"TERRIFIC SKI IN SKI OUT!"
VERY COMFORTABLE 2 BEDROOM CONDO. KITCHEN WAS NICELY FURNISHED. THE COUCH WAS ROOMY FOR ALL TO SIT ON AND ENJOY. WE DID HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THE TV IN THE ONE BEDROOM TO WORK. (WE DIDN'T NEED TO HAVE IT FORTUNATELY) GREAT LOCATION FOR SKI IN/ SKI OUT. LOVELY OUTDOOR POOL AND JACUZZI. WE'VE STAYED HERE BEFORE AND HOPE TO RETURN.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Going to Mammoth? This is THE place to stay!"
Wow! This was our first visit to Juniper Springs and to say that it exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. To be able to wake up, roll out of bed, put your ski wear on, and walk to a chairlift in under 5 minutes would seem to be impossible...but it's not here. Complimentary shuttle service to the Village, 3 jacuzzis, a heated pool to […] 87 degrees, full-size refrigerator with all of the kitchen amenities you would hope for, and a superb king-size bed made our stay all the more fantastic. Of course, the discounted rate that we found on Hotels.Com made the stay even better! Seriously, I couldn't imagine a better place to stay if you are going to Mammoth Mountain. "Great spot but in need of updates"
This is a WONDERFUL place. Location cant be beat. It is the most convenient location in Mammoth and as close to ski in ski out as you can get. However Juniper Springs is starting to show its age (about 15 I think now) and needs upgrades/maintenance. Our room was super but toilet ran and ran and didnt flush right. Main room heat is controlled by gas […] fireplace but we had to have maintenance come up all 3 nights we were there to reset it-maintenance guys are great but when you have to tap the wiring and thermostat with flashlight to get heat working its clear things need some work These are condos that are individually owned so I am not sure how much control the hotel has over owners. We willl stay here again but the price/value match is way down. Great spot though! Just wish they'd do some work Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect winter retreat."
Great location. Extremely close to restaurants and shopping. Walking distance to ski lifts.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Juniper springs is so convenient to the slopes. Despite the poor snow in Mammoth at the time of our stay, we were still right on the slope at Eagle Lodge which had plenty of snow at the lift and for the ski school area. We had a second floor room and the ski rental was right on the floor below, the lockers down the hallway past the coffee shop and out […] to the slopes. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Loved everything about the place!"
We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo with a pool view facing south-west. Unlike most other properties, the pool view rooms also have the best views of the Eastern Sierra mountains. The views were great from both the living room and the bedroom. We loved the convenient indoor parking provision. The rooms were spacious yet cosy. The couch and bed were comfortable. "Clean, quiet, and comfortable"
We stayed here on Saturday 10/20. It's the best week for fall colors but not many people are there. Probably only 10-15% of rooms are occupied. My apology for being critical. I will only list items that need to be noticed or improved. Most items in kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, lobby, hallway, garage are excellent. Cons: - There is a $20 resort fee. […] Make sure you are aware of this when shopping for your room. - Only wired internet with cable provided at the front desk during check in, no wifi, in the room. Speed is good but may be limited to one connection. Wifi is available in the common lobby area. - room key didn't work initially but staff quickly provided another set and worked well. - One of window blinds not functional. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were in Mammoth to see the color change and it was perfect. The only down about Juniper Springs is that the beds are very hard and so makes sleeping a little difficult.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfort in the mountains"
The hotel is very clean, well taken care of, nice kitchenette area, gas fireplace, underground parking, decent gym. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only thing a little odd about the room was the size/layout where the bed was. It was a tight fit on either side of the bed, as it was sort of in it's own little nook, and that's where the […] small closet was too. If you're planning on being in Mammoth, everything is very close, not walking distance, but very short driving distance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was very spacious, clean and had full kitchen. There was no restaurants open since it was off season and about 2 miles to a shopping center. Forget it if you don't have car.Genuine Expedia guest review

Almost everything about the Hotel is very nice. My one complaint is that the Toilet was made too low and fills to high. Other than that the place is great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
By far the best place we have ever stayed . The location the views the friendly staff a wonderful experience and would recommend to our families and friends .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Spent a quick and much needed four days in the Mammoth area this September. We enjoyed the hotel very much and the area is phenomenal. The room was missing a window screen (maintenance corrected immediately) and had some problems with the electrical (a few bad switches). Unfortunately the Direct TV service was lousy, which wasn't much a problem since […] we didn't intend to watch much tv (my son would have liked a bit more Disney channel). We will be back again. "$22/day resort fee will be added to bill"
We stayed in a one bedroom condo. It was very spacious and comfortable. We had a full kitchen, including pots, pans, and all utensils. There wasn't any air conditioning. I expected to have AC for the rate I was paying. It got a bit warm when we were there (late August) so having AC would have been nice. Services were a bit spotty. They cleaned every […] day, but they didn't provide toilet paper when we ran out. I walked down to the service desk to ask for some. Same thing with the ground coffee for the coffee machine. No refills after you used your grounds. I supposed I could have asked, but it wasn't very good so we went to one of the local coffee shops. There isn't an on-site restaurant. The snack/coffee shop was closed when we were there. Of course, there are many options in Mammoth itself. One thing to note is that there is a $22/day resort fee. When you check-in they'll ask for your ID and credit card and sign something as usual. THEY WON'T TELL YOU THAT THERE'S A DAILY RESORT FEE. They'll tell you about it after you call them up and ask them about an extra charge on your credit card. They'll claim that they told you when you checked in (which didn't happen when I was there). "great place in summer and in winter"
clean rooms, great access to all facilities. was able to check in earlier with no issues.Genuine Expedia guest review
They charged an extra $20 a night resort fees. For what? This place is not a resort. It is a room and a hotel with a pool. What are the extra fees for? Also, the hotel staff was never at the front desk and, when they were there, did not answer questions helpfully at all. There is a great public bike path behind the hotel that we found on our own on […] our last day there. But when we had asked the hotel for recommendations on places to bike on arrival, they didn't even mention it!! Huh? There was also a terrible stink in the hallway for an entire day. It smelled like dirty diapers. Gross. Finally, I think that for a summer time trip you would be better served staying near the village or elsewhere. There is nothing special near Juniper Springs but the Eagle lift, which is not operational during the summer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Juniper Spring Resort - Vacation."
I liked the hotel. However, I cannot say I was 100% satisfied. The bad: No newspaper was provided, they have direct tv channels, but if you want to watch a movie, you are out of luck, you cannot rent a movie with direct tv and the movie channels are not available. They rent movies CDs, but old ones. Thank God I took my laptop and I'm subscribed to netflix. […] The internet is slow as a snail. The good: loved the swimming pool, and the 3 jacuzzi, very good rooms with kitchen and all you need to cook. Excellent location which is close to supermarkets, lakes, and bike trails. "Room temperature too warm!"
Room very accomodating for a longer stay in cooler months. We were there in August and the heat was on in the room and no way to turn off. No air conditioning. There were room fans available to pull in outside air. Temps turn cooler in evening , but room is stuffy and warm and takes too long to cool down. "Nice Hotel, great facilities"
We are typically only to do one night at a time. With the heated pools and fitness center, this made our (2 parents/adult and 2 children) trip enjoyable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Upon arrival, we discovered that our one-bedroom king suite was not only untidy (miscellaneous trash, loose change, and belongings scattered under the table and on the bathroom floor) but was not functional. Each room in the resort is owned personally by a private person/ family. The family had stored their belongings in one-half of the bedroom closet […] and had locked it. The water pressure in the shower was weak and the bathtub did not drain. The bath soap was cracked into little pieces and the floor had not been vacuumed. After repeated complaints to the desk attendants, and one hour of misery (and dreading having to stay there for three nights), we were transferred to a larger and cleaner room which we enjoyed very much. Long story short (too late I know), we will be tent-camping in the future to avoid the problems inherent in the renting of private spaces to the general public. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Mostly a nice stay"
Overall the room was clean and spacious. The only real issue was the heat. Our room wasn't air conditioned and even though it was cool outside, our room was hot. We had doors and windows open and the fans gong but it was still too warm for us. Also, we were on the 5th floor and they have little lights that ran all along the balcony that were meant to […] outline/highlight the hotel so we couldn't turn them off. So I spent the night with the windows open and balcony light streaming in. Again, a very nice place with a few issues they need to address. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, up in the mountains."
Great experience! Close to Yosemite National Park.Genuine Expedia guest review
We've known this hotel for many years yet never stayed a night. But when the forest fire near Mammoth Lakes - the Aspen Fire - forced a my family to take refuge from the smoke we decided to give this Mammoth Mountain run place a go. So glad we did. Everything was as advertized. The room was immaculate, spacious and clean. The pool area proved perfect […] for fun wanting kids and parents alike with warm water and an abundance of playmates in the main pool and relaxing bubbles in the two hot tubs. In the past we have shunned the 'Village' complex, finding the business there to be lacking quality. Not the case. Several good eateries have opened including Campo (Italian) and a decent BBQ smokehouse. While I still think better - both in price and quality- food can be found in town, the Village is making its way to the top and cannot be beat for ease. You can walk right out of the hotel pool area and on to the Village Mall. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice staff and room, but horrible bed"
The staff was very friendly and allowed us to cancel the second night of our reservation with no problem due to a fire about 25 miles away that caused a lot of smoke in the town. The room was nice and very clean- I was impressed that I felt comfortable using the dishes in the room. The appliances were very nice and super clean. My only complaint was […] the bed and pillows. the bed was very hard and the pillows were totally flat when I laid down. It made for a rough night that there was no air conditioning, which normally would not be needed because you can sleep with the windows open. But due to all the smoke, we either had to breath it all night or sleep in a hot room with windows closed-not their fault, but maybe there should be back up air conditioning. "Gorgeous views, excellent location"
We did a last minute booking for three nights in summer ,even though we wanted to book a vacation rental home. I must say we made the right decision. Juniper springs is an excellent place to stay in Mammoth. We booked a one bedroom condo. The views were just amazing from the balcony. The kitchen had everything you need to cook anything. From toaster, blender, coffee […] maker etc. The bedroom bed was comfortable ,but the sofa bed was not very comfortable. The house-keeping comes everyday in the morning. The pool and Jacuzzi were nice. Tried the jacuzzi and it was nice. The kids had a blast in pool. My only problem was the shower head. It was the old kind ,not the adjustable one and it sprayed water too far in the bathroom. But overall the place and the location is amazing. Would definitely go there again. Kid-friendly. The room had DVD player and cable TV. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Live and learn"
Was disappointed in this choice. Turns out each building is individually owned and then run by the staff where you check in. At $180/night plus the $20 resort fee, you had to go down to the building lobby to get wifi. Didn't have it in our room. The garbage under the kitchen sink had not been removed, couple dishes left in dishwasher, batteries in clock […] were dead, ring around the toilet bowl, light bulbs were very dim in every room. Windows are casement style so if you need to open any windows since there is no a/c and the room is stifling hot, you have to pull the shades ALL the way up. That allows you to enjoy all the outside noise from your night owl neighbors and early rising sun. Don't have to worry about catching up on any sleep here. There were lots of amenities in the room, including terry cloth bath robes and lots of kitchen supplies etc. Could have been such a fun stay if all the other stuff hadn't overshadowed it. They had 3 fans in the room, but they were noisy dimestore quality. I'd think twice about this place if I were you and spending $200/night!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Avoid this hotel even if it is free!"
This is the only hotel I ever stay in without an air-con, so the room get so hot day or night, and none of us can sleep at all, the beds and pillows are too soft it hurt the back the next day. Staff at front desk not helpful and can not answer most questions, you get a feeling that you are stuck and on your own, the additional charge of $20 per night […] upset us too, I have very hard time trying to understand why after paying for the room I still been charged $20 to stay there, cancelling room even before 72 hour meant you pat penalty of $50 to the hotel, it gave you a feeling that your wallet start burning the moment you are link to this hotel!!!! There are plenty of choice near Mammoth Lake, so I suggest you look elsewhere... The worst experience we have is, staff tell you the hotel is fully book and you do not have choice of room, yet the parking garage is 90% empty, so we felt cheated. "Juniper Springs Resort"
Room was nice, but disappointed to find no air conditioning. Temperatures when we stayed there were in the high eighties and there was no way to cool the room down. To make matters worse, there was a forest fire to the west that filled the air with heavy smoke. Since no A/C in the room, we were forced to leave the windows and doors open just to get […] some circulation of air that consequently made the room smokey as well. Facility provided a cheap oscillating fan in the bedroom that was totally inadequate to cool it down. Also disappointed to learn the resort has no restaurant on site other than a small coffee stand. Unless you plan to make your own meals in the room, you have to leave to find a place to eat. I'm sure this facility is fine during the winter months for people who are there to ski and are willing to bring their own food and cook in their meals in the room. This should be advertised as a condo facility because a hotel it definitely isn't. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The room was spacious but a little rundown. Toilet was dirty, shower had hair in it, and the coffee pot had not been cleaned. There was no place to eat, ad be aware of the $20 resort fee they gloss over when you check in. It was 97 degrees and this hotel has no Air Conditioning, only a small oscillating fan in the closet. We had to sleep with the balcony […] door open to get any rest it was so hot.
