The room was clean and comfortable, but the fridge is empty and they don't say much at reception. When I arrived, they barely greeted me, but then I suppose that's better than in your face over friendliness! Location is ok, actually quite good in terms of access to the subway (2 blocks) and the wide choice of Brooklyn bars and restaurants is only about a 25min walk or $8 in a cab.

Bathroom spacious, bedroom very tight, thin walls allow noise from other rooms, doors slam noisily, parking only for 10 cars, on-street parking ok for weekend, stand-up breakfast of donuts & muffins & juice & coffee in the tiny lobby. Delta shower fixture with controls installed up-side-down -- makes temperature control a bit cumbersome. Internet access well hidden and not wi-fi. Cigarette burn holes in comforter for a non-smoking room.

For the price, the hotel was pretty good. Decent complimentary breakfast. Room was clean, on the smaller side but that's to be expected. Bed was comfortable and location was not bad. My only complaints are that the walls facing the hallway are thin and I could hear everything going on. It was especially noisy in the morning and my room was located right next to a storage closet used by housekeeping. Annoying, but not too cumbersome: I had to take my keys to the front desk every night because somehow the code was changed or the card was demagnetized. Therefore, I couldn't get into my room after I left. Overall, it was a pretty decent 3-night stay. I'd definitely stay again, but perhaps get a room higher up due to street noise.

And we were thankful for the free parking, eventhough they cannot accomodate too many cars (maybe 10 cars). The free breakfast was great too. The lobby and breakfast area is locared right in front of the elevator and entrance door. Little bit crowded, so don't expect to have a place so it down on, the breakfast is a grab and go type. I would stay here again.

We chose this hotel because of the price and its location near a metro station. It also needed to be in a decent neighborhood. All these were true. We felt safe walking the three blocks to the metro and enjoyed watching the kids heading for school as we ate breakfast at the corner diner. The major problem was the size of the room. Ours had two full beds as we requested. There was about 30" between the foot of each bed and the wall. The desk and the chest below the TV were 18" deep, leaving barely enough room to squeeze past. The door grazed the corner of one bed. The chair was wedged between the side of the other bed and the window wall nowhere near the desk. According to the emergency exit plan ours was the narrowest room available. Other rooms with different dimensions and other bed sizes may have more space. On the positive side, our bathroom was brand new and very clean.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, I was expecting a lot less. The hotel had a clean lobby, elevator, hallways, room and bathroom. Everything was clean, though the carpet in the room was do for a shampooing. The television had a lot of static, though I was not there enough to call the front desk and try to get it fixed. I only grabbed a donut for breakfast but it seamed fine for a continental. The section of Brooklyn is more of an urban area, but seemed fine when I walked to and from the subway. There are only 10 parking spots, (2 for handicap) so that is a draw back if you are not one of the eight and have to park on the street. Overall I would say this was a very good hotel to stay at.

I found that the description of the hotel, along with the previous guest reviews, led me to expect both the advantages and disadvantages of the hotel. It does in fact have no lobby, and even within the small rooms, the layout made trying to use the phone and the wireless together very difficult. However, those were small concerns compared with uneasiness about staying in Brooklyn. My overriding concern was location. In an unfamiliar neighborhood known as "not the best," I appreciated how close the hotel was to the subway and how easy the directions were to find it.
