This is an excellent choice for anyone looking to see the downtown Boston area while keeping close proximity to the airport, which is only two T stops away (and there's a T entrance literally right in front of the hotel entrance). It's also steps from the Aquarium, which unfortunately was under renovation when we visited, but it's still a nice perk. […] Downtown Boston is beautiful and you'll be able to see it all in one day, using Harborside Inn as your launching point. Also the beds are comfortable - this was the first hotel bed in a long time that didn't cause me any back pain. The only downsides are that the rooms are small and the bathrooms tiny, and there is no room service or restaurant currently operating (also under renovation). This is a barebones hotel, but if anything it encourages you to go out and explore Boston and all it has to offer. Highly recommended for those who like to get out and about and for those who want easy access to the airport. Read more

We always stay at the harbor inn when we visit Boston. Great location and the hotel lobby seems to have been recently renovated. Did not give us late checkout due to "lack of cleaning staff." I know it's a courtesy but for the price and only one additional hour I wish they would have been more flexible.

The location was perfect! But the ants crawling around in the bathroom left a little to be desired. Furthermore, the room key did not work very easily. I went upstairs with my luggage, couldn't open the door, and went back to the front desk to notify them. The front desk clerk had to walk up with me to show me the "trick" needed to enter the room. Along […] the way she mentioned that "I think this is one of the doors that are tricky." How many do they have and why don't they fix them? I had to "jiggle" the handle just right every time I wanted to enter my room. If they are not going to fix it, they should offer me another room with a door that works properly. More than adequate but activity at the bar next door during the early morning hours [and the attending comments from patrons and passers by] were an entertainment feature we hadn't anticipated and didn't enjoy.Better to request a room without a view.

I have stayed at Harborside on multiple occasions for business. I love the unique style and boutique feel. The rooms are always immaculate and well-equipped. Convenient walking distance to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market and other key locations.

The room was not what I expected. I was thinking for the price I was paying the room would be more luxurious but was not. The air-conditioning in the room did not work and we had to change rooms also while sitting at the table in the room the leg broke off the chair and I fell. I definitely will not be staying there again.

Enjoyed it very much. The location was perfect and we were able to walk from the Hotel to all areas of the City we wanted to cover. Our only downside is the lack of inexpensive breakfast options on the weekend. Anthonys seemed to be the only place nearby. It would also be helpful if the days of operation were indicated in the in-room guide. We were […] looking forward to Nunzios and were taken aback when we discovered it closed Satuday morning. Also, large cups for coffee and low-fat milk as an option to Half and Half would be nice. Other than that, no complaints, whatsoever. I am a little concerned about the sound level for the interior rooms once the Lounge opens. Hope you're addressing that. Although we were only there for a night this hotel was very nice, clean and close to everything. My only "complaint" was the parking. The garage wasn't as close as we had hoped and the price was a bit more than what we were quoted on the phone. Otherwise, for what we needed it worked out great!

Would not think of a better place to stay if you are a tourist seeing the sights. T sation at the door; Faneuil Hall Market Place across street; about 1/2 mile from north end restaurants. Room was a bit small, but clean and comfy. Bath had a walk in shower that was great. Maid service was prompt and did a great job. Location was great as the subway was 1/2 block away. I choose the location for easy access to the airport which was two stops away on the subway line. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a "city-view" room that looked out over Columbus Park. There wasn't much of a view, but the room itself was really nice, with a pullout couch and beautiful exposed brick. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. hi, I'd say it was just a bed to sleep in and a place to shower. I didn't really like staying in the room other than that. It just felt old but clean. Maybe it was my room. Would I stay there again...probably not if other hotels were available. The area is great but Langham hotel is a couple blocks away if location is most important.

I wonder how this hotel was given 3.5 stars. To me, even 1 star is too much. No heater or coffee machine in rooms. If you want to drink something, you need to go to lobby. They are very stingy, even serve very small cups. Nothing fancy about room. Typical 1-2 star room. It was extremely noisy from air con. The A/C in room does not have option for auto. […] It should either be always on or off. Hotel staff do not care you at all. They already ripped you off. In summary, this is a below average hotel. Nice location. EAsy walk for family to marathon finish. "queen" bed was more like a full-sized bed. No real amenities. Would love Boston hotels to figure out how marathoners can shower after running. Since rates double for ther weekend, you might think they could include this.

This old warehouse has been beautifully converted into hotel space with high tech lighting, heating/cooling, and bathroom facilities. It was close to the harbor, Freedom Trail, subway, water taxi, and trolley. Though expensive, it cost far less than other hotels in the area.
