"Great hotel for everyone!"
The STAFF is very attentive and helpful. They explained to us how to get to places, metros, take buses and even print out maps for us. The LOCATION is great, we only use a metro station to get to Alexandria and a bus to Georgetown(11min and $1) went walking to all the other places -national mall(we walked to the White House, Capitol.. only few blocks […] away), museums, restaurants, bars- it also has a CVS walking distance. The BREAKFAST had variety.. waffles, eggs, sausages, toasts, bagels, muffins, coffee, hot chocolate and juices. The hotel also has a small "store" on the lobby where you can buy microwaveable food and make it there, ice cream, chips and drinks. The BEDROOM and BATHROOM were clean and spacious Overall the hotel is great and ill recommend it to anyone. Went scared once to a Boston hotel for the reviews of others. People, you get what you pay for, don't expect a five star luxury hotel if you are paying what it costs to stay here! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Gave my 2 bed room to someone else none left"
Very upset that I had booked a room with 2 beds pre paid entire bill and when I got there they did not have any rooms with two beds left. They had rented this room to someone else. I being male was traveling with a deaf male 35 years old did not not want to sleep together or appropriate. I have run into this practice of other hotels giving a 2 bed room […] away probobly to higher price payer. Think this pracitice is unethical and wold never chance staying there again. "A Great Stay!"
Hotel is located in a very convenient location, we can walk couple of blocks to a few metro station depending which line we are taking. And there are CVS and convenience store about 2 blocks away. Staff are friendly and helpful; we especially like the complimentary breakfast provided in the morning, we don't have to worry about where to get our breakfast […] before starting the day trip, it's awesome!! "Hotel in poor condition"
Our room was very small. The room was a two double bed arrangement. The room is so small, one of the beds was against a wall. The bathroom is also small. There is also no other place in the room for anyone else to get ready while someone is in the bathroom. Re-stocking of the breakfast bar each day was extremely slow. The elevators are horrible! Maximum […] occupancy of each is only 5 persons and they moved really slow. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean room, comfortable bed. I slept well. Good location.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was clean. Bed firm. Helpful & friendly staff. Convenient location, walking distance to White House & other transportation. Restaurants in walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good place to stay"
Reasonable rate; not in the city center, but convenient to metro and bus station; neighborhood sorrounding is good and quiet. Good breakfast, and yummy cookies provided at lobby around 6pm. love it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our room was tiny and cramped. Bath towels were of poor quality and very small. Walls were paper thin and guest in adjoining rooms were loud. One of the two elevators was not running for over 24 hours leaving guests to either wait a long time for the other elevator or forced to walk up/down the stairs of which there was no air conditioning on very hot […] August days. One of two ice machines located in this hotel didn't work for the entire visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel in a good location"
I think the hotel was good for the price, and then also the location was relatively good to the attractions of Washington. My only concern was the double beds were small (i.e the beds looked like a single king). We booked a room with two double beds, for three people. My parents had to share one of these which was a bit of struggle. Apart from that […] the room was quite large, and was furnished nicely. Breakfast (I thought) was nice too. "Family D.C. vacation trip"
Great hotel experience. We traveled with small children and baby we were able to get a play-pen for a little extra charge, but less then paying the airlines to carry on. Warm chocolate chip cookies, lemon water, and coffee in the lobby, Great morning continental breakfast. Close to everything we wanted to visit in D.C. Highly recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
Needed to find a place that was somewhat reasonable - this fits the bill. Easy walk to the Convention Center where I had my meeting.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good and clean"
I stayed at this hotel for one night. The room was clean but kind of on the small side. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Nice breakfast. Very slow elevators. Overall, a good place.Genuine Expedia guest review
The manager was apologetic for the problems, but it did not undo the issues. Room curtains were half-hanging. The view was of air conditioning units, and the paint in the bathroom was chipping. Breakfast was continental, and good enough... but when I asked a staff member for more coffee, she continued to pour her own cereal for her breakfast. The room […] filled its purpose... it was a place to lay my head for a few hours, but I wouldn't recommend the hotel as a destination for more than that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to the business I was conducting"
My stay at the hotel was great. Charnee at the front desk was very helpful in getting me directions to my business meeting and was very cheerful and welcoming during the stay. Also the cookies are great. I would recommend this hotel to others visiting the DC area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Home Away From Home On 13th St.NW"
I found the staff very friendly and although my room was rather small it was comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Helpful staff and Comfy beds"
Great beds and freindly staff. Nice breakfast. Bathroom and workout room were small. A little far from the metro with luggage, but doable, and walkable to most offices downtown. Not a lot of food and drink options at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"lots of walking and cc charges"
This hotel is a little farther to the national mall than advertised and is on no easy bus/metro route so plan on allot of walking. It is on the $1 loop if going to Georgetown or the zoo. Also they charged or reserved over $400 on my credit card in 4 different charges even though we paid for the room through Expedia and paid cash for the parking upon […] arrival. "Comfort Inn convention Center D.C."
Excellent experience during stay. The staff could not have been more helpful in all areas. Fantastic breakfast. Quite well located for all the sights in D.C. Will return on next trip, for sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not great, but pretty nice"
This hotel wasn't glamorous, but was nice and clean. both at checkout and check-in there was only one person at the desk (very friendly) and one valet. It took 40 minutes to get our car in the morning. Some people had to wait longer. By the time we had waited about 10 minutes to check out, the line had gotten even longer and people probably had to wait […] at least twice that. For some reason our room didn't have a phone. I had to use my cell phone to call for my car. The rooms appeared to have been recently renovated and were clean and pretty nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, good price, well maintained"
It definitely lived up to the name "Comfort inn." The front desk people were all very helpful and nice. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to H and 1000, but it was ok. Breakfast was good, offering waffles, cereal, eggs, muffins and coffee as well as juice, etc., There were nice restaurants in nearby areas, within a block. The wi-fi was not very strong. […] The TV channels were messed up, but they sent someone to fix the problem very quickly. It would have been better if that had not been a problem. The place is well maintained and clean. It was definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located in a decent neighborhood and is within walking distance of the Capital Mall and several good eating places. Hotel staff was very friendly and my request for a late checkout was granted without hesitation. The bed was a bit too short for me at 6-1 and car parking is difficult to find. I would surely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Washington DC trip for Spring Break"
My daughter and I spend two lovely days in March in DC. We stayed at the Comfort Inn near the Convention Center. Hotel itself was nice. About 6 blocks from stuff to do and 3 from Metro. Lobby and room were HOT when we arrived but after we cranked up the A/C and went to dinner and Monuments is was nice and cool when we returned.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Would Recommend This Hotel"
If I had one complaint it would be the size of the room. It was extremely small. I mean if all you're concerned about is a place to sleep, then this is for you. Even with it being so small it wasn't that big of a deal. The free breakfast is great. Waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, cereal, juices, oatmeal and complimentary cookies and coffee in the lobby. […] The staff is very pleasant. Free wifi, valet parking, refrigerator, and other stuff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I plan to stay there again next year if we go to the Capital Hill Classic. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very clean rooms, corridors, gym. Great staff and service. Good complementary breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our stay at the Hotel was great. The staff was great. We got to check in early without any problems. The hotel is about 4/10 of a mile from the Convention Center metro stop. It was a very easy walk. The full breakfast included was very nice. The rooms are very small but updated and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"student attending a conference"
Breakfast is plentiful and good. Location is good and close to metro stations. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room size was small! Internet service was awful. Almost no continuous internet service!! Never plan to use hotel's internet service for your critical activities. Regardless of internet, every thing else was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quite good hotel"

"Conference at the Convention Center"
This hotel was perfect for me and my company to stay while putting a conference together at the Washington Convention Center. The rooms were nice, the staff was helpful and it was conveniently located. The only negative was that the high speed internet didn't work in my room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good DC Option"
DC Hotels tend to be overpriced in general. This is a good option, still centrally located and a few blocks from meto.Genuine Expedia guest review
My stay was pleasant. Your staff were all very professional and friendly. The room was quiet ( a nice surprise for a downtown location}. and I would definitely stay there again. I especially appreciated the lovely break room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Remodeled and ready to go"
This hotel has recently been completely remodeled and feels new and fresh. It includes an in-room refrigerator which was helpful for us. The breakfast is included and served in a smashing, modern room with a full array of food items. Impressive. The exercise room is well equipped and we used every day. It was conveniently located to the convention center […] for our purposes. It was an easy walk to the DC Mall and all the sites. The staff was most responsive. I requested a bath mat for our room. Although the remodeling didn't leave them with one on site, they purchased one by the end of the day and had it there for my bath the next morning. Most impressive! My only concern was that the room we had was a bit small for two; perfect for one. Just ask about the room size for your needs, but don't hesitate on this gem. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel on 13th NW and M street"
The location of this Comfort Inn hotel is quite convenient, 10-minute brisk walk to Washington Monument. The room is nice and clean with free wifi. The breakfast is also very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Booked this hotel because it was close to two metros going into D.C. Very convenient. Surrounding area is nice, but had trouble finding affordable dining. Rooms were small but great for our one night stay and day trip in D.C. Room was very clean: great AC, fridge, and bathroom. Elevator was slow but some parts of the hotel are under construction so […] it was fine. Free breakfast was good: waffle maker, cereals, fruit, muffins, donuts, tea, coffee, bagels. Staff was great; was able to check in at noon instead of 3pm and they let us keep our car there till 6pm after we checked out at 11am. Definitely would recommend. Use the D.C. metro, it's great to get around without wasting gas and the $9 day pass is awesome. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Hotel - I went there based on reviews"
After reading reviews on hotels.com and tripadvisor, we decided to stay at this hotel for two nights. We booked two nights at this hotel for a visit to Washington DC. The hotel is under renovation but we barely noticed it and the work that has been done is impressive. The lobby, breakfast room and our rooms were very clean and attractive. The desk staff […] helped us with directions and restaurants nearby, which I will also do reviews on and were very good. The neighborhood was the type where we walked and felt safe, better than even downtown where the panhandlers were. We enjoyed our stay, saw things we never saw before and I was glad to stay here. Thanks to hotel staff people, Noemi and Kyle. The internet was fast and free and the room had a large new flat screen tv. The breakfast was excellent. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean but not convenient"
The biggest drawback here was the distance to things like the convention center and restaurants. It was too far to walk in most cases so we spent a lot on cab fare. But the hotel itself was very nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pros - location to convention center, cost, breakfast, friendliness of staff Cons - rooms a bit aged (curtains, beds) - sofa bed horrible - problems with keys working - fitness center off site and really inaccessible -steps at entrance - difficult when carrying luggage and no staff to help with luggage -elevator slowGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean, comfortable place to stay"
Clean, comfortable rooms. The exceptional customer service, especially the friendly manager, made the stay much better. The location of the hotel is between 2 metro stops (convention center and mcphearson square), so it's still a short walk away. Although the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, I never felt unsafe walking back to my hotel at night. It's […] close enough to the national mall and other sightseeing places that you can walk if you want. Hotel's continental breakfast has a fairly good selection and even allows you to make your own waffles. The only thing that brought my rating of the hotel down is the fact that they are (still) doing construction throughout the hotel - front desk/lobby area and ripping out carpets on my floor. Also, my room originally didn't have a fridge in it when I checked in, but a day later, they entered my room (without asking) and put in the mini-fridge. I would have appreciated them asking me before coming into my room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
