Rittenhouse 1715, A Boutique Hotel - Philadelphia 39.94829, -75.17011

This boutique hotel was magnificent. There have been some reviewers that have complained about the noise (construction near by)... I do not know what they were talking about. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly front desk rep. Gave us our code card - no keys and told us about the wine reception; all in a matter of minutes. We proceeded to go up to the room. The lobby looked like it had been ripped from a designer magazine. Once we got to the room we were surprised at all the amenities. the shower was to die for. The bed, the fireplace, the lighting, it was all very elegant and strategically placed. The linens were fresh and the ambience was unbelievable. We went out for dinner to a nearby restaurant (Branzino's). There are a number of fabulous restaurants in the area, all within a few steps of this hotel. This is a true gem in the city.

Very nice - room decor, staff, location all excellent. My only issue was that I had asked for hypoallergenic bedding and didn't get it so I had allergies...

Can't rave enough. May be a bit too cute for some business types but I loved it. Great location on a quiet side street, but only a few steps from all the Rittenhouse Sq. action. The excellent continental breakfast, free WiFi and nightly wine reception add up to out of pocket savings for me.

Just perfect for a weekend getaway, with fabulous shopping just steps away from your room.

Quiet, very European flavor (especially breakfast room). Elegant rooms and amenities. Friendly staff.

This is a small hotel that has gone to a lot of trouble to ensure a qulity approach to looking after their guests.Everywhere was immaculately clean and Iam picky!Got best nights sleep of any of the other hotels I had stayed at while in the US. Staff very helpful with friendly attitude.Breakfast was better than expected.Only issue was the room was a little on the small side . Good location and central.

We enjoyed lovely hospitality, with the concierge going out of her way on more than one occasion to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast offerings were tasty, and the evening wine reception very nice. We would definitely stay again!

This hidden gem is ideally located in Rittenhouse Square, barely noticed from the sidewalk. It is quiet, small and has a high level of service. A definite must for those looking to get out of the mayhem of a large hotel.

The hotel met all of our expectations. Service is top notch. Excellent breakfast of fresh fruit and pastries included. Great location.

Just ok.....hotel is charming but, 1.) View is ugly. Construction and parking lot. 2.) Limited service. No bell hops so if the staff at the front desk is available (i.e., not on the phone) then you will have help with luggage. Otherwise, you carry it yourself. 3.) TV connection was bad. A/C is only controlled by the front desk....so my room was hot because they would not crank up the A/C, in July! (They could not turn it up because other guests would comment on it being too cold.)

Parking could have been more conveniently arranged; through the hotel, rather than paying at the lot, for example. A very small criticism, however.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Philly. On a quiet side street close to Rittenhouse Square. The breakfast room was small but filled with delicious treats. My husband & I went for a overnight last minute get away and were delighted with the staff & the rooms attention to detail. Overall the room was a bit small but well appointed. We will return for sure!

Great location, but nearby construction made the street a challenge at times. Terrific neighborhood. It is really an in-town B&B, and we are more used to luxury hotels.

It was a bit difficult to find because it's off the beaten path. We had a room on the 3rd floor. Good workout because the elevator did not go up there. The staff was exceptional. My only complaint is they put out snacks, water, chololate and nuts in your room with no prices or note that they called the "mini bar" when you checked out. Thankfully we only ate 3oz of nuts for $6.42. No vending or ice machine.

A comfortable and quaint hotel in an active and attractive older neighborhood.

Everyone at this lovely little hotel was gracious and eager to please. The included breakfast was delicious.

A wonderful location, service and quality room.

My parents are used to staying at the most exclusive hotels. I thought I would try this boutique hotel for a change. They were very pleased! In addition, the hotelvoluntarily provided them with an upgrade for no additional charge. That was a very nice surprise!

best sheets, pillows, mattress ever. except some garbage trucks outside window, quiet. lovely staff. great breakfast.

I stayed at Rittenhouse 1715 for one night on a business trip. My room was very nice (I was upgraded to a king room on the second floor). The common areas were well maintained. I enjoyed the evening wine in the sitting room and the breakfast was excellent. The construction site across the street was relatively quiet because I stayed on a Sunday night and was up at 7.

My fiance and I had a GREAT stay at the Rittenhouse 1715. It was unbelievable just how quiet it was within our room, as our room faced the street. The employees there were very helpful in finding a place for us to eat dinner. I have been raving about this place to anyone who will listen and we definitely intend on coming back!!!

It is an excellent hotel with a feeling of visiting someone's well kept and decorated home.

The Rittenhouse is a wonderful, comfortable, and relaxing hotel right in the middle of the city. The cozy environment gives you the feeling that the staff cares about your comfort. You almost forget that right outside the entrance is Rittenhouse Square. You don't get the same feel with other larger style hotel chains as you do inside The Rittenhouse 1715. You feel as though you are more then just another customer.

Absolutely perfect! A great place to stay in Center City for a good price.

Quiet, side street with Rittenhouse Square just around the corner. Small hotel with lovely furnishings. Includes breakfast - although I didn't get a chance to try it.

I was completely satisfied with the hotel.The staff was friendly and helpful.My room was nicely furnished ,comfortable and clean.The breakfast room was charming and the breakfast was tasty.The location was convenient for shopping and dining.I would gladly recommend the hotel and plan to stay there again.

The Rittenhouse 1715 is small, but elegant with that combines period furnishings and crystal chandeliers with 21st century wireless internet and plasma televisions. Already getting a great rate, I was upgraded to a suite with fireplace and Jacuzzi. Service is superb with a wonderful free breakfast served on old-fashioned china. A glass of wine is offered at the end of the day in the living room. Bedtime turn-downs included chocolates and bottled water. In one of the nicest neighborhoods for walking, the Rittenhouse is convenient to shopping and wonderful restaurants and a lovely park. One of my best business trips ever.

We stayed at Rittenhouse 1715 this last weekend, and had a great stay. The front desk was extremely helpful, and the hotel is near a lot of great restaurants and Rittenhouse Square. I highly recommend it.

Great helpful staff and a very nice room. On comment though- some construction across the street started in the early am. My husband slept through it, I didnt. Overall a very nice experience though.

The Rittenhouse 1715, A Boutique Hotel was the absolutely perfect place for us to stay. Centrally located in the center of Philly, lent itself to allowing us to shop, eat, and walk everywhere without having to take any taxis. Parking was close, and we thoroughly enjoyed every touch. I've been all over the world and have high expectations in hotels. This was perfect for a getaway and wanting personalized touch. PS - Loved the complimentary Molton Brown products!

Absolutely charming small inn, where service is taken very seriously. The inn itself is beautifully decorated and spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful, wine and snacks in the afternoon was a nice plus, and their deluxe version of a continental breakfast in the quaint cafe (complete with vintage china and silver) was very well done. Our stay at this hotel was the highlight of our visit to Philadelphia.

I enjoyed my stay at 1715 very much and will stay there again.My only small discomfort was some difficulty with the heating control. I wasn't able to get it up to a comfortable level , for me, (around 70 degrees). It was a very cold night. My room temp stayed at 66. they might check their thermostats.

Enjoyed my stay at the Rittenhouse 1715. The staff was friendly. Location was central to the action. Property was interesting. Bathroom was huge and excellent.

Friendly attentive staff, helped us with finding the best parking, the perfect restaurant, great right down to the wine tasting, breakfast & loaning of an umberella! Completely impressed with everything. Would reccommend this to my friends and stay again anytime. It made our business trip into a delightful experience.

Nice rooms with a bed and breakfast feel. As one would expect from a facility like this, some normal hotel amenities are not available (in room coffee, in room movies, room service or restaurant). However, despite these shortcomings, the hotel is very nice and the rooms comfortable and well decorated.

One of the best boutique hotels of many that I've visited. The location by Rittenhouse Square can't be beat. The staff and the guests were earnestly friendly. Truly comfortable in every way and a bargain compared to larger, less comfortable hotels in the area.
