Super 8 by The Galleria / North Dallas

On a business trip wanted somewhere inexpensive and the only complaint I have was that the contiental breakfast wasn't worth the effort. Cereal and muffins only.

The only detraction was access to all rooms was outside with outside stairways and no elevator. That made getting heavy luggage and boxes up to the second floor rooms interesting. Hotel was within walking distance of many restaurants and within 2 miles of probably 30 additional places to eat. Right off "Restaurant Row" in Addison. A food lover's dream! […] Room was clean and reasonably appointed. WiFi worked first try and re-connected each time I accessed the internet. Heating unit was efficient and very quiet! Plenty of table space and floor space so as not to seem crowded. Lovely local neighborhood for walking or jogging. I would definitely stay there again. Read more

This was a quick pick for a trip to the Dallas area. Area was not bad just watch out on Friday and Saturday nights as there is a club across from the hotel. The clock radio did not tell time at all. My only major complaint on this hotel was the faint smell of urine in the room. I walked in the room and felt like I needed one of those anti-contamination suits. It reeked and the place was so old and dated. It wasn't the newest hotel around, but it's clean and cheap. Room service available. Also when I needed an Iron to freshen a shirt to go out in and there wasn't one included in the room, the desk clerk brought one and an ironing board to me within 5 minutes! Great Service! Lots off good food choices in the neighborhood too.

We go here for some quiet time and to be left alone. This place is great for that. Its not fancy, but that is not what we needed, just a nice place to chill out. The rates are great and it is in an area with a lot of eats that are very easy to get too and are in walking distance. WE have made this place the only place we stay at when we are in Dallas/ […] Addison. The staff is always very nice to us and very understanding. When we reserved a room online they didnt any have king size beds, so I had to get a double room. When we checked in, we asked if there were any kngs and can we switch to one. There was one open and they were more a night, but they didn't charge us and they gave us a handicap room when He saw I walked with a cane and was handicaped. This is a typical Super 8. Nothing fancy, but the price was right and the location near where I needed it. When I got to the room the heater in the room made some loud noises and the manager came to look at it. It seemed to stop after about 30 minutes and then was fine. On hotels.com there were two rates, a lower prepaid/non-refundable rate and a higher […] rate that didn't say it was prepaid. I booked the higher rate because I wasn't sure of my plans but then noticed the full charge on my credit card right away. Fortunately I did need the room, but I didn't expect it to be pre-paid. The front desk clerk, Melissa wasn't very pleasant and I was given a room on the second floor directly in the middle of the hotel. 'Stair cases were on the opposite sides. The hotel was basically empty. The room was more like a third rate motel with patches of wall paper in a poor attempt to dress the place up. Smooth check-in. Clean, comfortable room with small refrigerator. Only quirk was an irritating noise from the bathroom exhaust fan. Solution = don't run fan. Have stayed here twice and will stay here again.

The hotel was great! Addison is a great area to stay in, the room was very cheap and had a mini fridge and microwave, which can be hard to find in a cheap hotel these days. Bed was not very comfortable, but for the price and just one night it was fine. There is a dog park less than a block away at Offices in the Park if you bring your pet with you.

Staff is inefficient at this place. Hot water wasn't available for 2 days. Things like a simple toaster are broken. Rooms are ok. It's ok for the price and may be for staying a day or two at the max

It's an older motel that still has it's original "charm" ie: it's had some cosmetic work done to cover the cracks, but hasn't gone under the knife as yet. It served my needs of somewhere to stay for 5 nights at a good price. If you have a car, the location is of no issue, but you can certainly walk to a grocery store, Target and many MANY restaurants […] easily in 15 mins. There are 2 bus lines very close (one stops right outside) which will take you to the train station and then into Dallas Metroplex. Found the hotel to be unkempt, walls were paper thin, seemed as though it hadn't been updated since is was built. Was cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for. Did not have a great place (sitting area) to bring clients to for a meeting.

Wir haben 14 Tage im Super 8 by the Galleria verbracht. Viele werden jetzt denken warum so lang in diesem Motel. Wir können nur sagen, die Lage ist ideal. Es gibt hier in Gehweite viele gute Restaurants und Kneipen. Wie der Name schon sagt ist das Einkaufszentrum the Galleria und auch die Shops at Willow bend in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. […] Weiterhin lassen sich alle Atraktion von Dallas und Fort Worth über die Belt Line Road und die weiterführenden Autobahnen gut erreichen. Die Gegend um das Motel wirkt sehr sauber und wir fühlten uns hier sicher untergebracht. Wie die Überschrift schon sagt, ist das Motel schon etwas älter und wirkt ein wenig abgegriffen, doch Zimmer, Lobby, Pool, die Gänge und der Parkplatz wurden immer sehr sauber gehalten. Der Check-In war unkompliziert und das Personal war hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir würden jederzeit wieder einen 14 tägigen Urlaub dort verbringen. Read more
