Apartment was fantastic! Great location, walking distance to all the major sites in Edinburgh! Very happy that we were able to park our car behind the building in a secured area. Apartment was clean and very comfortable! Just a wee suggestion...beds could be a little more comfortable.

Don't stay here unless you enjoy being awakened all night long by people coming and going and having loud drunken parties across the courtyard. The staff was great, but the carpet was stained and the dishwasher was missing the top rack. It was convenient to stay in a place with a kitchen and three rooms instead of one big room, but noise from the courtyard […] and other buildings ruined our sleep for at least 3 nights out of 6. This is not a place for a family to stay. This is a place for heavy drinkers and people who like loud partying at all hours. We enjoyed our stay. My two sons and I were visiting London for the purpose of sightseeing. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff made sure that we were happy. They even had gluten free items! The breakfast was located on the bottom floor and provided everything you needed for a great start. The service was exceptional! On the day that we arrived it was unusually warm for London (77 fahrenheit). The receptionist brought us an air cooler which helped some. I asked for a second cooler but they did not have another available at that time. However, early the following morning they found another cooler and brought it to us---it really made a difference and were we much more comfortable afterwards. We stayed in an apartment with a small kitchette with a table for dining. It had a fold out sofa. It was pleasantly decorated and the bathroom was slightly larger than I expected. The apartment was small but adequate. The staff was very helpful. Much noise in the courtyard but eventualy adjusted to this. The washing machine was not good at drying the clothes. Kitchen adequate for preparing a meal and TV adequate.

The Grove Apartments are easy to find and the receptionist was very friendly. however they upgraded me to the EQ2 Apartments, which meant a bit of a walk with heavy bags. The EQ2 apartments are very badly signed. All that marks them out from the back is some etching at the bottom of a window. You have to go round the front away from the canal to find […] the reception. I ended up with a two bed apartment, with ensuite shower room and bathroom. The kitchen was very well equipped, including the little things like salt and pepper. It was very quiet overlooking the canal with lovely views. There was a bit of noise from the other apartments but not too much - a good place to get some sleep in the city centre. The location is great, and the main areas of town - Princes Street and the Royal Mile are easily walkable - 10 - 15 minutes walk. (You'd probably want to get a taxi if you have trouble with walking). Stayed with 2 labrador dogs in ground floor appartment. Cleaner called every day to do rooms. Appartment was excellent only unexpected expense which wasnt mentioned when booking was having to pay to park car. Enjoyed lots of long walks, canal and towpath just about 400mts from hotel. Would use it again.

Unfortunately noise from other guests did spoil our stay. The walls are wafer thin and noise from guests above and below kept us awake into the early hours. It was the weekend of the Wales vs Scotland Rugby match but nevertheless, we came to edinburgh for a relaxing weekend and returned home shattrered!

The reception desk were extremely helpful and the apartments were favourably located for access to town. We booked the Grove apartments and we expected something basic bearing in mind the price. Great experience from check-in to check-out. Location is perfect -waking distance to E Castle and Royal Mile and to great restaurants Loved the secure parking facility as well. My first impression of these apartments was very positive. The staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to store our luggage in advance of checking in 6 hours later. When we did come to checking in they were swift and efficient. The only problem was that they forgot to return my photo ID after photocopying it, but phoned me later to rectify […] this. The apartment itself was lovely - clean, modern and nicely decorated. The kitchen was adequately stocked for us to cook dinner, although it would be helpful to have basic cooking ingredients like olive oil, herbs, sauces. The other problem with the kitchen was the dishwasher. The dinner plates and other items (such as pans) were too big to go in the washer. My main issue with the accommodation was noise. We were on the ground floor next to the front door. It had an automatic closer which made it very noisy. And people were coming and going throughout the night. On top of this there were a number of stag/hen parties staying in other apartments and they were very noisy. When I made a point of mentioning this to the reception staff on check-out, she said it was better not to stay at week-ends. Sound advice HOWEVER, most people take week-end breaks at the week-end!!! I certainly wouldn't recommend the room we stayed in for light sleepers or families. I would stay in the apartments again because they were centrally located, and great for both the Castle and the modern art galleries on the edge of town. I would be wary about the location of our flat though. Perhaps request to be away from large groups and noisy doors! Read more

Ten minutes walk from the western end of Princes Street, these modern, well-appointed apartments are ideal for a touring base, visits to the University, and for shopping expeditions. This was a great little find - attractive appartment, well appointed and comfortable. With secure parking (at small extra charge), and easy walking access to lots of cafes etc, the slightly unexciting immediate surroundings were of no importance. Great value, and I'll recommend it to friends.

We have stayed at the apartments a few years ago before they were completed. The new office is wonderful and the staff very helpful. The apartments are well equipped with kitchen appliances, pots, pans etc. There was nothing that we needed and didn't have. There is a dishwasher and washing machine/dryer which was very handy. You do need to provide your […] own washing machine tablets. The apartment itself was not huge in size but big enough for my husband our son and myself. Good t.v. package which is important when you have a young son that goes to bed early. The apartment is close to all amenities in the area including a tesco express and sainsbury's.
