The room was very cold. it was close to freezing outside but there was no heating in the room. i had to request extra blankets and a room heater at midnight because i couldn't sleep from the cold. The night staff was rude to me on the phone when i complained about the cold. During breakfast in the morning i met other guest who also complained about […] the cold. i will never go back there! "Great place to stay for a game at Fenway"
It's a bed and a bathroom. Nothing more, nothign less. The one negative is there is no way to manage the temperature in your room. The upside is, it is wicked close to Fenway (10 min walk at the most) and wicked close to the Prudential Center. This place is about location and a bed and shower. If you plan on spending any time relaxing in your room or […] using hotel type amenities then this isnt your joint. If you plan on taking in the brilliant city of Boston and being out and about and seeing and doing things, this is your jam! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was great at the hotel. There was not a remote for the TV, my only complaint. I would use this hotel again in a heartbeat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel - lovely service - super value"
Charming older house (actually stayed at sister house - Adams). Keith was particularly helpful, as I needed a slightly later checkout due to having taken a small fall and needed to clean up. He was very gracious. Room was comfy; easy light breakfast available, etc. SUPER LOCATION!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, small but affordable"
Small but clean room...parking nearby. Nothing fancy, but for a night or two works fine for me. Welcomed at the desk, helpful and courteous staff. Wifi included. Near Berklee, Symphony Hall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
great neighborhood, nice clean room. No parking, awkward to get in and out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was exactly what we wanted...an inexpensive place to crash for the night in a great location. Not planning on spending time in hotel except to sleep so didn't need to pay luxury price. Coffee in morning was good and bed was comfy. No complaints.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Although the room was small, I was content with it when I checked in. It all went down hill from there. After going out to dinner Friday night I arrived back to no working lights in my room above the bed, as well as it being around 85-90 degrees. I called the operator after midnight (which they do not condone for any reason at the OGH) who asks if my […] bathroom light works and if the air conditioning vent was open. They both were as I told him, only for him to say theres "nothing he can do" and rudely hang up on me. I figured the light would be fixed while I was out all day Saturday. Come back to the hotel around 930-10pm to still having no light. Thankfully the outside temperature dropped so the room was now a tolerable temperature. Sunday morning when I checked out there was still no working light. The icing on the cake was when the guy at the front desk did not even ask how our stay was. I gave this place 1 star in areas I wish i could have left none. Apparently thats not an option. Service was absolutely horrible, I do not recommend staying here. There were other empty rooms they could've moved me into, but chose not to. There is absolutely no reason for this type of service. If i wanted that kind of service I would have saved hundreds of dollars and stayed at the nearby Howard Johnson. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bed and shower"
I needed a place to sleep and take a shower since I would otherwise be busy all day, and the OGH suited the situation nicely. I was fortunate to get a parking spot, so it turned out to be a great place to stay. The walk to the Boston Common is about 20 minutes so I had no need for public transportation. Well suited for anyone who doesn't need to spend […] time in a hotel room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient for walking or catching the T"
We walked everywhere & then when we got blisters we were able to conveniently catch the T. It was close to where we needed to be & the price was great for Boston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little inn, but missing some basic amenities"
My only complaints are that there weren't coffee makers in the bedrooms and that you couldn't control the temperature from your room. The place is cute, decently decorated and the staff was very nice. It is in a great location with less than a five minute walk to the Hynes T stop. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within 2-3 minutes […] walking distance and very close to Newbury street. It was the cheapest hotel I found for the weekend I needed to stay there and I'm glad I didn't spend more on a luxury place with amenities that I wouldn't use. The staff was really helpful. They printed directions for me that I emailed to them, and when I lost my cell phone the night clerk let me use hers to call it. All in all, I would highly recommend. "Will be back"
Booked a room for two nights to drop my kid off at college. Everyone was pleasant. Breakfast was a nice perk and the location was extremely convenient for us. Really close to the Northeastern campus and a 10 min walk to Copley Square. A couple of minutes from the T station as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I did not think shared bathrooms would work for someone who is 68, but the Oasis was truly that and there were enough clean available bathrooms at all times to make this an efficient and not too costly alternative in a great neighborhood of Boston, near a Whole Foods and the MFA.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Definitely should stay here!"
Very courteous staff, Keith and Victor...most helpful.. Near T. clean, great bed, pillows,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable hotel in excellent location"
Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was small, but comfortable. Shared bathroom was spacious. There was an additional shared toilet in a separate room. Lobby was warm and inviting. Short walk from two different subway stations. Near several restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies and Whole Foods.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Convient Location and Great Price"
Oasis Guest House was just what we were looking for in terms of price and location! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to a room with a private bath instead of a shared bath which was nice. Location was perfect- located very close to the T and Newbury street. Free breakfast was lovely as well. Room was clean […] but nothing fancy and nothing "romantic". We would go back again-one of the best deals in Boston. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Exactly what I wanted for a cheap stay in Boston"
Clean, cozy (a little small), but exactly what I would expect from a homey Bed and Breakfast with great cleanliness and breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
Oasis is just that; a quiet little corner in the middle of Back Bay. Close to Symphony Hall, Berklee and Newbury St, and the T is about one minute from the door, to get anywhere in Boston. The hosts are helpful and friendly. All good when you need a reasonably priced place that's close to things.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Charming Small Gem Squeezed into Back Bay Boston"
Staying at the Oasis Guest House was perfect for us: location is 2 small blocks from Mass Ave and Boylston and The Berklee School of Music. The bed was very comfortable, the room immaculate and quiet and our hosts, Victor and Keith, most obliging. They squeeze many small bedrooms (30 or so), most with baths, into their two brownstones (Adams B&B, too), […] making the most of the space available and provide all necessities and advice needed, including a nice Continental Breakfast. They only have parking for 9 cars (first come, first serve) -- and those are a tight fit, but the location is very convenient to public transportation and Fenway Park, so leave the car and plan to use the subway or bus. They have been running this B&B for 30 years, and their experience shows! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice B&B in ideal location"

"So-so B&B in a great location"
Good location but that's about it. Staff was friendly but not very helpful. Breakfast consists of bagels, croissants, different breakfast breads and cakes, peanut butter, selection of jams, nutella, coffee, teas, o.j. (which tasted bad), and cold cereal. One thing that was unacceptable was when I opened the door in the morning, I almost tripped over […] a big black garbage bag. The hallway is very narrow and I had to step over over it to walk down the hall. When I came back to my room, the entire hallway was filled with 3 big garbage bags as well as cleaning supplies. The manager on duty told me that this has been a problem for the 21 years he's been working there and that he cannot get the cleaning staff to understand that it is not acceptable to put those items in the hallway while they are cleaning the rooms. I find that both humorous and ridiculous! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"2 min to Coffee & 7 min to Train"
My stay was very pleasant and price competitive to all other area hotels in Boston in the summer. I found transport very close, neighborhood safe and close coffee shops and restaurants. "Put your camel to bed..."
We needed a reasonable, in-town accommodation before heading out on a cruise from Boston. We have traveled a bit and don't mind sharing a hall bath if need be, so we took a chance. "friendly staff, clean but can't control room temp"
Location close to public transport, nearby Starbucks, CVS, liquor store. Room had no table but did have comfortable armchair. Breakfast was pastries, fruit, Nutella, bagels. "Great Place to stay if visiting Fenway"
This was the perfect place to stay for my trip to Fenway Park. It was easy to get to. I took a bus to Boston south station, then the Red and green subways. The Oasis guest house is a three minute walk from the subway. I'm not sure how easy it would be to find parking if I drove here, but that would be something you would have to ask the people of Oasis […] guest house. The real benefit of this hotel is its location to fenway. It was only a 10 minute walk to the ballpark. The area is charming and the staff was quite friendly. The room was small, but had everything I needed. Some of the rooms do not have a bathroom and you have to share a bathroom but I was upgraded for free to a room with a bathroom. There was free wifi as well. I would recommend this to anyone who is in town to see a red sox game. I really enjoyed my stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Good location, helpful staff, very clean bathrooms, nice and quiet. A tiny room that had what we needed. If you are just planning on sleeping, showering and going .. this is it. "More and Less"
I had mixed feelings. The location was good. The price was right and the staff was helpful. But there was a light that shined in my eyes every night from the street and the staff said they couldn't help me with that, the cold airconditioning was on all the time and I needed a space heater to stay comfortable I felt that their lost key policy, costing […] $100, was unfair. "short walk to fenway"
First of all, the people we met in Boston were terrific, kind and helpful. Love the MBTA, the close proximity of the Hynes station to the Guest House and the ease of walking to and from the various T stops to all parts of the city. The Oasis Guest house was clean, and we appreciated the continental breakfast. The only negative thing we could say about […] our stay was the noisy door closing by other occupants which took place at night. In spite of that, we still slept well on a comfortable bed. "good for staying near Fenway"
otherwise, just ok. the whole place was a little dingy. service was friendly when we arrived, but disappeared from the front desk for a half hour mid day. also, our bed was not a queen as advertised. still, relatively inexpensive and close to Fenway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Its a "whatever place""
This is an economy hotel so expectations should be appropriate. Some of the hotel serves as a hostile. It's small, dirty, old, muggy. Like visiting your 80 year old grandmother. Excellent location though.Genuine Expedia guest review

Motel 6 I'd a luxury hotel compared to this place. Never ever did I stsy in a hotel a little b bit bigger than the bed with no private bath. ONLY good points are the location and satisfactory clesnlinessGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not far from Hynes at all"

"nice but not quite worth it"
My partner and I were looking for a no-nonsense place to get a quiet night's sleep in the city before meeting up with friends the next day, and we took a chance on Oasis. Although the location is fantastic, and the place was well-kept, it still is much more of an excellent hostel than a hotel by any stretch, while it is priced much more like the latter. […] Our room was quite small for a queen, and there was no escaping the sounds of the other patrons in their rooms and in the hallways. We regretted not paying the little bit more it would have cost to get a queen room at the Sheraton, for the peace and privacy it would have offered. Overall, quite good for what it is, but overpriced. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
