"A Nice Place to Stay"
Overall the hotel was very nice. However, there is no resturant so you must bring your own food if you wish to eat "at home" for breakfast or a snack. The room had no air conditioner and it was very stuffy, even with the windows wide open.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Juniper Spring Resort - Vacation."
I liked the hotel. However, I cannot say I was 100% satisfied. The bad: No newspaper was provided, they have direct tv channels, but if you want to watch a movie, you are out of luck, you cannot rent a movie with direct tv and the movie channels are not available. They rent movies CDs, but old ones. Thank God I took my laptop and I'm subscribed to netflix. […] The internet is slow as a snail. The good: loved the swimming pool, and the 3 jacuzzi, very good rooms with kitchen and all you need to cook. Excellent location which is close to supermarkets, lakes, and bike trails. "Great place to stay"
This is the second time I've stayed at Juniper Springs and I really like this place. The rooms are nice and spacious with many size options. The facilities are great with all the amenities you would want. The room was clean and well kept. I'll definitely stay here again next year for my annual bike trip to Mammoth.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room temperature too warm!"
Room very accomodating for a longer stay in cooler months. We were there in August and the heat was on in the room and no way to turn off. No air conditioning. There were room fans available to pull in outside air. Temps turn cooler in evening , but room is stuffy and warm and takes too long to cool down. Waste of resourses and not satisfied with not […] having option to adjust temperature to our liking. Bedroom TV did not work. Front desk didn't seem concerned about my complaint of the room temperature. Would recommend a stay or return when cooler temperatures prevail. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel, great facilities"
We are typically only to do one night at a time. With the heated pools and fitness center, this made our (2 parents/adult and 2 children) trip enjoyable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Upon arrival, we discovered that our one-bedroom king suite was not only untidy (miscellaneous trash, loose change, and belongings scattered under the table and on the bathroom floor) but was not functional. Each room in the resort is owned personally by a private person/ family. The family had stored their belongings in one-half of the bedroom closet […] and had locked it. The water pressure in the shower was weak and the bathtub did not drain. The bath soap was cracked into little pieces and the floor had not been vacuumed. After repeated complaints to the desk attendants, and one hour of misery (and dreading having to stay there for three nights), we were transferred to a larger and cleaner room which we enjoyed very much. Long story short (too late I know), we will be tent-camping in the future to avoid the problems inherent in the renting of private spaces to the general public. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A solid place to stay. Price was a little high at 219$ with a 20 dollar resort fee and crazy California tax. But did not do any research before getting there so not too upset. "Mostly a nice stay"
Overall the room was clean and spacious. The only real issue was the heat. Our room wasn't air conditioned and even though it was cool outside, our room was hot. We had doors and windows open and the fans gong but it was still too warm for us. Also, we were on the 5th floor and they have little lights that ran all along the balcony that were meant to […] outline/highlight the hotel so we couldn't turn them off. So I spent the night with the windows open and balcony light streaming in. Again, a very nice place with a few issues they need to address. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, up in the mountains."
Great experience! Close to Yosemite National Park.Genuine Expedia guest review
We've known this hotel for many years yet never stayed a night. But when the forest fire near Mammoth Lakes - the Aspen Fire - forced a my family to take refuge from the smoke we decided to give this Mammoth Mountain run place a go. So glad we did. Everything was as advertized. The room was immaculate, spacious and clean. The pool area proved perfect […] for fun wanting kids and parents alike with warm water and an abundance of playmates in the main pool and relaxing bubbles in the two hot tubs. In the past we have shunned the 'Village' complex, finding the business there to be lacking quality. Not the case. Several good eateries have opened including Campo (Italian) and a decent BBQ smokehouse. While I still think better - both in price and quality- food can be found in town, the Village is making its way to the top and cannot be beat for ease. You can walk right out of the hotel pool area and on to the Village Mall. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We were looking for a 4 people familly lodge with space, laundry and cooking facilities. JUNIPER has it all, friendly staff, weber bbq, pool and spa. "Very nice staff and room, but horrible bed"
The staff was very friendly and allowed us to cancel the second night of our reservation with no problem due to a fire about 25 miles away that caused a lot of smoke in the town. The room was nice and very clean- I was impressed that I felt comfortable using the dishes in the room. The appliances were very nice and super clean. My only complaint was […] the bed and pillows. the bed was very hard and the pillows were totally flat when I laid down. It made for a rough night that there was no air conditioning, which normally would not be needed because you can sleep with the windows open. But due to all the smoke, we either had to breath it all night or sleep in a hot room with windows closed-not their fault, but maybe there should be back up air conditioning. "Gorgeous views, excellent location"
We did a last minute booking for three nights in summer ,even though we wanted to book a vacation rental home. I must say we made the right decision. Juniper springs is an excellent place to stay in Mammoth. We booked a one bedroom condo. The views were just amazing from the balcony. The kitchen had everything you need to cook anything. From toaster, blender, coffee […] maker etc. The bedroom bed was comfortable ,but the sofa bed was not very comfortable. The house-keeping comes everyday in the morning. The pool and Jacuzzi were nice. Tried the jacuzzi and it was nice. The kids had a blast in pool. My only problem was the shower head. It was the old kind ,not the adjustable one and it sprayed water too far in the bathroom. But overall the place and the location is amazing. Would definitely go there again. Kid-friendly. The room had DVD player and cable TV. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Live and learn"
Was disappointed in this choice. Turns out each building is individually owned and then run by the staff where you check in. At $180/night plus the $20 resort fee, you had to go down to the building lobby to get wifi. Didn't have it in our room. The garbage under the kitchen sink had not been removed, couple dishes left in dishwasher, batteries in clock […] were dead, ring around the toilet bowl, light bulbs were very dim in every room. Windows are casement style so if you need to open any windows since there is no a/c and the room is stifling hot, you have to pull the shades ALL the way up. That allows you to enjoy all the outside noise from your night owl neighbors and early rising sun. Don't have to worry about catching up on any sleep here. There were lots of amenities in the room, including terry cloth bath robes and lots of kitchen supplies etc. Could have been such a fun stay if all the other stuff hadn't overshadowed it. They had 3 fans in the room, but they were noisy dimestore quality. I'd think twice about this place if I were you and spending $200/night!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Avoid this hotel even if it is free!"
This is the only hotel I ever stay in without an air-con, so the room get so hot day or night, and none of us can sleep at all, the beds and pillows are too soft it hurt the back the next day. Staff at front desk not helpful and can not answer most questions, you get a feeling that you are stuck and on your own, the additional charge of $20 per night […] upset us too, I have very hard time trying to understand why after paying for the room I still been charged $20 to stay there, cancelling room even before 72 hour meant you pat penalty of $50 to the hotel, it gave you a feeling that your wallet start burning the moment you are link to this hotel!!!! There are plenty of choice near Mammoth Lake, so I suggest you look elsewhere... The worst experience we have is, staff tell you the hotel is fully book and you do not have choice of room, yet the parking garage is 90% empty, so we felt cheated. Good -Town home is the way to go! Your view of Mammoth Valley is awesome. Close to several lakes with only 10min drive. Bad- $20 resort Fee, I don’t know what that is for? They have housekeeping but not worth the $20 a night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Juniper Springs Resort"
Room was nice, but disappointed to find no air conditioning. Temperatures when we stayed there were in the high eighties and there was no way to cool the room down. To make matters worse, there was a forest fire to the west that filled the air with heavy smoke. Since no A/C in the room, we were forced to leave the windows and doors open just to get […] some circulation of air that consequently made the room smokey as well. Facility provided a cheap oscillating fan in the bedroom that was totally inadequate to cool it down. Also disappointed to learn the resort has no restaurant on site other than a small coffee stand. Unless you plan to make your own meals in the room, you have to leave to find a place to eat. I'm sure this facility is fine during the winter months for people who are there to ski and are willing to bring their own food and cook in their meals in the room. This should be advertised as a condo facility because a hotel it definitely isn't. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Stay somewhere else, especially in the Summer!"
The room was spacious but a little rundown. Toilet was dirty, shower had hair in it, and the coffee pot had not been cleaned. There was no place to eat, ad be aware of the $20 resort fee they gloss over when you check in. It was 97 degrees and this hotel has no Air Conditioning, only a small oscillating fan in the closet. We had to sleep with the balcony […] door open to get any rest it was so hot. When I ran into another guest in the elevator the first thing he asked was if I had found another hotel yet cause he was going elsewhere, if we had stayed more than 1 night we would have done the same! Condo's are very nice but we had a few issues. Condo was clean but couch was small and uncomfortable. Staff was friendly and daily housekeeping appreciated. Very disappointed on first night because we had a fireplace and we brought wine to have a nice and romantic evening for my husbands birthday. Couldn't get the fireplace to turn on so I called the […] front desk. They said that due to it being summer they turn off the pilot lights because it heats up the room. Granted it is summer, but in the 40's at night. I asked them to turn it on because that is part of what I paid for. Kyle comes up and can't figure out how to turn it on but tells my husband if he wants to give it a try to go ahead. Not cool. I was pretty ticked off and it's a good thing I couldn't go on line at that time to give my review. Next morning a maintenance man shows up and I asked him "Does a pilot light REALLY cause that much of a heat up?" He said yes so I told him to forget it but that is something they should let you know before you pay the money for a fireplace. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

My wife and I came to Mammoth for a brief anniversary getaway after deciding that Lake Tahoe was too far. Very convenient property location: access to mammoth mountain and bike trails and golf course just off the property, yosemite shuttle even stops at the front door. Rooms have no a/c! "$20 daily fee probaby a better value in winter"
This site gives fair-ish warning about resort fee, $20 a DAY. *Very hard* to know the benefit of a fee before you've experienced what it's supposed to pay for. But when you're told by the front desk that it daily covers "heated, covered parking" and it's 86 degrees out, you gotta wonder. Especially when one fee-covered amenity is "self-parking". Some […] others: "Pool access". But you turn the knob and walk through the door. Fee is for...their insurance? Pool Towel Origami lessons for staff? One towel was a (guess!) yes! A mammoth. "Newspaper". For 20 bucks outta be the ubiquitous USA Today on my doorstep every AM. "Shuttle service". But only available 3:30pm-10:30pm. "Free DVDs". Don't lose one, it's another $20. They're outdated & few in number. Plus: "We only buy DVDs once a year." Now, the Room. Was upgraded to a one-bedroom. Why? vacancy! Huge property, but ALL guests seem to be on the same floor?! -- No AC. But! "There should be a fan in the closet. If there isn't one, let us know." Loud toilet. Tub/shower doesn't drain, so you're standing in water over your ankles in no time. Needs magnifier mirror and full-length mirror. Kitchen equipped with a coffee maker ($20 a day for packets of free coffee, powdered creamer, sweetener), full-size range, dishwasher, and fridge (wheezy). Few pots, pans, utensils. - No restaurant! Must dine out, grocery-shop, or use delivery service. -- Try elsewhere in summer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Value in the Summer Season"
Juniper Springs Resort in a condo building managed by professional hotel staff. The units are individually owned and may vary in quality. Our unit - we were up-graded from a large Studio to a One Bedroom Suite - was very nice, equal to a Suite at a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton, but with full kitchen. Fairly convenient location in the summer, and perfect […] in the winter next to the main ski lift. We visited during "shoulder season," which has the advantage of being very cheap, though not all the hotel services are open - no restaurant in the hotel. This was not a problem, since Mammoth has many restaurant options. Hotel staff were very helpful. The property is "pet friendly", though not all units will accept pets. The high season winter rates are three or four times higher than "shoulder season" rates, which means that the property is a great value now, but not so great during Christmas/New Years.
