When I arrived at the hotel. The night manager said her did have my room availabe. Then he said for an additional monies her could offer me a room. It was very late; and I could not traver any futher. I was tried. So I paid the additional monies. I know he did his because I was Africian American. I will never stay at another Howard Johnson hotel.

Wonderful staff. Wonderful rooms. Comfy beds. Will stay next time we are in St. George!

Everything was great until we wanted to swim in the pool. It was FREEZING cold.

The hotel was well maintained. Everything was done in a timely manner.

Good room and amenities; walking distance to restaurants; shuttle pickup point for Las Vegas Airport, reasonable rates and breakfast. Specific request regarding access for separately-arriving companion efficiently granted.

Our stay at the Howard Johnsons hotel in St. George, Utah was a simple one night stay to save us from having to drive at night. We required no special services, however, the breakfast was available and tasty, and the room was very clean. Should we ever have a need to stay overnight in St. George again, we would return to the Howard Johnsons.

Nice Southwestern exterior decor. Pleasant service, continental breakfast open until 10AM, pool/patio, convenient location with free parking. This is a motel, so doors are exterior. This led to some minor problems: carpet, while vacuumed clean, turned feet and socks dark, presumably from dirt easily tracked in. Also, housekeeper left dirty shoe prints […] on my bathroom/shower floor one afternoon. Room was clean upon arrival, but daily housekeeping was a bit sloppy. A little more attention to detail during daily refreshings would have improved my "cleanliness" rating. That said, the price was right and the property seemed basically well-run and maintained. Our room had many negatives, the worst being cleanliness. The carpet was dirty and the easy chair was so filthy that we covered it with towels just to sit on it. The iron provided had black stains on it and had to ask for a replacement. Requested extra pillow and wer'nt friendly about it. The continental breakfast was the worst I've seen. All the food looked like it had been there for a while. Not enough tables or chairs. Only 3 two person tables. Will never stay here again. Bad rep for Howard Johnsons.

The room was large, clean and quiet. We even had a continental breakfast provided. Just had a mix up with a family member checking out of the wrong room number. They wanted to charge us another night because of the mix up that they never verified. It was not even my mistake, but my sister's who left a day earlier. I BROUGHT MY DOG AND I LIKED THAT THERE WAS EMPTY FIELDS RIGHT THERE AND THE DOG PARK WAS IN WALKING DISTANCE. EVERYONE WAS NICE ROOM WAS CLEAN. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS BOUT THIS HOTEL AND WOULD TELL PEOPLE BOUT IT AND STAY AGAIN

Rooms were dirty and smelled badly. The pool was nice. The breakfast was meager.

I was extremely pleased with the front desk help. The accomodations were very satisfactory. We will stay at Howard Johnson's next time we are in St. George while visiting from Minnesota. Thank you for the great service front desk!

The one thing that really helped in this motel was there was always enough towels and washrags every day. The breakfast was ok but could have a little more variety.

We stayed for 3 nights. The person working when I first checked in was not very friendly, however, the staff the for the rest of my stay was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room itself was nice and clean. There was a chair in the room that did look like someone may have died in it as one half had turned a weird brown color, but overall a nice room […] for the price. Wifi worked for about 15 minutes and then failed

Trying to find Dog friendly hotels that are comfortable for humans is a challenge for sure. Unfortunately this HoJo is not very 'Dog Friendly' no dog potty area, the room was so cramped it was hard to find room for our Blue Heeler's crate. To top it off the toilet didn't flush and the bath tub didn't drain. The location to I-15 isn't very convenient […] and the hotel is not very close to food and shopping. For the money I got what I expected. Might be a little small for 4 kids with you.

The hotel in St. George Utah was basically fine. My only problem was that I wasn't expecting to pay $10 more per night to have my small dog in the room, also, there wasn't much grass for my dog to go potty on nor would they allow my dog to sit in the pool area, even on her leash. Not all that "pet friendly" like they advertised.

Great accommodations and staff. They were friendly, professional and efficient. Changed our room at our request for a brighter room. Very nice deluxe continental breakfast. We will be returning in not too many months.

I didn't know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. For the money, this was an excellent choice.

we arrived in early afternoon and were warmly greeted. We requested a first floor room and they happily accommodated us. Upon entering the room we we noticed that it more like a suite than a room. Near the door was a seating area with a sofa bed and coffee table and and end table. There was a large screen TV in a hutch in this area. Then there was the […] kitchen area. In a little basket there was coffee and decaff coffee, plus hot chocolate and tea. there was also a Pop-tart. There was a sink, lots of cabinet space, a microwave oven and a fair sized kitchen table with chairs. The Bed was a king size and very comfortable. There was also a smaller TV in the bedroom section. The bathroom sink had a good sized counter to accommodate the normal toiletries. The shower was nice. It had an adjustable shower head so you can get your shower the way you like it. Plenty of hot water, and one of those bowed out shower rods to give you more space. If you have a dog, there is a large empty lot next to the hotel that is sort of a de-facto dog park where most of the guest walked their dogs. All in all it was a very pleasant visit. Not a bad hotel for the price. Second time I have stayed here. Carpets still have not been cleaned but breakfast if better then 1 st time I stayed. A/C unit made alot of noise in the middle of the night and told the front desk clerk and he made note of it but did not appologize. very impressed with the room for the money

I checked in with a child and there was a rubber ducky in the tub. It could have used a dvd player. Everything else was fine.

The room smelled, the carpet was wet in areas, things were unplugged, and the front desk was frequently unattended. Other rooms may have been fine, but can't vouch for them. Had the condition of the room been better, I would probably be willing to stay again.

The hotel itself is fairly descent, although we had booked a room with 2 queen beds, as we had 5 people (one small child) and needed every bit of bed space. Their "Queen" size beds are more the size of double beds. They insisted they were queen, but I have queen beds at home and I guarantee they are bigger than what they have to offer for "Queen size […] beds. So if you need the bed space, I wouln't recommend it. The complimentary breakfast was pretty pathetic as well. Not much to offer. Very small scale. Read more

It was very easy to find and worth every min.

In the day of high (over-) priced hotels, this was a pleasant surprise - low price and exactly what I wanted - clean room, free internet, free breakfast, comfortable beds, very nice staff and more.

I stayed here this time do to the fact that I was traveling with dogs. Hotels.com did not mention extra fee. Was expected but would have been nice to have been mentioned. The room was nice, but the carpets were fithy. The pool had way to much chlorine. The breakfast was bare minimum. Have to go to St George quite a bit and there are better hotels in […] the area for the money. Would stay there again, but would not be first choice. Read more

Nice hotel, clean, spacious rooms but closer to the town of Dixie than St George. It is close to a residential neighbourhood which was pleasant walking through on our way up to the shops in St George. We used this as a base to explore Zion NP and it was very close to the freeway which made the journey straightforward.
