Very good
"Nice hotel, but room left a lot to be desired"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
We stayed at this hotel for a short getaway and were hoping for a plush 4 star hotel. The public areas of this hotel are really beautiful, and the champagne bar is absulutely amazing with gorgeous cocktails. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, however the room we had was an upgraded room, but personally I would not have rated this room as anything but standard. it seems the hotel strives for a modern feel in it's rooms, but it just ended up looking cheap. I was extremely disappointed. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, apart from pillows which were very uncomfortable. Overall the ABode is a very nice hotel with fab staff, but their rooms leave a lot to be desired.
"Close to the city within the countryside"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
An excellent hotel. Friendly owners, enormous breakfasts, attentive service and in a lovely location.
"Loved our stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
The Mercure Oak was very conveniently located for Wigan town centre and the room was small bur perfectly formed. The bed was enourmous and incredibly comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly so I couldn't ask for more expecially for such a good price.
"Perfect spot for the marathon"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Overall the hotel was ok. The bed was quite small and the decor was a bit aged but it was clean and service was good. It was the perfect location for visiting Old Trafford and this year's marathon course. We also found the tram (3 min walk) a great way to travel into central Manchester and with a travelcard for the whole weekend of £5, very affordable too.

"Excellent hotel experience"
From the first moment we walked in to the hotel the staff were very friendly and attentive, asking if we needed help with our luggage! Received a free drink coupon when checked in which was a nice touch. Room was in immaculate condition, however it seemed the safe was not bolted to the wall, but did not worry me too much! Had full access to the gym […] facilities, which includes a decent sized swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, very relaxing indeed. Only a 10 minute max walk to the arndale shopping centre, even closer to King street where we went for food during the evening, very straight forward to and from the hotel. Will deffinately stay again, possibly at the weekend as I found out it would have been slightly cheaper! Read more
We really enjoyed the stay, staff very friendly and helpfull, room and hotel spotless. this was or second stay at the hotel and looking at dates to rebook.
"Radisson Edwardian, Manchester"
Standard business hotel. Bedroom OK - valance looked a bit jaded and pillows in room were dreadful for a hotel of this quality. Breakfast could have been better - distinct lack of fruit/yoghurt type options. Staff on the whole were very helpful and the public areas were clean. Swimming pool and gym are useful additions..
"Overrated price"
Decent hotel with no frills but it's not a 5star hotel
"Overrated but still decent hotel"
The windows are poorly maintained. Room service is a disaster.

No windows in room and poor AC apart from that cracking location and nice enough room
"Hotel radisson - luxurious in excellent location,"
Great location, fantastic facilities, helpful staff - perfect stay.
"Gorgeous!"
Had a fabulous weekend away with the girls, hotel is gorgeous and we all loved it. All the staff where really helpful. Few of the girls have booked to come again with their partners they liked it so much. Bar downstairs is a bit pricey but I did expect this at a 5* city hotel. Tip ~ if you book a few rooms via this website ring the hotel and they will […] put you together, if not you end up on different floors Read more

We stay in manchester quite a lot and this as got to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in if I win the lottery this is the hotel I will be holed up in so I can decide what to do with my winnings, its so relaxing. The staff are second to none they are brilliant, rooms amazing we had a brilliant weekend and the hotel was the icing on the cake 10 out […] of 10 Read more
"Great hotel - shame about the detail"
I booked 3 rooms 2 through Hotel.com and 1 direct with Radisson - I loved the look of the place, the staff were great, the room was comfortable, clean and the location was perfect for me and then things went wrong, a minor hassle of booking in (fair enough) after an excellent night in Manchester we went to bed only to find traffic noise and the noisy […] people made coming out of bars (including the Radissons) kept us awake until past 2.00am I was surprised that the rooms weren't sound proofed against that. On checkout the minor hassle on booking in turned out to be a major one leaving and at present although I have a receipt they are still hanging onto my reservation fee. If you are going to stay here make sure you book through Hotel.com, request a room at the back of the hotel then I recommend it whole heartedly Read more

my fav hotel in manchester
"Nice enough, but far from perfect"
I stayed there for my 2nd time this Friday and things didn't go well. I'd booked a double room months ago, but was told they only had twins left, despite me making my booking months ago. The room is nice enough, don't expect nice views of the city like you get at the Hilton down the road, but nice and roomy (would be even more room if i had a double, […] not 2 twins :p). They also use far too use air freshener coming out of the lifts, it's way too strong and frankly smells awful. Read more
"Chic and convenient in the heart of the city"
First impressions of this hotel are that outwardly it retains its classic look; a beautiful brownstone building that you could easily imagine has stood the test of time far longer than many of its contemporary modern competitors. Step inside the lobby (via the doorman) and you are presented with a far more up-to-date view. Comfy sofas, modern sculptures […] and a general ambience of class and luxury ensue. Upon check in the staff were pleasant and courteous and we were up to our room within ten minutes of entering the building - just what was needed on a cold and rainy day in Manchester. Despite being slightly disappointed with the size of the room itself, this didn't take away anything from the comfort or the style. The bed was large and adorned with luxurious cushions, the bathroom consisted of a wet room, bath and separate dressing area so ideal if more than one of you wants to get ready at any one time. The usual mini bar and television services were available, as was free wi-fi..handy because neither of us was able to get a phone signal in the room! Although not having a great view of the city (we were side-on to the reception area) the room was more than adequate for our needs and we had a good night's sleep in comfort and peace and quiet. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel the next morning (quite expensive, even for a 5 star hotel!) but the fact that you are bang slap in the middle of the city means that you can eaily source something more suitable if you want to venture out. The bar and the afternoon tea facilities also looked good and there was a good atmosphere when we came back to the hotel on the Friday evening after our night out. The doormen ensured that nobody who wasn't meant to be there was allowed in and this ensured that there was no trouble from the usual suspects. On the whole, we would stay there again and you do get what you pay for. For a well-appointed, good quality hotel in a great location, you can't go wrong with the Radisson Edwardia Read more

"radisson edwardian -tired hotel"
the hotel staff on reception were wearing very tired uniforms that looked washed to death. The room when we got in was also very tired the room was small and not double as ordered but twin room-when we complained they did not offer to give us a better room or double but did not appear bothered. I have stayed in many five star hotels and i feel this […] was no better than 3 star hotels. there were no slippers or toiletries provided it had no luxury feel to it at all. We checked out and went to the Rocco Forte and it was far superior the staff were wonderful Read more

"Our Birthday Night Out."
Wonderful hotel, friendly staff and great car parking service well worth the money. Thank you
"Radisson Edwardian Manchester"
Close to centre of Manchester; very pleasant hotel. Unfortunately there was a political party conference nearby which meant a large part of surrounding area was cordoned off, with large police presence. Very comfortable room Good breakfast in the morning
"girls night out"
Stayed for one night to celebrate friends birthday. Lovely hotel (have stayed once before).Disappointed that we did't have any biscuits on the tea tray and not a bottle of water in the room or even the option of taking one from the mini bar as it was locked. This is a 5 star hotel after all.
"Radisson Edwardian Manchester"

I try to use the Raddison every time I am in Manchester on business. it is a superb hotel wiht efficient, obliging and friendly staff and the hotel is always in very good condition. "Radisson in Manchester - great hotel, great locati"
Beautiful modern and comfortable hotel in central Manchester. Excellent spa, 2 lovely restaurants and very comfortable rooms. I would stay there again.
"Radisson Edwardian, Manchester"
Excellent Hotel, but we had to pay extra for Breakfast when we thought we had booked a Wedding Package. But the price of the drinks appeared to rocket in the wee sma' hours!
"Radisson Edwardian Hotel"
Great central location, nice warm, well equipped, clean rooms. The staff could not have been more helpfull if they tried - wonderful, professional staff. They didn't even roll their eyes when I arrived back at 3 in the morning with stillettos in hand! ;)

The room was well appointed and very comfortable but unfortunately the minifridge had not been checked since the middle of July because I found a packet of M&S cooked chicken pieces there with a use by date of 18.07.11. The housekeeper came an removed these very quickly. The hotel foyer and the corridor from the lift to our room had a strange smell […] reminiscent of cleaning fluid but it could have been the new carpet. Also, when I opened a wardrobe door the door to the safe sprang open and hit me on the forehead. Perhaps the safe doors should be kept closed. The main hotel restaurant was excellent and we had a fabulous meal there. Read more
First class hotel, marred only by there being riots outside at the time, but the hotel handled the situation very well
"Radisson Manchester"
Excellant hotel, fabulous rooms, service excellant! would definately stay again and would highly recommend!
Fantastic location and the staff went out of there way to please
"Manchester City Centre Hotel with Pool and Spa"
Within ten to fifteen minutes walk of anything in the city centre, this is an extremely comfortable hotel with very high quality staff in all functions. The Opus 1 restaurant is very good if you want in-house dining but there are a large number of good restaurants nearby as well. A couple of minor niggles: - the mini bar automatically records even […] the movement of an item as a purchase, so shifting a can of coke to store some fresh milk went on my bill as a purchase. - every single drink and tip in the hotel bar appeared to be itemised separately rather than on a tab by tab basis - one consequence of which is that I missed the random mini bar figures on the morning of my checkout. Overall I would thoroughly recommend the hotel. I did not have a car with me and if you do, then local parking is expensive but there may be some discount offered by the Radisson but I don't know for sure. Read more
"Doesn't dissapoint - but did a bit this time"
I've stayed in the Radission Edwardian a few times now and it's always great, lovely big clean rooms, comfy beds, great service and breakfasts and spa. It is a little more pricey than other hotels in Manchester but I booked as I thought it would be worth the money, however despite booking well in advance and checking in early the room didn't have a […] great view, was a bit smaller than normal and lacked something special (e.g. shampoo on dispensers rather than minis). Don't get me wrong, it's still a great hotel but they need to add some more of the little extras to make it worth the premium I think. Read more
