I only stayed here one night, but this would be a great place to bring a family, and stay for several days. The 2-bedroom condo was clean and comfortable, loved the gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and the kitchen was handy. Access to the units is a little inconvenient -- lots of steps to go up and down, especially if you're on the back side. But the location is great, just outside Banff, and just a 3 minute drive to Canmore.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting space in addition to the bed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, etc. Only complaints: 1) Early wake up call not received as requested for first morning (good thing I was up already) 2) Very noisy kids running in the hallway the first night 3) Radio came on early on second morning (I did not set it) I would stay here again.

Our stay was very pleasant an comfortable, and all of the staff were amazing. We had the best time in the bar with our sever who we made cry as she was laughing soo hard!! The menue was exquisite and our server, Julia, treated us like royalty! Our favourite dessert was some frozen cheese cake balls, twice!!! "To die for" is all I can say about that. I would highly recommend staying there as you are only minutes from Banff.

Location.
This Banff hotel is high on Tunnel Mountain, in Banff national park, overlooking the Rocky Mountains. Banff Centre is 1.9 kilometers away, and Mount Norquay Ski Resort and Upper Hot Springs are within 4.3 kilometers.
Resort Features.
Hidden Ridge Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, 2 large spa tubs with views of downtown Banff along with a sauna. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. "Wonderful Resort Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada"
Our family had a memorable stay at your lovely resort hotel in Banff in late September. Upon checking, we upgraded our suite and we never regretted the extra price we paid for it. The suite amenities were just perfect. Front desk staff was extremely courteous and friendly, so eager to help and make the guests' stay very comfortable. The free shuttle […] service to Banff offered over extended hours of the day is very convenient. We enjoyed our hot tub soak after a long day out to relax in spectacular surroundings. Great stay. We were showing our beautiful country to relatives from Croatia. Jetted hot tubs were terrific after a day of touring Banff. Staff were very accomodating. Quiet at night. Will come again. Thanks.
"Parking - what Parking ?"
This is a great place unless you bring a car and don't enjoy parking in a space 8 feet wide! I understand why Manhattan parking places are that narrow but why in Banff, Alberta? It is a shame that guests are irritated the moment they "try" to unpack their car. The owner apparently decided that it was more important to waste about 30 parking spaces by […] planting trees and flowers. The flowers are nice but I'll bet most guests would rather be able to open their car door once they get into their parking space. This problem can be fixed and they should do it immediately. "Good location, quite and great view"
We stayed in early June. Nice location and great view. Not cheap but not the most expensive either. Nice, comfortable stay. Only problem is that they need to update their cable or satellite service. Poor TV reception was annoying for the price we paid.

Very nice, clean, friendly staff. Dog friendly which is nice for those with pets (specific rooms set aside for those with pets so make sure you call and let them know). Well equipped kitchenette, plenty of firewood for fireplace. Away from main street Banff so it is peaceful but only a 2 minute drive to main street or you can even walk.

I travel every year to ski resort towns for winter vacations. This was my first visit to Banff. I found the accessability of condo's to rent very limited in comparison with Colorado or Utah. After renting this condo it did not compare favorably with those in other locations. It was very small and uncomfortable. It had poor furnishings and parking was […] very limited and tight. For the price it was not a good deal when compared to Colorado or Utah. However the staff was responsive and attentive. My request to pay to upgrade to a more spacious was not possible however. "Away from the busy but not too far."
The hidden ridge resort was a good experience for us. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room clean, the facilities good. The only thing I would caution is that we had a family above us with small children running around. As kid's tend to be "Fred Flinstone" when running around the house you could hear quite a bit of noise downstairs as a result. […] So, if you're given a choice, take the $25 upgrade so you're not under a family. I'm sure the experience would have been bad had there been partiers above us all night. Read more

Relaxing and comfortable suite. Negatives: The kitchen inventory needs to be checked on occassion; our unit had several items missing (cutting board, pot holders, etc). Our room (a 1 bedroom condo) was spacious, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. Other reviewers commented that they felt there wasn't enough cooking equipment available, but we disagreed. We found salt and pepper shakers, pots and pans, cookie sheets, dishtowels, soap and sponges, dishes, cups, mugs, and wine glasses, an electric kettle, a […] toaster, a coffee maker, a set of knives, silverware, a cutting board, strainer, measuring spoons and measuring cups, can opener, bottle opener, microwave, dishwasher, stove, large fridge, and other things that I'm forgetting to mention. It was everything we needed and then some! We bought our food in town and made full use of the kitchen. The sheets were luxuriously soft and the bed was firm but had a thick down pad on top. Lots of pillows to choose from so you can sleep or watch TV in bed. The condo came with 2 large flat-screen TVs and a DVD player in the living room. It was nice to sip hot chocolate on the sofa in the living room with the fire going and a good movie on TV. The staff was helpful and friendly and we never heard any noise from our neighbors. "HORRENDOUS!!!!!"
THIS WAS OUR SECOND YEAR AT THIS HOOTEL AND WILL NOT BE RETURNING...MY 2 GRANDDAUGHTERS 12 AND 10 WERE USING THE HOT TUBS AND WHEN THEY GOT OUT THERE WERE NO TOWELS...THE DESK HAD THEM GO TO THE BASEMENT ALONE AND LOOK FOR TOWELS...UNACCEPTABLE!!!!...THERE WERE VERY LOUD PARTIES AND THEY ALLOWED ONE UNIT TO HAVE 7 CARS SO PARKING WAS A NIGHTMARE...THE […] STAFF NEEDS TO BE TRAINED TO HANDLE THESE SITUATIONS BETTER..WE CALLED SECURITY DUE TO THE LOUD SCREAMING AND FIGHTING GOING ON AND WHEN THEY CAME THEY COULDNT FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS OR WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT...WE SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE...THERE ARE TOO MANY PLACES JUST AS NICE IN BANFF SO WE WILL NOT COME BACK!!! "Wonderful Location"
We stayed for five nights. We hiked every day,relaxed in the hot tub, then cooked in our kitchen. We especially enjoyed the beautiful mountain view from our patio in the late evening. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Nice accommodations. There is an upstairs issue, especially if they have KIDS!!! You are suddenly transported into their playroom! It wasn't a big deal to us, but to others, they may squirm with the noise of children playing above. Perhaps you can request different accommodations from those expecting children? The other negative is the opening of […] the hot tubs: 10:00 am? it's too late. They should be open at like, 7:00 am. I would bet that only adults are interested in these early hours. The bathrooms in the lodge (for the pools) are extremely nice, but they are not marked so I don't know that very many people find their way to them. Signage is important! We got a free upgrade from 3 BR premier condo to a 4 BR one. We werre 7 of us and everyone loved this resort and the room. The rooms were spacious and very very clean. "Excellent location"
Hotel is off the beaten path but close enough to walk downtown to shop (or catch the free shuttle if you don't want to walk.) Hot pools are great after a day of hiking to sit with a drink & watch the sunset over the mountains. Hotel staff very friendly. We would stay here again!

We loved the hot pools. What a great way to start and end our day. Having a kitchen was nice too and the staff were wonderful. We loved all the nice touches - complimentary firewood, free bus passes, only $.10 a minute calls to the US. The grounds are beautiful. We would go back in a second. "Perfect Place for Group"
I just came back from a road trip in the Canadian Rockies during the 4th of July weekend. We spend two nights at Hidden Ridge Resort. Seven of us stayed in a Deluxe Bedroom Condo with 3 Queens and 1 sofa bed (with 3 brand new LCD TVs). Even though the condo only has 1.5 bathroom, it worked out for us. We love the kitchen and living area. It's perfect […] for those traveling in a big group. We cooked breakfast in the morning, and had wine and cheese at night when looking at all the awesome pictures we took during the day. The staff are very friendly and international. We got good recommendations about Banff and Lake Louise. The construction is almost done. I'll come back here again in winter for my snowboarding trip. Read more

Far enough from town to feel an escape, but close enough to satisfy all needs. Extremely relaxing with no shortage of things to do. Our family had an excellent stay.
"Great stay"
Everything was very good and we had a great time skiing and touring and shopping around town. The only knock I have (and it's minor) was that the in room coffee was very weak. However the coffee in the reception area was great. Thanks to everyone there for a great stay.

"Hidden Ridge Resort, Banff"
Our Hidden Ridge experience started out to be fine. The room was reasonably spacious, and there was an outdoor patio, visited regularly by deer. There were also nice hiking trails at the back of the hotel. We were on the lower floor, and our experience changed as soon as the guests upstairs arrived. They had small children, so there was lots of running […] and jumping, and the adults weren't much better. The place is not soundproof in the least. The hotel management were not helpful in regard to the noise problem, and the place was not very heavily booked. We needed to wear earplugs, and not only in bed at night. If you want a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is NOT the place! We won't stay there again - there are lots of other possibilities in Banff. Read more

"Overall great place"
Nice lodge, comfortable. A bit out of town but they have a good bus service. Housekeeping was understaffed as they skipped one day on us! They came and change towels and refill the coffee supply that day. Great price-value.
"Beautiful Resort - Noise issues"
We enjoyed our one night stay here, it's a wonderful cluster of cottage-like rooms and suites with high quality hotel services, good kitchens and real fireplaces. Staff were great. However, we were on the ground floor of a unit where someone else was above us and the place was not built with an eye to any sound proofing whatsoever. I am not a light […] sleeper and I was awakened every hour of the night, yes, including 3, 4 and 5 AM by thumping and bumping and smashing and klumping from the suite above us. (As well, the sofa bed was very uncomfortable, well below the low standards of the average sofa bed) I could hear laughter, and every use of plumbing from above throughout the night as well. So, if you have a choice be sure to request a room that is ABOVE the poor suckers underneath you. I was very very very tired the next morning, but I enjoyed the fireplace and the kitchen. Read more

First time staying here and I must say we had a great time. Easy access to downtown with complimentary bus passes. Great views of the mountains from our suite. Loved having a kitchenette, which we put into good use. Wood burning fireplace was a plus because it kept us warm and cozy. Overall our stay was great and would love to come back.

This resort was definitely a mixed bag, by that I mean they went over the top on some things and then other things were average. The room was not cleaned every day, we repeatedly mentioned we had two small dogs with us and they apparently had no idea and we had a complaint about our dogs whimpering all day while we were skiing. This all made perfect […] sense to us when we realized how paper thin the walls were. At 3:00 in the morning we were awaked by two people in the condo next door having a nighttime rendezvous that sounded like they were in our room it was that bad! So bad that the lady below us obviously heard too and screamed "shut up " so that was not a great experience and the complaint about our dogs made us feel like we had done something wrong and we did everything we could to be upfront about our dogs! The things that were really nice touches were the fact that once they knew we had dogs they brought over two dog beds and toys and on X-mas eve they hung cute stockings on everyone's door also the hot tub is amazing! "Beautiful Scenery, Comfortable Getaway"
We stayed in a 2 bedroom loft for an evening away in Banff and were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the clean loft boasted incredible mountain views from all windows.

We've stayed here a few times because we love it so much. The rooms are excellent, the woodburning fireplace is great to have, but the real treat is the hot tub overlooking the valley! The staff are always really helpful and friendly too. Will definitely keep coming back!

Staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. Location is a bit out of town but most guests had cars. The young people enjoyed the out pool (s). Would recommend the unit with loft which sleeps 6 in 3 queen beds plus there is a hideabed.
