"No Wi-Fi, no AC but you pay resort fee"
We booked for Juniper Resort and they send us at Sunstone ......where there was not wi-fi and no AC. Very disappointed !!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Spacey suite with nice view and facilities. Only problem is that there was no air condition, this place is more geared for snow time.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice place BUT no Wifi, don't know what the issue was, but for such a nice place the internet seems like a given.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"$20 daily fee probaby a better value in winter"
This site gives fair-ish warning about resort fee, $20 a DAY. *Very hard* to know the benefit of a fee before you've experienced what it's supposed to pay for. But when you're told by the front desk that it daily covers "heated, covered parking" and it's 86 degrees out, you gotta wonder. Especially when one fee-covered amenity is "self-parking". Some […] others: "Pool access". But you turn the knob and walk through the door. Fee is for...their insurance? Pool Towel Origami lessons for staff? One towel was a (guess!) yes! A mammoth. "Newspaper". For 20 bucks outta be the ubiquitous USA Today on my doorstep every AM. "Shuttle service". But only available 3:30pm-10:30pm. "Free DVDs". Don't lose one, it's another $20. They're outdated & few in number. Plus: "We only buy DVDs once a year." Now, the Room. Was upgraded to a one-bedroom. Why? vacancy! Huge property, but ALL guests seem to be on the same floor?! -- No AC. But! "There should be a fan in the closet. If there isn't one, let us know." Loud toilet. Tub/shower doesn't drain, so you're standing in water over your ankles in no time. Needs magnifier mirror and full-length mirror. Kitchen equipped with a coffee maker ($20 a day for packets of free coffee, powdered creamer, sweetener), full-size range, dishwasher, and fridge (wheezy). Few pots, pans, utensils. - No restaurant! Must dine out, grocery-shop, or use delivery service. -- Try elsewhere in summer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay..."
Was upgraded to a two bedroom suite from a one bedroom suite. Mammoth Lakes is a great area for hiking, biking, and all outdoors stuff. Also the town is very inviting to spend time at. Only bad side is the hallway doors slam when closed. Other than that a great experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Juniper Springs was a great place to prepare for/relax after my recent participation in the Mammoth Half Marathon. The tub was extra deep for soaking, the fireplace made for a relaxing afternoon and the area was incredibly quiet and peaceful. I didn't make as much use of the full kitchen as I could have, but it would be great for longer stays or small […] groups. The shuttle driver was very accommodating in driving and picking people up from area restaurants. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We visited this hotel on June 9, where the outside temps were in the eighties. Unfortunately, the temperatures inside were even higher as there was no air conditioning in our room. We spoke to another guest, who confirmed that the hotel was not equipped with cooling. We opened doors and windows, and the room became tolerable. The room was clean, neat, […] and otherwise comfortable...except that two smoke alarms woke us at 2 AM. Maintenance came up quickly, climbed onto our bed, and disconnected the alarms. There seemed to be an overall lack of maintenance...carpets were frayed, washing machines in the laundry room were defective, change machines did not work, and ice machines (in a hot hotel) on some floors did not function. We needed one bedroom condo since we had a18 month old son, so that we can have our own space after we put him down. And the kitchen enabled us to prepare our own breakfast, and some toddler food. Nice and clean, a bit smaller side. Got pool view. Bike trail/cross country ski trail one step outside of the building. The gym was good except there were […] no free weights. Pool is kinda small but heated well, and 3 jacuzzi. They had gas grills at poolside for guest use. Over all nice resort, it is not too big, they have parking garage as well. Will definitely go back! "Great Value in the Summer Season"
Juniper Springs Resort in a condo building managed by professional hotel staff. The units are individually owned and may vary in quality. Our unit - we were up-graded from a large Studio to a One Bedroom Suite - was very nice, equal to a Suite at a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton, but with full kitchen. Fairly convenient location in the summer, and perfect […] in the winter next to the main ski lift. We visited during "shoulder season," which has the advantage of being very cheap, though not all the hotel services are open - no restaurant in the hotel. This was not a problem, since Mammoth has many restaurant options. Hotel staff were very helpful. The property is "pet friendly", though not all units will accept pets. The high season winter rates are three or four times higher than "shoulder season" rates, which means that the property is a great value now, but not so great during Christmas/New Years. "Clean, older hotel."
My 2 bedroom 2 bath room was semi-clean and beds were very comfortable, but furnishings were old. The extra bedding provided in the closet was not clean. There was hair on one of the pillowcases on my bed. I didn't get to try the Jacuzzis since the pool area closed at 10 p.m., which I was surprised that they strictly enforced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice condo. Nice balcony that over looks mountain."
We came during the summer as a stop off in our trip. This was one of our favorite places to stay. Town a little slow in summerGenuine Expedia guest review
Convenient location after touring Yosemite. Nice covered parking, free movie rental, object to paying resort fee for same facilities as other hotels. No restaurant or bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel - reasonable reach of East Yosemite."
Very nice suite, sofa bed lacking as you'd expect. Friendly staff made restaurant recommendation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wish we had more time"
This was the last stop on a long trip home. The unit was an efficiency, but had a full kitchen and full bath. We would have been very comfortable staying for a full week. Everything was clean and inviting. The lobby and pool area was a great place to relax and unwind. Too bad they didn't provide some sort of breakfast,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Nice Rooms"
Our room was very nice with some great homey touches. The unit was very clean and overall the entire property was very nicely appointed. My only complaint would be that the water pressure was so low that it took forever to fill the tub and the shower stream was about 25% of what it should have been.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great place to stay"
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Location is simply awesome and close to other attractions. Can't wait to return during ski season.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great family place to stay"
Layout of room was exceptional for a family. Pool area great, hot tubs could have been a little cleaner!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Get Away"
Wonderful way to end a vacation. Beautiful view from our studio, clean and well cared for facilities. The only issue was no air conditioning and no screen on the balcony door. I would, however, recommend this location to anyone. I would love to stay there in the winter.Genuine Expedia guest review
We loved Juniper Springs. ... can't wait to go back. .. Everything was perfect and the staff was A+... I am super picky and I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family The FalconsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great weekend getaway!!"
Perfect place to get away from the Vegas heat and relax worry free for a couple days.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was not really clean. Dust bunnies in the tv cabinet in the bedroom. TV in bedroom didn't even work. Couch smelled like vomit. Obviously not an off season place to visit. If you don't go there to ski, you don't even need to go.Genuine Expedia guest review
I loved it! Receptionist was kind and helpful :). I found a perfect place to rest the mind and study for a school exam. The view left me at an Awe...ROMANTIC!, but also a place to enoy with children and friends. It is close to all the must see places yet far enough from the main shopping area. Thank you Juniper Springs!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome for a May trip to Yosemite."
It was actually a surprise judging from the star rating. Clean surroundings. The room was well kept despite being built in the 90s. Housekeeping wasn't that thourough though. They just cleaned the bathrooms and ran the dishwasher. The sofa pillows were still on the floor and crumbs the kids left weren't vacuumed.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very good location, and nice room. The only "problem" is that they charge a $20 "resort fee"....for which the only benefit I could ascertain is the pool and jacuzzi....Genuine Expedia guest review
Great place. Nicely appointed one bedrooms. Not huge but great space. The only problem here is that they have the heat on constantly and you must open the doors and windows to get the temps below 75 in the units (this is even after turning off the heating, turning on the AC, and allowing the rooms to cool down a little). It's not just our one unit--this […] happened the last time we stayed too. Bizarre. But if you can tolerate having a nice cool breeze from outside, it's the best place in Mammoth. "Peaceful holyday weekend? Yes!"
We stayed 3 nights. Our experience was great because we could relax and enjoy peacefully! We enjoyed the warm water of the swimming pool and Jacuzzi while cold and windy around us! The staff was helpful in finding us a great room with beautiful views! The room had everything we needed, not need to ask for anything!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Motorcycle Trip to Mammoth"
We had a great stay at Juniper Springs. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, and the room was comfortable. A full kitchen is always helpful should we choose to make our own breakfasts to get the day started on time. We needed to change our dates of stay due to the Tioga Pass being closed from winter conditions. The Front Desk Manager was incredibly […] helpful working with Expedia to make a last minute change to accommodate us. We would definitely stay at the Juniper Springs again. We surely will come back! Great ameneties and service!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our group LOVED Juniper Springs! The staff was awesome, especially Jackson! They have a courtsey shuttle that they can take you back and forth to the Village or wherever your party needs to go. That was awesome, to save from cab rides, as this hotel is about a mile off Main st. The condo was great. Clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen came in […] handy. We cooked breakfast each morning and they had everything we needed for cooking supplies! I highly recommend this place. Little Eagle was closed when we were there this last weekend, but that's Spring for ya. It would be awesome to go back mid winter and be able to strap in at the lift and take off right from the resort. LOVED!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dialed-in for families!!!"
No more smelly, musty, old 70's inspired mountain condos here! We wanted a place close to the chair lifts and family friendly. Juniper Springs was perfect for a family with kids. The rooms are comfortably and elegantly appointed. No schlepping of ski equipment or luggage, and everything was convenient and completely dialed-in for convenience. We walked […] less than 20 yards from the entrance of the hotel to the lift ticket window and ski rental place. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure was awesome, and it was quiet all night so that everyone was able to get a good night's sleep. The front desk staff was attentive, and when we had a Satellite TV connection problem, the maintenance guy arrived within 5 minutes of our call so that the kids could watch Spongebob Squarepants while the grownups relaxed with a glass of wine. We will be coming back to Juniper Springs again next season. AWESOME and worth it! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great slope-side hotel"
Great location right by Eagle Lodge and so convenient to have a kitchen. We drove and parking was nice and easy too. Staff was really friendly. The 3 jacuzzis got full even though there weren't that many people staying here in the spring but it wasn't too bad.. good people watching :) I recommend for a mellow, relaxing Mammoth trip.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Location, quality and service can't be beat"
When they say ski in and out they mean it. It's a 1 minute walk to the lift and they have a locker room on the first floor for skis. The room itself is wonderful - granite countertops, fireplace, fully stocked with kitchen items, comfortable bed and hot showers. The staff is incredibly helpful and come right away if there's a problem. Our fireplace […] door was dirty and they had the fireplace guy out the next day to fix it. Even offered to upgrade our room that first night. We will definitely stay here again - perfect Mammoth hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ultimate 'Ski in, Ski out ' resort."
Perfect for skiing, couldn't be closer to Eagle Lodge. The hotel is very comfortable, except for one small complaint that the room was very hot without turning on the heat. I had to open doors and windows to cool it down enough to sleep, and this was in January. Other than that Juniper Springs is great, personally I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else […] for a ski trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Best Place I've Stayed in Mammoth."
Very nice place! Although there was plenty of snow, you couldn't truly ski in & out, but it is just a short walk to the lift. Rooms are "cozy" but comfortable. We only saw, and used one pool and 3 hot tubs, although the website says two pools and six hot tubs. Not sure where the rest are? Everything about the resort is good, although it doesn't have […] an onsite restaurant. We had a two-bedroom, #302. It has a nice view, really good beds, and decent kitchen and baths. (No granite, though.) Water pressure in the shower was just adequate. Underground parking is heated to 60 degrees, which is good for your vehicle and whatever you leave in it. I will stay here again! "beautiful hotel, so comfortable"
The bed was really comfortable, and the fireplace made everything cozy. The large pool was heated, and there were three hot tubs. The view out the window was amazing. We were there in October, so I can only imagine how pretty it would be in ski season.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very clean, comfortable and quiet. I would recommend staying in this resort. We stayed in October to visit family in Lee Vining. There was just a little snow on the ground but the snow season had not begun yet. We only had a few complaints......dinning room table was missing a chair so we improvised and used an ice chest so we could all eat together […] at the table. Our room had no chairs on the balcony. We were told this was at the owners discretion. There was no cabinet to put groceries in but an empty wall where a cabinet should be. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo room 313. The kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes, pots and pans. Restaurants are pricey in the area so recommend bringing your own groceries or going a mile down the street to Vons. All the stores in town close up at 6:00 p.m. Overall It's a very nice place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed during off season so not many people around. Nice room. Fireplace was not working (maybe due to off season). Hotel maintenance came right away and started the pilot light. The worker was friendly and efficient. Just a short drive to restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review

The only negative was the noise. Construction above us and the thumping went on into the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Typical but well done winter resort"
One bedroom suite had a comfortable king bed and a surprisingly comfortable pullout. Clean and ready to use full kitchen. The staff was above on beyond courteous and quick to respond to any requests. No amenities with in walking distance but if you have a car Main St is close by.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room and area!"
The resort and room were wonderful!! It was more than expected and the staff was helpful. There was maintenance going on in the room assigned, but we were moved to another one without any problems.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed one night. I reserved and payed through Hotel.com. There were additional cost that I didn`t know. In addition to room charge, you have to pay resort fee, $20.00 + Tax , which sums $22.60.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was great. Secured underground parking. Pretty location. $20.00 resort fee should be shown in the advertised reservation price rather then added when you arrive. But overall I enjoyed myself very much and would recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was unhappy to be charged a resort fee of $25 per night . I was unaware that there would e any additional fees on top of my payment to Hotels.com.jGenuine Hotels.com guest review
