's be reasonable guys!! Include the parking in the price of the condo up front, no one likes hidden fees!!! Incredible mountain biking, but won't be back, thanks to the lost lake lodge! Read more

Very disappointed that my vehicle that was parked in the secure parking was broken into. The window was completely smashed in and the hotel didn't return my call regarding the break-in until 2 days later. Very poor customer service and disappointing.

To save money this hotel doesn't staff the front desk... Not like it's understaffed, they literally don't have any staff in the building, if you need anything you have to drive to the opposite side of town in the busiest part of whistler to go to another hotel's front desk. The check in instructions from expedia say nothing of this. Upon driving to […] the hotel after a day of skiing I discover this, after fighting traffic back across town the staff are the other hotel are rude and apparently no manager is on duty. We love the location; not far from the centre of town but far enough to have some piece and quiet. Very cozy rooms and very well equipped. The free shuttle came right in front of the hotel; it was ver practical for us during our stay.

our accommodation was great...far from the crowed and close to the nature...when we wanted to to go to the village, the free bus was just there or even walk, very close. close to the lake, trails and green. the pool was just perfect for the kids. we had fun there. we want to come back with all family!!

At check in wasn't aware of the $500 deposit that was required, which I had to pay in cash because i didn't have my credit card on me... which worked out okay. Also check in isn't on location. The hotel is a ways outta the village which is nice if you're looking for peace and quiet. Another annoyance was the only way to pay for parking at the hotel […] is by credit card, $20 a night. This hotel is showing it's age. The check-in is at a separate location and there are no staff on site. The bike storage is full of what looks like "owners" forgotten bikes and there was no room to store our bikes. the best feature of this hotel is the quiet location.

$40 for 2 nights of parking, mandatory, had to drive through a maze in town to check-in at a completely different location, on the very outskirts of town and not really walking distance to anything...on the plus, nice gym, outdoor pool, and hot tub. Will not be back.

Our company required staff accommodation located near the Four Seasons Resort. If you do not require Front Desk services then you will be fine at this property (i.e. the front desk is not open and I didn't see any staff on site during my 5 day stay). Remember that keys need to be picked up in advance at Blackcomb Lodge in the main Village. We were happy […] with room 227 at the Lost Lake Lodge as it was a one bedroom with both a murphy bed and pull out couch. Balcony with a view of Lost Lake & snow-capped trees, fireplace, washer & dryer and full kitchen made it a perfect place for our needs. While not deluxe, it was well furnished. The pool and hot tub are a bit dated; however, the surroundings are lovely-lots of trees and extremely quiet. You can stroll into the upper village in less than 10 minutes, the #5 bus is free and stops directly across the street from the Lodge on the way up and drops off right in Whistler Village on the way down. There were some inconveniences, partially dry bedding in the dryer, questionable cleanliness of some bedding, insufficient dishes, inoperable can opener, insufficient garbage bags, poor jet function in hot tub. Staff responded promptly to most concerns. Common area were clean. It was quiet. Surprised that there was not high definition.

We arrived at the Lost Lake Lodge in the evening only to find out a locked entrance door on which a note told guests to go down to the Whistler Village office to register. So we went there and got the room number and the key; meanwhile finding out the garage parking was extra $20/day. As I went to park the car after we got back to Lost Lake Lodge, […] my wife went to the 3rd floor but heard men's voice in the room. She brought our children to the lobby and waited for me to go have a look. At this moment, 3 men exited the building. I went upstairs and knocked on the door. Nobody answered. I opened the door with my key, and found beer bottles on the table, jackets on sofa and ski boots on the floor. Obviously the room was occupied by the 3 guys. The manager came after we phoned them to sort it out. She apologized for their error and gave us another room on the 5th floor. The whole process took 1.5 hours. Although the 5th floor room had the same setup as the original 3rd floor room, the manager tried to convince me that it was an upgrade and hinted that monetary compensation was unlikely. Considering that we will stay for 2 upcoming days yet, I did not insist on the compensation at that time. Fortunately, the services during the next 2 days did not have more surprises. Bedrooms were furnished with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds, kitchen well equipped; and the view nice. When checked out, I did not mention compensating the stress and hassle during the first night. Prettige plek en heel fijn dat er een keuken en aparte slaapkamer bij was. Het zwembad plus hottub vond ik zeer plezierig en erg leuk aangelegd. Onze kamer was ruim, het was er alleen een beetje donker en we waren genoodzaakt om steeds het licht aan te doen. We hadden geluk, het was een appartement met wasmachine en droger. Er was geen receptie aanwezig […] en dat gaf het appartementencomplex een beetje een verlaten sfeer. Er was ook geen wifi op de kamer, wel in de lobby. Keukengerei was zeer beperkt. Aantal zaken in het appartement waren wel aan vervanging toe. Gezien de prijs die we hebben betaald voor dit appartement waren we echter dik tevreden en zou ik het anderen zeer zeker aanraden. Dans cette résidence (en fait, il ne s'agit pas vraiment d'un hôtel car il n'y a aucun service hôtelier sur place), on dirait que tout est fait pour vous compliquer la vie : - service sur place inexistant. Le check-in / check-out doit se faire à un autre hôtel au centre de Whistler (comment perdre 1h30 la première journée, quand on se retrouve devant […] la porte fermée de la résidence). - interdiction d'emmener les skis dans la chambre (soit...), mais les locaux à skis sont fermés le soir jusqu'à 7h du matin (donc raté si vous devez partir tôt). - si vous n'êtes pas en voiture il faut prendre un bus pour aller au centre ville (aucun commerce ou restaurant à proximité) ou au départ des pistes, dont les fréquences laissent à désirer. - pas de service de chambre pendant le séjour (pourtant un séjour de deux jours coûte aussi cher que deux séjours de 1 jour...) - Piscine et spa à l'extérieur : idée pas mauvaise mais la piscine pourrait être un peu plus chaude. Le bain boulonnant est correct mais souvent surpeuplé. À coté de ça il faut quand même souligner les quelques points positifs : - même si la chambre n'est pas des mieux disposés, elle est quand même propre et bien rangée au check-in et comprend de nombreuses commodités (savon + champion + petite cuisine + café + laveuse/sécheuse...) - le personnel du Whistler lodge qui est chargé du check-in / check-out est sympathique et accommodant : possibilité d'accéder à la piscine en attendant l'heure du check-in, possibilité de laisser des bagages... Bref : si la différence de prix n'est pas trop importante, mieux vaut aller ailleurs (plus proche du centre ville et des pistes) Read more

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen, das Zimmer war groß und sauber, die Ausstattung sehr gut. Leider hat der Internetanschluss nicht funktioniert. Die Rezeption ist nicht besetzt, zum Check Inn muss man nach Whistler fahren, das ist ärgerlich wenn man es vorher nicht weiß und außerdem kommt niemand bzw ist niemand erreichbar wenn man kleine Probleme hat […] wie eben z.B. den Internetanschluss. Parken kostet zusätzlich 20$ pro Tag. Hotelpersonal haben wir in der Lodge während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht gesehen. Insgesamt aber ist die Unterkunft für den Preis absolut zu empfehlen. Read more
