This was a wonderful 4 day vacation. The rooms was modern and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. I read some reviews that complained about the AM Radio station across the street. We enjoyed listening to the live Jazz and jamming that local musicians engaged in each evening. The music was extremely GOOD. They wrapped up by 10pm - […] as did most of the Live Music in all of the Clubs. Lots of local restaurants, clubs, and shops to explore. No real need for a car the 4 days we were there. The hotel was old and outdated. It was clean, but smelled musty. The wireless did not work in our room and there is no one at the front desk after 5:00 p.m. It was supposed to be near the beach, but in reality, it was across the street and our two views were both of parking lots.

Our stay was awesome with VERY large, clean rooms and a friendly staff. We stayed in the studio apartment with a king murphy bed. Bed was so comfortable despite what you may think of a murphy bed. The kitchen was full sized and beautifully equipped with everything you would need. Hotel is in the middle of so many things to do around town. Miniature […] golf, restaurants, pier, and shops located right outside the hotel. Everything is within walking distance and what is not you can ride the free trolley. The only negative thing is that since I am a light sleeper, I was awoke many times with people enjoying themselves at the bar in the early morning hours (3-4am) down the short block. Never been to a resort where there is no management on the premises after 5pm daily, can't even get Ice, no machines. If you try to check in after 5 pm you must try to figure out how to get into your room. On our second night the outside lights were out so walking on the 3rd floor was dark and difficult to see the key lock, Dave the weekend parking […] attendent was helpful in finding the breaker that had tripped. He also was helpful finding a place to park since all the locals take every parking spot from the guests at the resort since there is no assigned parking and they visit the Bar and entertainment. On my checkout day being on the 3rd floor I was to find the Elevator not working with all my luggage. Called the office and they said they would promptly look into it The maintainence man was called and found another breaker tripped, after resetting the breaker so the elevator worked he proceeded back to blowing all the dust and dirt allover the cars and premises. Our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel is very easy to find just south of the Cortez Bridge after the roundabout. To be in such a central location, we expected there to be some wear to the hotel. The hotel is well maintained with all the comforts of home. We would stay here again.

Arrived in the hotel 6pm ,front office closes by 5pm. Tried to ring the number posted outside the office re: keys for room,couldn't contact them , good thing the Bistro restaurant manager saw us and rang them with his own mobile ( he knows them#. Had high expectations basing on ratings from previews reviews, but honestly ,it's just an average hotel. #been […] in different kinds of hotels in my life, so trust me# Pros: Near the beach, just across the road . Maybe good for families with kids coz of the extra beds. Friendly ladies at the reception and helpful too. Warm and friendly breakfast lady @ the bf room. Walking distance where u can buy groceries/drinks. Free beach umbrellas and beach chairs to use Cons: Our room looks average #Royal queen). Old furnitures but clean anyway.Some two star hotels can even have better looking rooms. They say has beach view that's why I booked this hotel, hmmm, no beach view in our balcony. It overlooks to post office backyard with the view of the big postal vehicles,hmm. The screened balcony is not private,as you can see people passing by and going down the stairs and they can see you. No safe in the room. They have bags in the office where u can lock your valuables and they will lock it for you in their office that opens 9am to 5pm. I would not say it's good value for money. I stayed in residence inn,marriot sanibel/ fort myers before we moved to Bridgewalk , but residence inn has much cheaper rate with great service and great rooms. Read more

Everything was great. Check in took just a couple minutes, got our keys, and were on our way to our room. Parking was free and the blue parking areas were for guests only (the hotel actively protects guest parking) so we never had to hunt a space. The hotel could not be more centrally located and our 22nd Anniversary stay was wonderful.

Please be aware that you need to make sure you get there for check-in before 5 pm or the office will be closed. You need a code to get your key to the room. The perfect base from which to explore this very lovely part of Florida. Great location, 50 yards from the beach and with bars and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly and unfailingly helpful. Only slight quibble is the pool which is much smaller than I expected, but with the ocean so close it hardly matters.

I don't know if this has been mentioned by other guests but at the end of the street there is a lively bar which is well patronised.
