"Mothers Day Gift"
I reserved the room for my mother for mothers day and she loved everything about it. Said the dinner was amazing. Wonderful breakfast and very peaceful. Just what she needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel, small and intimate with a personal touch. Pricey in terms of many other area hotesl , but you get what you pay for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Really nice, but surprised at check out"
I was surprised to be charged for my children when I checked out. I had booked/paid online through hotels.com. When I checked out there was an extra charge of $20 per night + tax for my children. The front desk staff told me it was because the online rates only include two adults. I have never had this happen before. I did indicate that there would […] be two adults and two children when I booked the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location next to York Harbor Beach"
Overall the rooms could use a refresh. Service and restaraunt are very good. Can't beat the view of the ocean from the restaurant. Rooms overlooking the parking lot are a bit of a let down, make sure you get ocean facing or at least upper floors.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fabulous location and views depending"
We went away for my sister's birthday weekend. The only disappointing point was the view from our room. We wanted a water view and our view was the parking lot. We called to ask for an upgrade, which typically is met with approval during off season at other hotels for no additional cost. Stage Neck offered the upgrade to a better view for an added 90. […] per night. That aside, the service was top notch and the accommodations comfortable. My sister raved about the bed and sheets. Location was great and the surroundings were quite lovely. The restaurant staff, bartenders, piano man, were especially key in this terrific review. The staff went above and beyond to provide great service. Really enjoyed the included brunch. =) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved this hotel. Excelent service, everyone was so friendly and willing to assist you in any way. The location was ideal. It is very closed to all you want to see in the York and Ogunquit Maine area. The food was excelent. Our only issue we had was the beds were full size instead of queen size.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stage Neck Inn"
This is a wonderful inn. From the views, to the rooms, to the spa. The only food I had was the buffet breakfast, but that was excellent. I would recommend this hotel, if you can afford it.Genuine Expedia guest review

The staff were attentive and responded to additional reasonable requests. Hot tub, heated pool and sauna made a cold, snowy mid February enjoyable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice enough old style charm"

This is a reasonable stay with a Classic Maine ocean view. Had a room facing the parking lot. Restaurant was good but not great. Buffet in the morning was excellent. Not a five star resort by any stretch and a bit pricey, but there are limited choices in York. Would consider the cliff house as an alternative if you want great views but it is not as centrally located to town.

We stayed at the Stage Neck Inn for our 23rd wedding anniversary. From the reservation process on the phone to the checkout, this is one of our tops for a stay. We had the room/dinner package and I highly recommend this. Our room was fabulous with a gorgeous view of the harbor. Dinner was excellent, 4 course meal with a piano playing in the background. The beach is great as it's "private" so not crowded at all. Breakfast in the morning was great as well with a good selection of foods and a beautiful view looking out towards the sea. We stay in York often and this was our first time at the Inn and what a difference from the stays at Long Sands/Short Sands. If you are looking for peaceful this is the place.
"Disappointing for the price"
06/20/14 Jane H London
On the plus side, the Stage Neck Inn is perfectly located on the sea near the pretty town of York, with a beautiful little garden and a lovely sheltered beach on the doorstep. Unfortunately, the hotel is priced as top-notch accommodation, and it really doesn't have the level of service and facilities to justify that. Another reviewer said that it hasn't changed in the past two decades, and this is exactly how it felt, with friendly but unprofessional service, uninspiring decor and average food at way-above average prices. It may have been the time of year, but clientele and staff were all fairly elderly, and there was a faintly institutional whiff in the dining room. Other good things - it was clean with a decent shower and the breakfast was lovely (American, rather than international). Oh, but they can't make a decent cup of tea!
"From Connecticut to Maine"

I made our reservation today, haven't stayed as yet, however the Reservation Clerk, Dawn, was tremendously helpful, very kind and courteous !!! She was very patient with me and helped me make my reservation quickly and efficiently talking to me about all the room options and prices. All I could think of was if this place is this wonderful BEFORE we get there, I can't wait to see the service and the Inn when we DO get there !!! Thank you again !!! The Hale's

We've been going to the Stage Neck Inn for over 20 years and can only say it is just as good today as it was years ago. The setting, the people, the food have not changed in the past two decades. We hope to keep going to Stage Neck for the next decade and recommend this wonderful hotel to all how go to Maine.

"Loved parts, hated parts. Makes for 3 stars."

We went to a wedding this past Friday, I will start out by saying the view is amazing. I could sit out on their lawn all day. The food was decent and the staff the served it were very nice. The wedding ceremony was outside, they set up a bar there. It was quite cold and people soon moved into the reception hall. They dismantled the outside bar and for an hour an a half had no bar going in the reception hall. People tried to get drinks in the restaurant bar and were rudely turned away. I have never been to a wedding where you couldn't get a drink. The drinks were also very pricey, they list a lot of money. I do not like either how the reception room was broken up in to separate rooms. We were off in a side room and didn't feel part of the wedding at all. The dance floor was also tiny.
"Luxury, ocean views, good staff"
05/18/14 Kay E Troy, New York
My husband and I stayed at the Stage Neck Inn for four nights. Our previous stay was at least 3 years ago. Thankfully, the place still has the luxury accoutrements we expect. The Inn is a little high priced, BUT well worth it. Our room was harbor-side with an ocean view. In addition to being lovely, it has a small sitting area with a sofa and 2 easy chairs that overlooks the harbor. Perfect for a relaxing afternoon of quiet ocean viewing. Service at the Inn is impeccable - competent and cordial. Breakfast is included and offers hot foods such as eggs, bacon, pancakes, as well continental breakfast foods - yogurt, fruit, cereals. We especially love the bar here. The bartenders know the classic drinks and obviously enjoy their work. The indoor swimming pool and hot tub are well maintained. It was a pretty quiet group of guests during our stay which we greatly appreciate being quiet people ourselves.
"Superb end to a wonderful trip"

We stayed at The Stage Neck Inn at the end of a 10 day autumn trip to New England. We were delighted with our choice. Two minutes from the hotel is a gorgeous beach & you can walk along a coastal path with great views. Rooms are spacious and have every comfort. Ours had a balcony overlooking an inlet into the harbour. Food at breakfast and dinner was excellent & staff couldn't do enough for you.
"Wonderful! Great staff, food and location - recommended!"

I visited the Stage Neck Inn for a mediumship workshop with John Holland. Pardon the pun, but in addition to communicating with those who have passed, we also found the Inn to be heavenly! The staff match or exceed any 5-star hotel in their efficiency, care and attention to detail. Special thanks to Wendy at registration, who was simply superb in helping me with a little matter that arose. Thank you too to the wonderful staff in the dining room, particularly the excellent person who made me iced coffee! The Stage Neck Inn is a model of gentility, with echoes of a time when guests came first. There is a welcome from every staff member that you meet, afternoon tea with scrumptious tea cakes in the afternoons, and great food - everything home made with care, nothing processed or microwaved. Loved the staff and the food! The rooms mostly have views of the water, which is on 3 sides of the hotel. I had a harborview room, and just loved hearing the water and seeing the boats go past. I highly recommend the Inn for a vacation or a meeting, and I plan to return with my family soon. Thank you to all the wonderful people at the Inn!
