"Great views, convenient to Sorrento bus service"
This was an overnight excursion from Rome to tour Pompeii so I really wanted to stay at a place with a view from above Sorrento. The hotel had views from our room, pool, and common areas. All staff was attentive and gracious and the breakfast was varied and generous. The grounds and room nice and just as advertised. The only drawback was not having […] wifi in the room, but not necessarily important for everyone. We stayed in for dinner and the food was only mediocre since they don't have full restaurant service, but the breakfast was much, must better. Would recommend this hotel for the value and location to the bus service right outside. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Unbelievable view. Unbelievable service."
Absolutely loved this place. The staff was so friendly and helped us with more than we even asked for. Fantastic view and relatively close to downtown Sorrento. Romantic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel sits on winding road above Sorrento and the ocean. It has perhaps the most spectacular view I have experienced in many years of travel. The resident family is very friendly and kind, and tries to make the guests feel very comfortable. The facility itself is clean and acceptable, and includes a nice swimming pool and associated deck with the great […] view. However, the physical facility does not deserve a rave review. In addition, the only viable transportation to Sorrento is by a regularly scheduled, but somewhat intermittent, public bus. You can definitely deal with this, but you have to plan. "Excellent, except the location"
I know these reviews are important. This was our second visit to Sorrento; well worth a visit! I'm not sure how it happened, but I must of misread the distance to downtown. You can NOT walk there. The hotel is up a very, very steep hill that is two lanes (barely) with no shoulder. Upon arrival we were told to either take a bus or taxi. We took a taxi […] -- 48 euro! The hotel told us how to use the bus system, which is 3.50 euro each way per person. They also have a car service of 5 euro. I would not stay here again because of all the difficulties getting to and from town. I must say the view is outstanding -- once you've seen it, who cares? The room is great. The staff tries hard to help. If you are driving there are a few spots to park. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is such an awesome hotel--GREAT find in Sorrento. The views are spectacular and the service is wonderful. Yes, a little ways from city center--perfect for me--the bus stop is meters away and the restaurants recommended are simply amazing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Would recommend a car"
Nice little hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bus stops right in front of the hotel WHEN IT IS NOT FULL. We were passed by twice by full buses. I would recommend a car if you are staying here in the busy season.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful place outside of the hustle and bustle"
Wonderful place to stay! While away from the center of down, the bus system is very easy to navigate and the staff is very helpful. It's great to buy a bus tickets at the front desk on your way out the door for the day. The hotel had a beautiful view of the Mediterranean and mt Vesuvius. Every morning, you wake up to roosters crowing and geese at […] the local farm rather than car alarms and honking. The rooms were spacious and well maintained and also offered an English Channel on tv for movies and sitcoms. We had a great stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"5 days at Villa Fiorita"
The villa isi quite nice, but it is not easy to get to and from - the website makes it seem close to the town of Sorrento when in fact it is a 15 min or more bus ride up the switchback roads - so not at all convenient for getting around. Also the hotel is not equipped with an elevator, which we didn't realize. it's a long ramp or many steps from the […] street down to the entrance, then once inside we had 46 steps up to our floor. For we over 65 it was not an easy place to move around - so just a warniing about that. I loved the view once there and the staff was pretty helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Above Sorrento....a beautiful view"
We had a wonderful time at Hotel Fiorita. The staff was very helpful with bus schedules and tickets available at their desk. They were helpful providing courtesy car rides to local, recommended restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful setting, friendly staff."
We only stayed one night, so I can't say too much, but our experience was very positive. The hotel was fairly small and intimate, and seemed to be run by a husband and wife team, whom were very friendly. The hotel is situated very high on the mountain above Sorrento, so the view is spectacular. It is quite remote though, and I think it would be hard […] to do a lot of sightseeing from there. Shuttle service to two nearby restaurants was available, and we chose one, and had a very nice dinner, with again, a gorgeous view. The included breakfast in the morning was very nice also. "Great BnB overlooking the valley and the bay"
Villa Fiorita was great. I read all the reviews and had no surprises. The staff and particularly Giovani the manager were more than helpful and hospitable. They always had cheaper and better ways to do everything. The food was good too. Me and my wife would def go backGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellence service from front desk/beautiful view"
I took a chance on staying out of the city to get a BEAUTIFUL view of Sorrento from up on the hills. I had a balcony overlooking the hotel pool and the hillside. Could not have been better. Saw fireworks one night! I didn't mind the bus trip out to the hotel. The room was a soft orange sherbet color that fit in with the surroundings. I happened to become […] ill (from a restaurant in town!) and the front desk was extremely helpful in getting me medical attention and working with me on changing an excursion reservation I had made with them. "Will do Villa Fiorita again next time in Sorrento"
I feel I'd do this hotel some injustice if I don't write something positive regarding my stay in Hotel Fiorita. Nice friendly staff. Always smiling and very helpful. The place is very accessible by bus (any bus towards Amalfi, Positano). Just tell the driver Villa Fiorita. Breakfast was superb. The view from my room fantastic. And Villa Fiorita offers […] taxi service to 3 restaurants around the area. If you are bogged down by luggage, Villa Fiorita offers great taxi service starting from 3 Euro. I highly recommend this place for the hospitality, view and it is just so value for money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet get-away in the hills above Sorrento"
This small 25-room hotel high In the hills overlooking Sorrento and the bay was much nicer than we expected. The family that owns and runs the hotel is very friendly, speaks English and is extremely helpful with any request. Our twin bed room with a balcony on the bay side was large and spotless. The bathroom was small by American standards but average […] for European rooms. We had a problem with our toilet making noise when flushing, and it was fixed immediately. The hotel-provided breakfast was amazing: boiled eggs, croissants, rolls, yogurt, juices, meat and cheese, fresh fruit, and a coffee, tea and cappuccino machine. A small bar in the hotel lobby provided drinks and freshly-made cappuccinos in the evening for a very reasonable fee. There is a Sorrento bus to take you down to the train station in the center of town and back up to the hotel several times a day for 4 euros one way. There is also a beautiful walking trail from the hotel to Sorrento that takes about 45 minutes downhill. We recommend taking the bus back up! The hotel arranged a day-long boat excursion for us to Amalfi, Positano and points in-between, which includes a taxi ride to and from the boat (available on Wed and Fri only). There is a small town, San Agata, worth visiting about ten minutes walk with good restaurants, a lovely old church and an excellent gelateria. We had a very enjoyable stay and would book the hotel again without question. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place enjoy."
The hotel is very nice, excellent breakfast, the view from the mountain is superb, staff is also very nice, there is a bus that comes and goes to Sorrento's downtown. There were some noisy people and the doors of the rooms are also very noisy (old knobs with old keys) but everything else is excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review

with out a car it took a little bit get used to using the bus, taxis were about 20 euro in day and about 35 euros in evening. they did have three restruants in area with free pick up and return we used one of them and it was excellent. I didn't realize how far the hotel was from sorrento and was apprehensive until the views sunk in!!! Amazing sunsets!!! And, the buses are very easy and convenient to use!!! The staff are very very accommodating and helpful. They provide free car service to 3 different restaurants which are pretty decent. "High above Sorrento"
The Hotel has the feel of a family owned and operated hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff and lots of places to sit and enjoy Amalfi Peninsula views and weather. The location is high overlooking Sorrento, which is too crowded, and offers views of the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius from the terrace outside our room. The same view is seen from […] the pool terrace. Car parking is valet. There is a limited menu but the hotel has arrangements with nearby high quality restaurants for pick up/drop off of customers. The continental free breakfast was OK: Croissants, cereal, yogurt, juices, toast, fruit and coffe/tea. Room was small for three adults, but clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet despite a number of college students staying there as part of a travel abroad program. Small charge for Wi-fi accessibility. It is an affordable option for touring the Amalfi coast with Amalfi about a 45 minute drive along a breathtaking road with views that are unforgetable. Vesuvius, Pompei and Heraclaneum about a 45 minute drive in the other direction toward Naples. If driving anywhere leave lots of time as the Sorrento area is very congested and the roads all over the peninsula are filled with hair pin turns. If you like to drive they are great-- if you don't take a bus which is a convenient and inexpensive option. I would return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Villa Fiorita is a charming small hotel 15 minutes outside of Sorrento. It was 5 minutes from a charming town called saint Agata. The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was very nice and the view was incredible. I had a huge quadruple room for the price of a single. But do not be misled by the "as the crow flies" distance from the city center. The hotel is not real easy to get to. There is a bus from the train station, but you have to make sure you take the right bus. A quiet hotel in the hills overlooking Sorrento. Great staff very friendly and helpful. The bus goes past the door to Sorrento. Quiet location away from the maddening crowds but within easy reach of Sorrento by bus or taxi. Will be back again next year....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There was a very nice view of Sorrento from the Hotel. The breakfast was included with the room and had a variety of choices, including a selection of buns, cold cuts, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, as well as freshly brewed café latté and cappuccinos. The concierge of the hotel was very helpful, recommending restaurants, arranging for transportation. […] A few things were inconvenient: the hotel didn't have an elevator and our room was on the third floor. "An ideal base to explore Amalfi"
At 7 miles from Sorrento this may seem an odd choice, but really, one wants to avoid driving in Italy at the best of times - and in Naples at NO time (unless as a planned alternative to attending Dignitas in Switzerland) and on the Amalfi coast, simply because there is nowhere to park. This modest hotel with simple rooms (some with their own terraces) […] has a couple of terraces and a bar and pool - with good breakfast (some lighter meals at other times) and very helpful front desk staff. Their comprehensive guide in the room is outstanding and ensures that from this hotel you can explore the area including Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, Positano, the island of Capri and more. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and tickets can be purchased from the hotel. The buses are remarkably prompt and cover the Amalfi coast. The drivers are very helpful and well used to 'lost' tourists! The buses stop in Sorrento at the train TIP - get your tickets from the first floor booking office - not the dodgy newsagent on the ground floor) - straight to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. Must recommend Paestum - further south (we drove so you will need to find out how to get there), but it is the best set of ruins I have ever seen - three Greek temples (yes - in Italy). Go now before Pompeii, Herculaneum get washed away, a tragedy, having been hidden for 2,000 years. They are now ravaged by the weather. Naples museum is a must to see all the good stuff beforehand Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Couldn't have chosen better!"
The hotel is about 6km out of Sorrento, but the buses are regular. (2.2 Euro each way) The views are stunning and it was well worth the effort of being slightly out of town. It was a peaceful setting and such a pleasure listening to the birds singing morning and evening. We chose a garden room which faced a small orchard and to the side of the balcony […] we could see the sea. There was a terrace with sun chairs on our floor. Our room was very acceptable and rather charming. We had a small bathroom with an efficient shower. The room was spotless and we had fresh towels every day and clean bed linen once during our week's stay. The real plus point to this hotel is the owners. I have stayed in many hotels- grand, middling, indifferent and bad, but I have never known such pleasant and helpful people. Nothing was too much trouble, As soon as they saw us walking down the steps, our key was on the desk and we were asked how we had enjoyed our day. Each room had a wonderful folder with information about Places of Interest and exact instructions on how to get there. If you wanted, they would print you a copy so that you could take it with you. There were several excursions available through the hotel and although I didn't go on one personally, people I talked to did and praised them highly. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. "Great view of the sea or a rather bland garden"
A small family run hotel with approx 30 rooms. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. Communal areas include a small reception area, a terrace with a great view of the sea & the town of Sorrento and another small shaded area at the front. You either get a room with a view of the sea or a rather lacklustre view of what they refer to as a garden. Strictly […] half board only although you can order snacks in the evening for 7E. Alcohol selection also available from a small menu. They also hold 3 evening menus from local restaurants which if you fancy, they will call to have you picked up & dropped back at the hotel at no charge. The food wasn't great at 25-30E/person so would recommend that you dine in town. Hotel serves a modest cold breakfast which I found to be OK. Ok so the room was basic but it was cheap so I was more than happy. They provide sachets of shampoo, soap, toilet roll and that's it! No tissues, razor, ... or any coffee/tea making facilities. Avoid using taxis from Sorrento to the hotel. They charge 30E. Use the SITA bus which runs every hour or so IN THEORY for 2.50E! But they rarely run to schedule. I experienced 2 scheduled runs never turn up and ended waiting 2-3 hrs. The hotel can also call a taxi for you at half the cost so note their number down before setting off. You can catch the SITA bus to Sorrento or Amalfi coast just outside the hotel which was handy. The bus service was really the only let down. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Friendly, family-run hotel with fantastic views"
I stayed here with my sister the first week of October 2013. Despite the unusually early rain, there were many sunny afternoons and it was a fantastic place to watch the nightly thunderstorms from. The hotel is a twenty minute bus journey from the centre of Sorrento. Buses are regular and drop you right outside the hotel, which offers fantastic views […] across the bay and towards Mount Vesuvius.
