Howard Johnson Inn And Suites Saint George HWY I-15 Exit 6 - St. George

We stopped for one night on our way to Salt Lake. The hotel was very clean and nice. My husband stayed here on the last trip up so we stopped here on this trip as well. We walked across the street to the claim jumper for dinner.( I wouldn't recommend the Claim Jumper.)

Stayed here a few times now, this time for 4 days (the most we have stayed). the room is great, larger than most rooms at that fare, also had 2 tvs which gave the kids their own, which was nice. We liked the breakfast, although after a few days, some variety would be nice. The pool was very clean as was the hot tub, and generally very clean hotel. room […] cleaned daily and vacuumed, people very hardworking, and nice. We expected far more from the Howard Johnson's name. We did enjoy the heated outdoor pool, but the other accomodations were minimal. There were virtually no electrical outlets in the room. Very unfriendly staff. The pool was the size of 2 bathtubs, 4 lounge chairs with no room to move. Dirty dirty everything. It was over priced and dirty. No pride in the establishment and obviously no standards from the Howard Johnson Chain. Very very sad.

I paid for a cheap hotel and I got a cheap hotel. It works for our purpose of just a pit stop. It was clean, safe, and hotel service was always there when needed. The breakfast even had warm sausage and biscuits. The beds could use some updating and the doorknob to our bathroom kept falling off. Overall it was a good stay and we would return.

Our biggest problem with HJ was not the service. They bent over backwards to help us during our stay. Actually, it was the price of the rooms. They were charging as if we were staying at the Hilton, but the rooms were more the quality of a Motel 6. We started out with a nicer room, but the WiFi didn't 'reach' that room, so their answer was to move us […] closer to the router (I needed to do some work). This room, though it DID have access to the internet, was considerably smaller, and less kept up. It was as clean as they could make it, but the drain in the tub didn't work well, so taking a shower was less than convenient. It is what it is. Nothing to brag about, just a typical hotel with dated rooms. The AC had a mind of it's own; set it at 65 and it never came on. Lowered it to the lowest setting of 60 and it came on every 20-30 minutes while I laid in bed sweating.

Older hotel, but ok to stay in. Mattress was not up to par and small pillows - had to use 2 to make 1 pillow. But nice large room with 2 TV's. Bathroom was quite small for the size of the rest of the suite. Stated WIFI but 2 different attendants gave me two different server names but neither one worked.

Good value for the price--comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast wasn't anything special but was adequate. My room was quite large but the heater was not very sufficient to heat the entire room quickly--I imagine in summer, there would be issues with the air conditioner.

Good quiet location, not as busy as the downtown area, yet near some decent restaurants as well as I-15. Had issues with the toilet stopping up for no obvious reasons, but was quickly supplied a plunger to deal with the problem.

Hotel staff was rude and the rooms were brutal. Fridge did not cool. Pool was ice cold. Sticky stuff on the stairs. The door mats looked like they were from the early 1900's. Duct tape on the heater (room 204). We would have left and cut our losses--but no other rooms in St. George for that night.

After checking in, we went to our assigned room to find other people's clothes and suitcase strewn all over. We will not be staying at this hotel again. I don't feel safe knowing they give out keys to occupied rooms! Very disappointed.
