very good location, good hotel if travel without children. Front desk hours until 5 or 6 pm, better to check in earlier or call hotel in advance to enter in code or you will have to wait for someone to buzz you in. I would stay there again good price and location.

This B&B is absolutely charming. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms and common areas are filled with period furniture with character. Great for those who appreciate this kind of stuff and being in what I think is the most beautiful neighborhood and street in Boston.

Nice B&B, great location about a block from Boston Commons, Cheers, and a 10 minute walk to Chinatown. But, would have liked to have a TV in the room and a hot breakfast, sinjcethey have a full service kitchen.

The B&B is cute but the price didn't justify the services offered. Breakfast is very standard, which at a B&B we would have expected something a little more out of the ordinary. It is ok if you would like to be in a good location, but I probably wouldn't book there again. Nice Neighborhood, interesting place to see!

The hotel was great - like a B&B. Small without a lot of services (no fitness center), but everything that you need. Our only issue was the day our room was not cleaned, but since we do not change our bedding at home every day it was not a big issue just a surprise.

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights while visiting local Boston colleges. We had a double room with an in suite bathroom. The room and bathroom were very large and comfortable. Quite pretty and homey. I stayed here for one night before meetings the next day in Cambridge. Central location was obvious and one reason I chose it, after price, but was very impressed with service. no t.v.'s in the room but i wasn't there to watch t.v. there was free in room wi-fi to stay in touch and a free continental breakfast downstairs (with a t.v. if you had to watch something). 1 block to Boston Public Garden, 1 block to shopping on Newbury Street.

I had a few job interviews in Boston and as a student, I needed somewhere affordable that was near to the city center. The location was perfect and it was inexpensive, especially for the quality of service I received. Since I was arriving late at night, I called ahead and got the door code. My key was waiting for me. This is more a bed and breakfast culture as opposed to a hotel. I loved the location which was close to Boston Common and excellent shopping. There is no TV in the room, but there is Internet access and I had downloaded a movie to watch in the evening. Guests should know that they will access the hotel with a security code. I couldn't of found a perfect location. My room was small but comfortable. It was decorated nicely; a little on the frilly side, made it feel more like a visit to Grandma's. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was adequate with ample healthy selections.

Hotel is very well located, close to Public Garden, Biston Commons, Newburry street and metro. By the other hand, service is really rude and at my bed was not god. In average, location pays the price of service.

I had a wonderful experience. Located within walking distance of most everything i wanted to do, including the MFA and Gardner Museums...The front desk manager was helpful in every way. I happily recommend a stay here and will return. I even shared a bathroom which never was a problem.

I never set eyes on a member of staff, in two nights, but it was a wonderful stay. Clean and elegant rooms, a spotless shared bathroom and self-service breakfast. Plus, some homemade cookies left for guests during the day! Awesome.

This mansion is absolutely gorgeous. There are antiques everywhere and beautiful wooden floors, tapestries, old chairs, clean beautiful bathrooms. Also, the staff is nice and the breakfast is pretty good, plus they have limonade and hand made cookies. The neighborhood is fantastic, right next to the Boston Commons. It was my first time in Boston and I was flying in from Las Vegas. Enormous shock from Vegas to Boston size hotel rooms – from a loud to an extremely quite environment. This actually had a positive effect - helped me relax even though I was there on business. I found the hotel to be quite nice, very peaceful, the room was adequate and the staff was […] helpful. I was a little concerned about sharing bath, but it actually was not a problem at all. I got plenty of good sleep at night, had a nice shower in the morning and enjoyed the complementary breakfast before going to work. Couple of tips for those who plan to visit Boston to stay at The College Club of Boston, it’s a perfect location to visit this city. There are plenty of nice places to get something to eat on Newbury St. I’m more of a pub guy, I found a nice place to hang out with the locals, get a great pizza and enjoy a pint of Sam Adam’s at Whisky’s - corner of Gloucester & Boylston St. Renting a car – parking can be an issue! The only place close to the hotel to park is Boston Common parking a little expensive but convenient. Don’t leave the car on the street at night even if it’s free- you’ll still manage to get a ticket! And if you 2 hour park somewhere don’t be late because parking inspectors in Boston come out of under the rocks just 1 min after your time is up! Overall had a great experience in Boston – if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on hotel and are ok with simple acommodation you’ll enjoy staying at this property. Read more

I asked if I could leave my bag so I could explore the city the next day (the day I was checking out) and the office manager sternly said NO, go ask another hotel in Boston.. end of discussion. I went around asking other hotels if I could temporarily place my bags with them (and I would be happy to pay $$ for them to hold it) but they only allow that […] for their own hotel guests. So, I walked around Boston with all of my bags, since the College Club of Boston was inconsiderate. I felt just like a single day of revenue rather than a person or guest with them. Secondly, there is NO television in this B&B except a small 19 inch in the dining room. Though this place is cheap and in a good location, it provides poor service, no television and is not flexible!!!!.. I am disappointed with the management here.... I would tell anyone that wants to have a hotel or bed & breakfast to work with them to avoid this place. Spend $10 more and go to a hotel that provides considerate service. Read more

Nice room. Spacious. Very quiet & clean. No TV in room. Ancient phone with no instructions about how to make a call. Only staffed part of the time with entrance by code pad at front door. Don't arrive without having your entrance code as I did.. Staff helpful when present. Just of f Boston Common. Very convenient location

Pros: Room was Huge and nice (especially if you like old school design and individualized rooms), location was to die for, hassle was minimal and there was even a Wagner Society concert on Saturday evening that provided a nice background sound while we were getting ready for a night out. Cons: Elevator is small and old, free breakfast is somewhat limited […] (if you want something hot, it will need to fit in their toaster) and checkout is 11am. We arrived late, and our keys were in an envelope with my name on the table by the door. The room was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and still kept the very historic nature of the building's architecture and history, in its decor and accessories. No one greeted me or was there to help with bags at checkin or check out. Just envelope on desk with key. No coffee in room, no explanation of how to use heat in room, no room clean up. Breakfast items laid out, but boiled eggs hard as rocks and cold. thought the College Club of Boston is a top rated Bed and Breakfast. The service was excellent and very helpful when I found that I had left my phone charger at BU the day before. The gentleman helped me by printing map of Radio Shack that was just around the corner. I was also glad that the stay included a breakfast. You would probably feel like a guest of an old family in this hotel. The facility has a classical charm. You cannot expect a large room and bed for a single-shared bath room, but it is still comfortable. Double rooms seem to have much larger space, probably three times more than single rooms. I wish I had more days to spend in Boston so that I could have extended my stay at the College Club. The building is gorgeous, decorated in Victorian style, packed with special details you don't get at chain hotels (books in the rooms, free wireless throughout, delicious free breakfast (the orange juice is especially tasty), charm!). I only got the room there because I was going to a rock show in Cambridge, and (unlike the last time I went there and stayed in Revere), i only needed to switch subway lines once, so i could stay out a little later and catch the entire show. But I just got a great place to stay for the night. The place was right near the Arlington Green Line stop, […] and for the money I paid, it was very well worth it, even though i just slept there and checked out as soon as I woke up. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone just needing a place to crash overnight in Boston. It's very convenient to other places in the city. 3 or 4 stops to Fenway. Although I will admit that this hotel was in a great location downtown and was elegantly decorated, it was not quite up to my standards. We had arrived lated and even after informing them that we be be getting there after check in time, there was no one to check us in. The parking was also impossible, I spent almost an hour searching for a parking spot […] and it wasn't until the morning, with a $40 ticket that I now had to pay, that they informed me that there was a parking garage across the street.
