ELOUNDA GULF VILLAS AND SUITES - Crete

Apartments offer stunning views over Malia Bay. Owner of property was very attentive to ensure my family had an enjoyable vacation. Highly recommend this property.

Spent 2 nights as the first part of our honeymoon tour of Crete and had a fantastic time. The compound is huge with a main pool in the lobby level, a little beach, and multiple semi-private sunbathing areas built into the cliff overlooking the sea. Stayed in a bungalow with ocean view (complimentary upgrade upon check-in!) which had a private balcony. The room was very clean and comfortable, although the mattress was a bit firmer than I am used to. The concierge/reception staff is outstanding, both Kostas and Maria were exceptionally polite and helpful in every way. The dinner buffet had a large selection and was quite good, except that there were not many Greek food selections. It seems to me that it is intended to cater to primarily european vacationer tastes. The resort is within walking distance to town, about a 20-30 min casual walk along the coast. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it.

OMG words cannot describe the experience. From the moment we stepped out of the cab and saw the view, it took our breath away. The place was phenomenal. It was more like a ten million dollar view from everywhere you stood. Every detail was attended to politely and efficiently. Food at the taverna a MUST. Definitely a keeper in our books.

The location and view from the rooms at this hotel is simply fantastic. Terrific value. The staff is also excellent--very helpful and friendly. I would note, however, that the A/C in at least our room, was somewhat sub-optimal and once activated on our arrival, it took the better part of the night to bring the room to a comfortable temperature. I would recommend asking the hotel staff to turn it on in advance of your arrival, if you plan to be remaining in the room immediately upon check-in. Other than that small point, absolutely no complaints.

The people were very friendly, the room was breath taking and the bed was sooo comfortable. My girlfriend and I ensured we left with the name of the mattress and pillows and ordered them online. Only down fall was the breakfast that came with it, it was nice if you like fruit, bread, jam and one hard boiled/half hard boiled egg. But over all, I will diffenetly stay there again and again. Location was right across from the beach and behind the main harbor. Noise was a little loud, but A/C and WIFI were awesome there. Weather was great. If you go to this area, this is a hotel for you!
