The hotel was very shabby - holes in the walls, in the comforter, dirty floor - mildewy smell. The manager/front desk person was very rude - cursed us out. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was inexpensive in comparison to other hotels in the area. Nothing fancy here. Good if you are planning to stay a night or two to gamble at the nearby casino, or if its on your route to another destination. One plus is that pets are allowed. The room was clean, and the staff were courteous and friendly.

Very satisfied. We have stayed there before and would stay there again. Staff was very helpful when we told them the heater was not working. Brought us a space heater right away and that warmed up the room pretty good.

Room was nasty! Parking lot has holes so deep you could lose you vehicle in. Stayed 2 nights and did not get any maid service or fresh towels. Holes in walls and bed was like sleeping on the floor. Stay somewhere else if you can.

Ice machines were in a state of disrepair, the room was ok as far as cleaniness but the bed was uncomfortable. the front desk called in the a.m. to remind everyone of check out time before it was time to check out and practically kicked you out of your room. I booked the room the same day of our arrival date. The lady told me I would not be able to cancel. Had this not been so I would NOT have stayed there. The furniture had tears and dried spills on them. The soap smelt horrible, i would not even take a shower. The bed was hard as a rock. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The older lady at the check-in counter was very courteous and friendly. The hotel is close enough to Fausto's restaurant which has excellent cooked to order fresh food. The hotel staff overall was very helpful with towels and service. It is not the newest hotel in Kinder, La., but overall our stay was pleasant. […] The only drawback was that there was no ironing board or iron in the room. It was horrible. We went to evacuate from the storm. Having other things on our mind, the service was not comforting. We had to throw away our own garbage and get our own towels. This should be a two star hotel. Then, as we were checking out, the front desk said we had to pay an extra $10 because it was 12:01pm.

the room we stayed in had broken locks .... and we told the housekeeper we didnt need anything and she still came into the room while we were sleepin but other than that for what we needed the room for it was perfect ... we only used it to sleep and bath.

Horrible service! Rooms were hot and took forever to get comfortable. Had to leave and go buy a fan. Friends next door found hair in their bed. The "free" breakfast was a box of honey buns and a gallon of " orange drink " I would advise to spend your money somewhere else!!!

We will never stay at this hotel again. The hotel service (front Desk) was awful, the condition of the hotel and room was unvlivable. The toilet in the room is if you tried to sit on it would just fall over. We cancelled the reservation for the second night and stayed elseware. This hotel should be rated a minus 4..

The only 3 things that were wrong is there was no microwave and fridge in the room like I was told when I booked, and per the picture on line. my room was a king size non smoking. Also there was no smoke detector, and the tub had a dirty ring around it. It is an older hotel so there is considerable wear and tear, but the room rate was a good value. The room itself and the bathroom were very clean. Shower water was hot and plentiful - YEAH! Staff was very nice. The property is located near railroad crossing so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Bad experience, I was there for a 2 night stay and requested non-smoking room. I was advised the hotel room stay came with continental breakfast. At time of check in I inquired about the continental breakfast and was advised they only provide coffee. When arrived at the room, opened the drawer by the bed and it was full of cigarette ashes. They gave […] me keys for a new room and the keys did not work, I went back got a second set of keys made, still did not work. They switched me to a 3rd room made a set of keys and what a surprise keys did NOT work. The office clerk made yet another set of keys and FINALLY the keys worked. This room was clean. Stayed the night. Next day went to do what I needed to do, got back to hotel around 4:00 PM more or less and the door to my room was wide open and all the sheets of the beds were on the floor. The cleaning ladies had not yet finished cleaning my room. I went to front office to ask why taking so long, was advised they were short handed, only had 2 cleaning ladies working that day. The clerk located one of the cleaning ladies and had them clean my room right away. I waited for about 20 minutes on my car for them to finish. When they finally finished cleaning the room, they closed the door and left. I tried to go into my room and again what a surprise the key did NOT work. I went to front office, was issued another set of keys and as luck would have it the keys did work. As you can imagine that was the worst experience ever I have had staying at a hotel. Read more
