This was a nice little hotel. It was clean and the staff was very nice. The $8 food voucher for the restaurant next door was a nice addition also. I would stay again for sure.

The linens were clean, but not very fresh, and the bathroom had hair on the walls and floor. The rest of the room and hotel were fine though. Staff was very friendly, and the free full breakfast in the restaurant was excellent.

My one complaint is that soap was very sparse as well as the shampoo supplied. For the price of the hotel, I would hope that a few amenities would be given. A disappointment in that regard.

I came into town for a wedding. The hotels recommended by the bridal party had miserable reviews both online and from the wedding guests that stayed there. I did my own research before booking and came up with the Oak Tree Inn. It is a nice hotel - probably one of the nicer ones in the area based on what folks at the wedding told me but it certainly […] isn't what I'm used to. TV was kind of old, bathroom looked like it was from the late '80s, etc. I was willing to pay more to stay somewhere nicer but couldn't really find anything in the area. They have a nice arrangement with the diner next door. Instead of the hotel providing a continental breakfast for the guests, they give each guest an $8 voucher for the diner. My wife and I were both able to eat breakfast and and only spent about $2. Unlike most hotels, they also have free Wi-Fi internet. Most hotels these days have it, but charge extra for it. If I had to travel to the Buffalo area again, I'd stay there again. Read more

This was a GREAT motel, and altho there was some commercial buildings near it, the location was good. They don't have a shuttle service, but we had a rental car. They are close to a main blvd that can be noisy if the double-paned windows are open. This was a clean place and it had a refridgerator and a microwave- bonus with kids. The continental breakfast was good and bad. The bad was it was at a nearby restaurant so if you're looking to eat and go it's a downfall. The room was spacious for two. A/C provided chillness while heat was provided by the Micro wave. Coffee maker gave us fresh energy and the spring bed provided the in-depth sleep.The stay was comfortable and decided to book rooms here in the future.

Against my judgement, I stay here while in town for a wedding. I wouldn't typically stay at a 2 star hotel but was reassured by the four star reviews. Clearly, people who've given this a four star rating haven't stayed at many nice hotels. The place was maginally clean. There was mildew on the shower curtain. The rooms certainly could use updating. […] Also, free breakfast is NOT included, as advertised on this site. The front desk is not manned 24 hours a day, and the people manning it were generally cranky.On the positive side, the hotel is relatively conveniently located to Buffalo and surrounding areas. Rooms include a mini-fridge, microwave, and free wifi. The hotel was generally nice, clean and close to shopping etc. Hotel staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and clean, but made a "crunchy" noise whenever you turned over or got up (some type of protective cover for the mattress ?). The basic pillow was too hard and too large, so we resorted to other means for pillows. […] Basics like shampoo and conditioner, hand soap and toilet paper were very limited. I did like the extra supply of clean towels in the bathroom. Beds were not made during the day, but garbage and used towel pickup was good. I booked this hotel after reading the reviews of previous guests. They must have been at a different hotel. The room (non-smoking) had a terrible cigarette smell and was dirty. The bathroom was very dirty and the room itself was dusty. I've stayed in other hotels in Buffalo via Expedia and was satisfied with the experience. I had a lot of work to do online and I was unable to access the internet from any location within the hotel.. I had to drive to another address to procure the service that was listed as available and free at the Oak Tree Inn. I don't care if the wifi is free or needs to be bought, I needed it! Also, with the purchased rooms there was to be a full breakfast […] included...well, not quite.. We were offered meal vouchers for a restaurant up the street. It was pouring rain outside..I was wearing sweats and a T-shirt and slippers. Vouchers declined. I do not stay in hotels where they do not even have coffee and donuts for the guests. I had to get dressed and drive to a restaurant that appealed to me a bit more than the one where the vouchers could be redeemed. I definitely felt deceived and a bit cheated. Never again at that location though. And, from now on I will get confrmation of the availability of the offered services befor I commit time and money. Read more

Very good place to stay when traveling. Simple room with all the accessories--microwave, fridge, iron, blow dryer, coffee maker. It was very clean, and the rug, bedspreads, etc. were in good shape, not worn. I would stay here again when I travel.

The walls were paper thin, the Internet never worked, the mattress box springs squeaked loudly and my room reaked of stale cigarret smoke. The room at least was clean. If saving money is the main factor and you are only staying one night (and don't mind the smell) then you will be ok.
