Location is in a professional business park area. Other Hotels as well as commercial business. Very clean area. No thoroughfare traffic and noise. Close by there is a very nice selection of Restaurants. Hotel room was really very nice. Plenty of room with plenty of housewares to make you feel comfortable. Two nice size flat screen tv's - one in living […] area and one in bedroom. Bedroom area had a set of French doors to close off bedroom to living area. Full refrig - dishwasher, microwave w/ convection oven, 2 burner electric stove top, coffee maker, full set of utensils, silverware and dish sets. Very clean, quiet and very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of storage as well. There is a safe in bedroom closet as well. Overall all very pleased and wonderfully happy to find a hotel that our family can stay comfortably when down visiting our son who attends American University without breaking the bank every time we come to Washington DC area. Only about 20 miles from his college and very easy to travel without to much nutty traffic in-between. There is a very nice pool in the center of the inner courtyard open to the outside which creates nice intimate resort feel as well as a very nice breakfast buffet. There is a restaurant as well as bar area on site as well. Very nice open and comfortable lobby area with grand piano. Crates a very nice feel when you first arrive. We will most certainly return on our future trips to Washington DC area. Read more

We recently stayed here for a night on business. I was expecting a decent room but new it wasn't anything expensive or luxury. When I opened the door I couldn't believe it. The suite was very large and had anything you could think of. Dishwasher refrigerator microwave stove top toaster oven dishes pots and pans the list goes on and on! And everything […] was clean and well cared for. Within the first half hour I received a call from the front desk to make sure I was satisfied. Excellent service. And the breakfast in the morning wow!! We were running late but when my husband saw there was eggs and sausage biscuits and gravy etc we just had to grab a plate. Delicious! The stay was far less than expected. The room was poorly lighted. The thermostat did not work and even though I reported and a maintenance man came, he did not repair. The in-room refrigerator ran constantly and was not fixed even though I reported it. Handles were missing from two of the drawers in the dresser. The people were wonderful. The room was just fine, though showing a few signs of wear. It was clean and comfortable except that when we walked in it was HOT. Thinking someone just turned the heat up too high, we turned the off, waited 5 minutes as the instruction said, and then turned the air conditioning on. The air came out cool so we thought we had […] it taken care of. However, we both woke up HOT in the middle of the night. The thermostat said 90 degrees. Nothing we tried kept it from switching back to hot. We didn't want to call the desk and have someone check it or switch rooms because it was the middle of the night, so we opened the door a crack. The people at the desk the next morning were nice about it and gave us an adjustment on our bill, but we were both tired from no sleep. I'd still recommend the place. Just don't get that room! When we arrived they put us at the back of the hotel two buildings away from the desk. We were on the second floor and the elevator was not working. After we got to the room neither key worked so I had to go all the way back to the desk. When we got in the room there were only two large towels and the room was not vacuumed. In the middle of the night […] the A/C went out and the room got unbearably hot. The next morning we reported it and asked that it be fixed by the time we returned in the evening. It was in the mid 80's all day and we were tired when we returned to the room only to find that the keys did not work again. I had to go back the the desk two buildings away and get new keys. When we opened the room it was 90 degrees. No one had looked at the A/C. They said they would send someone up. We waited for an hour in the heat. Finally someone showed up. The A/C worked until we went to bed and the nightmare began again. Advice to fellow travelers. NEVER STAY HERE. PS. Hotels.com said it was around 9 miles from where we needed to go. It was closer to 20 and lots of traffic. Also it was in an industrial park with nothing around it. Read more

Information the Hotel gives out needs updated. At least 2 hotels they recommend in their room folder do not exist and the times for hotel facilities are wrong. The restaurant listed as in hotel is the breakfast area and does not serve lunch or dinner at all. Breakfast was good but they need more seating for busy weekends. Especially for Vegetarian and Vegan guests it is too tough that they don't provide any food which is vegetarian or vegan. We wanted an inexpensive place to spend the night before our day-trip with the kids to see one of the Smithsonian museums. This place was a short shuttle ride to the metro. We arrived in time to take a train into Chinatown to visit one of our favorite restaurants. We were told the last shuttle pick up was at 10:30 pm. When we called the hotel at 10:15 […] we were asked to take a taxi but that we would be reimbursed with a receipt. Well what a dilemma we had on our hands, there were two adult females with 4 kids total to find a taxi that could accommodate us! The hotel did make good on its promise to reimburse us, although the desk clerk was surprised to see that we were charged double fair for a large party! This hotel is old. The rooms open to the outside which may be a concern for safety conscious individuals. One of our two rooms had a very loud heater which interfered with a good night's rest. The beds were comfortable. The tub and sink are old and show nicks and stains but were clean. The rug looked to have been replaced but installation was poor due to glue stains and a big lump on the side of the bed. The rooms were quiet as we could not hear any noises from our adjoining rooms. The breakfast was great: waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, juices, cereal, bagels, coffee, tea and milk! If you are planning an extended stay, there is a lot of storage space and a mini refrigerator. Don't expect the Taj Mahal and you'll have a comfortable stay. Read more

I stopped by to rest during my trip and couldn't get any sleep. It was cold and the heat wasn't working. The key to get to the main building wasn't working either. I had to check out early only 3-4 hours into my stay because of the cold. Terrible experience

My stay was really good here in this hotel comaparatively other hotels. Front desk service attendants are so nice especially the guy STEVE . He is a perfect front desk guy having very cooperative and professional skills. In my room heat was not working and he sent a maintenance guy to fix that problem and after that he himself made a call to my room […] to make sure heat is working properly now. In other incidence my room key was not working and I was stuck outside, when I made a call to front desk, Steve rushed to wards my room with a new key within a seconds, my room was very far from front desk though. The Suite size was ample, but you must learn to ignore the large rattle noise coming from the heater. Called the front desk and they did not even bother checking it out because they said all the rooms were the same, Lost lot of sleep and found it difficult to maintain my normal biorhythm.

When we walked in we were so pleased and surprised at the size of the rooms as well as the kitchenette that was included that we didn't know we would be getting. The bedroom with the King size bed was separate from the livingroom area with the pull out sofa bed. We could have closed the doors if we needed privacy. There was a TV in both rooms. The bathroom […] was clean. There was even a dishwasher in the kitchenette. It was close to the metro - just a short drive and that's why we really chose this hotel. The gym area was disappointing. Very little equipment and the stairclimber didn't work correctly. The BIG problem was it was only in the 20-30 degree range the night we stayed and there was no HEAT in our room. The heater was blowing out cool air and the thermostat was reading 67 degrees. My husband went to the front desk and they told him to cycle the heater by turning it off, waiting 5 minutes and turning it back on. That didn't work. I called the front desk and they said someone from maintenance would look at it. No one ever came to the room and we never got heat for the evening. The next morning the breakfast was OK but there was no fresh fruit. There were two waffle makers and a few hot items. No bacon. Our initial thoughts were this would be better than expected but it turns out it was far less than expected. Glad we only stayed one evening. Read more

It is an excellent hotel with low price. We are very satisfied with our stay during the Christmas holiday. They provide free parking, free wi-fi, flat-screen TVs in both bedroom and living room. They provide free shuttle to Metro station. One other thing I want to mention is they provide free buffet breakfast! The breakfast is really delicious and has […] lots of food to choice from. Two weeks earlier, I stayed at Hilton Rockville for a business trip, which we paid much more. But Hilton ask you pay extra money for parking ($15/day), wi-fi ($10/day) and no free breakfast and much less TV channels. Custom service in both hotels are pretty good. So, if you are having a leisure trip and you pay yourself, I think Quality Suite is a better choice. If it's a business trip, you can go to Hilton. Read more
