"Nice place, a little removed from town."
This was a reasonably comfortable room, though not especially spacious, with a small kitchen that included a sink, a small cooktop, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a coffee maker. The hotel has a fitness center with a treadmill, a bike, and an elliptical, and some dumbbells. The hotel staff was helpful. The free breakfast in the morning was good with an emphasis on healthy foods (lots of whole grain cereals and breads, fruit, and nuts; no bacon, sausage, or eggs, but there was a waffle iron). There is a $20/day parking fee. This hotel is sort of removed from town (maybe 3 or 4 miles from Whistler Village), but there is a free bus shuttle into town on a half-hour schedule. I'd stay there again.

"A comfortable, unpretentious room"
The Coast Blackcomb is a great place to stay in Whistler - but maybe not for everyone. The rooms are pleasantly comfortable and I believe most have kitchenettes and fireplaces. Great touches. Decor and overall appearance is not flashy, but seems to appeal to a more casual crowd. The suites are very pet-friendly which is a big plus should you be traveling with the family pooch. I'd prefer that some of the owners kept a bit more control over their animals - but that could be a plus or minus depending on your feelings about being mobbed by wet, fresh off the trail labs. The free breakfast is worth every penny, by which I mean it is abysmal. Rubbery eggs, stale pastries and other items typical of the ghastly continental breakfast common in lower end hotels define the faire. Other guest seemed to be swarming the offerings, but we found them to be unpalatable. Great food is available just down the hill. The location is also a mixed blessing. We loved that it was located at the end of the road. Nothing but trees uphill from it. It also sits along one of Blackcomb's ski slopes. For us, it was a simple walk straight down the hill into the Village (maybe 10 minutes). But the slope is steep and probably not for people who don't do much walking. There is a free bus that picks up outside the Suites and goes to the village. We could never hit the timing and so didn't use it. Walking up the ski slope is a bit more challenging but kind of enjoyable.

"First Time to Whistler"
Very nice resort. The rooms are very comfortable, and the full kitchen came in handy. The only drawback was the chair stationed in front of the fireplace. The location would be great for ski season, as you can ski right to the back door, but is a little away from the Village. You can either pay 23 bucks a day for parking, park down the hill and have a ten minute walk up to the Lodge, or park down in the Village and take a bus back up. Nice daily breakfast and enjoyable pool/jacuzzi area.

"Not up to American hotel standards at all"
If you want a camping experience, this is your hotel. We stayed Aug 23-Sept 1, 2013. The room is terribly outdated and heavily used. Doesn't seem that they have renovated this hotel in 20 years. Beds are hard as a rock, sheets are so thin you can see through them. Couch is so uncomfortable the kids sat on the gross stained carpet. The kids bunk bed made so much noise when they rolled over at night it woke them up. Bathrooms were not cleaned and as others mentioned, had mold in them. Finally, this place is so far from everything else, it isn't worth saving the extra money. I will never stay here again, and will advise others not too as well. American hotel standards are much higher in the US compared to Whistler in general.

"Quiet place to spend a holiday"
I am quite satisfied with my stay. Though it was just an overnight stay, my family and I really enjoyed the comfort of the room. We reserved a 2-bedroom suite and it feels like we we're just home. it was a corner room which is just right with big windows and nice view. It was Ironman event so there were so many people who checked in. There was a complimentary breakfast which was convenient and 24-hours coffee at the lobby. Parking fee is not cheap though but we were able to spend another day at the village and was allowed to leave our car until 6pm. We will definetely come back and will recommend this place to my friends who wants to spend time in Whistler.

"Great Hotel, Great Location"
Great Hotel, Great location, Great Breakfast. Just have to pay $22/night additional for parking. Beautiful setting. When we visited, it was too crowded, so the hot tub was full of teens having fun/noisy. Also, because of being so crowded, there were long lines for breakfast popular items (waffles), and they kept running out of stuff including silverware. But other than that, everything was great.Whistler is a beautiful place, and we really enjoyed our visit. the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

"get a good rate here"
Overall a pleasant place for families, especially midweek when it isnt overcrowded. Had a decent continental breakfast, clean rooms with balconies and fresh air. This isnt a premium priced place so dont expect the ritz, but it can be fairly priced. located next to a quiet forested area. the only real complaint is that It can get very crowded, especially on weekends, and the partying can go on late, and the pool/spa can become overrun. Furniture is basic, not the best, but again get a good rate here.

"Location great"
We visited whistler to hike and take in the village atmosphere. We hiked out the door of the hotel. You can tell the hotel gets a beating from ski boots in the winter but the place was clean. We liked the breakfasts and shuttle down to the main village. The pool has a great location -slope side. There was no AC but that's typically in whistler.

"Family review"
Ok, this hotel is great value for any family. You will get a big room, ensuite kitchen is a huge plus. Lots of dishes, pots, glasses etc. Good planning to think of items for the room. Big bottles of soap, shampoo are such a treat. Hopefully the hotel gets to read the reviews because a little more attention to dusting in room would be good. Halls to rooms could use a lighter fresher look, rooms seem a little in need of an update. The beds are very comfy pillows are great. AC in room would be appreciated, the fans did not work so well and were quite dusty. Pool is very nice, breakfast is plentiful, staff were all very helpful and friendly. Bus shuttle is timely and the only way to go. Location is away from the village but we like the seclusion and mountainside beauty. Chairlift to blackcomb is a short walk down the slope then take the peak to peak to whistler mountain. Book lift pass online in advance for a 2 for 1 day deal. So the hotel is very good just a few minor touches would take it a long way. It is pet friendly so be aware of that. It is a good deal even with a $23 a day parking fee.

"Wonderful Stay!"
The hotel is very nice. I was very pleased to find a 2 bedroom hotel with 2 beds for the kids at this price (typically, we have to settle for a 1 bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room). I was also pleased that I got to choose the option for 2 beds, rather than a bunk bed. The apartment is spacious and laid out well. We had the woods behind us so it felt very peaceful. Behind the hotel by the pool you can easily walk down to the village (there's a kid zone at the base). You can reserve the barbeque area (by the pool). The shuttle leaves every 15 minutes; short easy ride. The breakfast is not bad for being included but I prefer protein over carbs for breakfast so I simply cooked an egg in the room and grabbed yogurt and toast for breakfast. They do have (cold) hardboiled eggs at the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again; and am glad to not have put too much weight on the reviews of those who complain about every little detail. This is Whistler, one of the most beautiful places on earth! who cares about the parking spaces being tight, or the elevator being slow, or the shuttle running every 15 minutes? It is presumptuous to expect more for this amazing value. You're on vacation; relax. and enjoy this paradise!

"nice stay, nice location"
Everything was good, a bit more variety for the breakfast buffet would help but this is not a serious issue. The pool is great, internet worked, exercise room was ok. Our one bed-room suite was ok as well - comfy! One of the pillows had a really strange strange smell and the couches and the kitchen seemed a bit used and dated, but not to a degree that would keep us from coming back sometime in the future. This is no criticism of the cleaning personnel though, they were reliable, worked hard and were absolutely nice, it is only a suggestion that the rooms could benefit from an upgrade sometimes soon. We very much liked the location on the hill, a 5 minute walk from the upper village. The location is well separated from all the village buzz (it is nice and quite) but close enough to get to the village by foot any time.

"Main bedroom was ok but bunk beds were terrible"
Even though we got there an hour early, it was a Wednesday afternoon and I was a little surprised that our room wasn't ready. But that wasn't really their fault. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom suite last Wednesday night and although I was pretty happy with the suite and comfort of the bed, when we woke up the next morning, we found out that the two teenagers had slept terribly. The bunk beds squeaked with every move they made and kept them up all night. :( They were tired and unhappy. The cupboards had only a few plates and cups, we didn't realize until the next day that they were sitting clean in the dishwasher. A note would have been nice. The pool and hot tubs were nice :) The breakfast was ok, fresh fruit, oatmeal, muffins, waffles, toast, coffee and juice. More than I expected. :)

Unfortunately for the hotel when we checked into our room it was clean enough though it seemed but after taking off my shoes and going from the kitchen into the bathroom I stepped on a piece of class that didn't get vacuumed up and punctured the bottom of my heel it was not pleasant. "Good Value if you don't need to be in the Village"
We enjoyed our stay and thought it was a great value for our fairly large 2 BR condo. We had a great view of the pool and mountain with a large balcony. The pools and hot tubs are a large size and were not busy at all. Breakfast was a nice spread and included in the price. There was cereal, yogurt, granola, hard boiled eggs, waffles, pastries, and bagels. The resort is in need of some paint here and there and breakfast can get crowded if there is a big group staying at the resort.

The location was great, right on the slope. The free bus to the village was a short ride for dinning, and shopping. The hotel is a bit dated, but the ski shop is right in the hotel for those who rent their equipment. Great views from the hot tubs and pool. The cleaning staff was great, but the fromt desk was flakey. Did not inform us of anything going on nor had any answers to our questions or even seemed to care. "Best for skiing"
From door of your room to the wizard chair lift, it's less than five minutes, maybe a little more if you have to wait for the elevator. Ridiculously convenient. Room was very clean, bed comfortable. I had seen complaints about noise/thickness of walls, but didn't really notice anything unusual for a hotel. Room came with free wifi and breakfast; breakfast was plentiful cereal, oatmeal, toast, waffles, pastries, fruit. Not fancy or ellaborate, but fine and good to fuel us for a solid five hours on the slopes. Hotel had pool and two hot tubs, which were always busy but never crowded since they could accommodate 20-30 people combined. Only slight downsides are the charge for parking and the lack of a bar/restaurant. If we had planned better, we would have made use of the kitchenette in room and made our own dinner, so even this isn't that big of an issue. I've now been to five different places in Whistler - all of them fine and good - but this was my favorite by far for convenience and value.

We stayed here for a week and skied 6 days. Pros: The staff have very good customer service, the ski shop/storage is nice to have on site, the breakfast is great, the ski slope is steps away, 2 hot tubs are large enough for at least 12 people each, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Cons: sometimes we waited for more than 15 min to catch the bus down to the village at prime times during the day/night (we ended up driving our car and parking at the grocery store where they had free parking for up to 2 hours), parking at the hotel is expensive, and wireless Internet is extremely slow.

"Real ski-in/ski-out; service need improvement"
This is one of the few REAL ski-in/ski out in Whistler/Blackcomb area. So REAL - that - except by the car - the best way to each the hotel is on ski. OR you need to walk on the mountain. There is a free bus that going to Whistler and it take less then 10 minutes. From another point - the place is very-very quiet, especially compare to Whistler village, full of night bars. My one bedroom room was simple, but nice and comfortable. Breakfast has many choices. The only issue with this hotel is service. Their maintenance/room service/some front desk people need a little bit more training, saying least ...

"Would definitely stay here again"
The hotel is a bit out of the village, but would be great for ski in/out during the winter. We went to Whistler for Thanksgiving weekend for the Turkey Sale/Ski Swap, which was just a short walk down to the base of Blackcomb, but there is also a free shuttle bus available to get anywhere else. The hotel staff were great. Our coffee maker wasn't working and they had someone sent up to the room to replace it within 5 minutes of us calling the front desk. It is nice to have breakfast included in the price of the accommodation - nothing fancy, but certainly provides for a good, worry free start to the day. Room was very clean and comfortable, with full kitchen - even made a full Thanksgiving turkey dinner, although had to buy a roasting pan for the turkey since the room didn't come with that. All-in-all a great place to say - highly recommended.

"Nice hotel, but very hot!"
We didn't realize when we booked this hotel that it didn't have AC. That was our mistake for sure. We never would have booked it if we had known because we were traveling with our English Bulldog that does not do well in the heat. The hotel was clean and the location was okay. We liked the walk down the mountain so that was fine. There was also a shuttle that would take you into the village which was handy. Our only major complaint was how hot the room got. We kept the curtains and blinds closed during the day and it still turned into an oven. When you pay over $500 for two nights (including parking and pet stay) you would think you would get AC! I would stay again if we went back in the winter, but definitely not in the summer!
