Conveniently situated to train station and main attractions. Hotel is old but clean and offers all you need for your stay. Staff are really friendly and helpful, even noticed it was husbands birthday and offered free drinks at the bar, didn't charge us for postcards either. Try to make child friendly with play area. Great stay for priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"One night in Pisa"
Spent last night of our Italian tour at hotel La Pace. Traveled to hotel from airport after dropping off car. As train service is not operating until Dec 2015 had to use bus. Bus terminated on opposite side of train station to hotel or it seemed so. We should have used underpass on same side as bus stop to get across tracks. (We took the longer scenic […] route as directed by our GPS 8( ) Once at the main entrance of station hotel is only 5min away. Entrance to hotel is not very attractive but once inside all is well. "Secret 1-2 Night Budget Saver"
A European (HoJo) Howard Johnson / Bed & Breakfast. Clean but dated by US standards. Excellent conceirge service. Thank you Andrei & Georgina. We felt welcomed and valued. Steps away (200yds) from the bus & train lines. Less than 2 miles from Pisa airport. Spouse & I paid 1,3 euros each through PisaMover (citibus). Other guest paid 5 euros each for […] a taxi. On a budget, this fits!!! Ignore the vagrants in the front, they wont bother you unless you ask for directions. Shops & restaurants will tell you wherethe hotel is. Breakfast was delicious. "What you see is what you get"
Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights as part of a city break. Brilliant location for those who want to travel to surrounding cities such as Florence and Lucca; station was literally a minutes walk away. Staff in the hotel were lovely and had lots of knowledge about buses etc. Only fault is the condition of the hotel, some of the decor needs updating and […] the walls are very thin. However, considering the price we paid (230 for 2 people for 4 nights) we were very pleased and it was perfect for what we wanted. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very close to the railway station"
Good clean comfy hotel, with superb breakfastGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rude front desk, very noisy"
This is one to avoid. The man greeting us at the front desk was rude and unhelpful, the bed was very uncomfortable and the hotel is very noisy - every movement of other guests seems to be audible. Book elsewhere. The ladies on the front desk the next day were lovely and helpful though and the location was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central hotel close to station"
Used transport from airport arranged by hotel, could have used shuttle bus cheaper, but we found it very convenient and not too dear. Hotel fine for one night, but would not want to use it for a longer stay. Breakfast was not included and we did not have it. The hotel is very central and we had a comfortable night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A hidden jewel"
This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. It was within walking distance of everything and right by train station. Because it is located in what I would call an alley being raised in America, I was a little worried, but inside was fabulous. Old but beautiful. Our family of 5 had a 2 room suite which never happens in Europe. The beds were comfortable. […] The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything. They spoke fluent English. A quirky family-run feel to this hotel - in need of some updating but charming features such as object d'art (two English telephone boxes in reception) and original artwork everywhere. "I wanted a good enough hotel near to the station"
One night at the start of the holiday more than good enough- friendly, extremely clean, comfy beds, good showers. I intend to stay for 2 nights at the end as well, to continue to explore the many unsung delights of Pisa. Everywhere walkable from hotel and proximity to the station and airport make it invaluable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very close to Pisa railway station, which was definitively convenient. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. The only downside was the size of the bathroom - having a shower was complicated to say the least.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice hotel, near Pisa Central Station which is a little rough at night but an excellent little restaurant nearby called Pizzeria da Moise. The hotels staff were helpful & friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good priced hotel"
With the train station behind you, go straight, keeping to the left side of the road. After the station fountain but before the next road, on the left will be a passage way. The hotel is along there. You are greeted with fantasy figurines and a pleasant lobby with British red phone boxes and a sitting area. The staff are friendly and are happy to help […] with any tourist information you need. During my stay they had the world cup matches on. I was staying in a single room. The air conditioning was controlled on the panel of a radiator and was loose. You have Sky tv (though I didn't watch it), a desk and a stand to put your suitcase. The bathroom had some chipping in the paint work but that is a bit nit-picky. The shower is large and it is easy to control the water/temperature. Breakfast was included in my booking. It is a bit of everything, having elements of a British breakfast, ceral/yogurt and continental style items. The pastry selection was varied. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Most helpful and friendly staff - ever!"
A pleasant and comfortable hotel worthy of 3 stars. It's location is only 2/3 minutes walk from the railway station and airport service bus stop, ideal for late arrival or early departure. However, it's unlucky in that during the day dubious looking youths and men congregate in the arcade where the hotel entrance is and in the adjacent street. They […] turned out to be no problem and had dispersed by early evening, never-the-less, I think a woman on her own would not be comfortable about it. We weren't looking for 5 star accommodation so had no disappointments with what the hotel provided. The main thing is that it was clean, the water was always hot, towels were changed daily and the eat all you want breakfast offered a wide variety of fare. Best of all was the reception staff, they spoke impeccable English, were so friendly and helpful, in fact they were the best we've ever encountered in all our years of holidaying. Things to know:- No Tea / Coffee maker in the rooms. No room safes but available at reception. Has air-conditioning. Hairdryers provided. Free Wi-Fi. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable and pleasant, would come again"
The hotel is convenient for the station, yet surprisingly quiet. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. Room was very comfortable. The only downside was the poor air conditioning. Next time I would take a mosquito net and leave the windows open. Breakfast was superb, catering for all tastes. Location is typical railway area, but did not feel threatening. "Great stay, friendly staff and nice breakfast!"
We stayed here for two nights. It's so close to the station, some random men hanging around outside but they didn't bother us - they didn't even take any notice of us! Staff were so helpful and friendly. Aircon was perfect as it was so hot - at 12pm one night it stopped working but the man got it sorted within 10 mins. The rooms are a decent size, they […] are a bit old school but we didn't spend much time in them anyway so it didn't matter. The breakfast was vast, so much to choose from with a little children's play area too. It's 2 mins from the shops and about 20 mins to the leaning tower. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Poor Internet, no drinking water, no tea/coffee"
Be careful with their internet service they ask you to logon using your social networks. I suspect your personal information maybe used for marketing purpose. When I asked them provide me alternate method they will say this is what we offer. I had to argue with them to provide me a proper username and password. The room is very ordinary, no mini-bar […] fridge, complementary water / tea/ coffee inside the room. The buffet breakfast did not have attention to details. The milk in the cappuccino was off. "Nice three star hotel with excellent staff"
The Hotel La Pace is a good value three star hotel in Pisa. As some other reviewers have mentioned, there are indeed a few people hanging around in the passage way that leads to it, but they were no problem to us. The staff at reception were excellent, being welcoming, friendly and helpful. We arrived well before the check-in time of 14.00pm but they […] safely stored our bags for us whilst we went out for some lunch and upon our return allowed us to check-in half an hour early. Although rather dated, our economy twin bedded room was fine for our one night stay. From the description of hotel amenities we were expecting an in-room safe. Although it turned out that there was not one, we were offered use of a safe in reception. For just one night we didn’t bother. There was however a nice modern art painting in our room and there are nice works of art throughout the hotel. This makes the reception and foyer area especially most pleasant. For anyone from England feeling homesick, there are also two red telephone boxes in the foyer. Breakfast was very good, with an excellent selection of both hot and cold food. As we had an evening flight back to the UK, upon check-out we were again allowed to store our bags in a secure locked room, whilst we explored more of Pisa. The customer care at this hotel is impressive. Their staff seem to genuinely care for their guests. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We were arriving to Pisa on an evening flight and needed a hotel to stay in overnight, before taking an early train out of town. Hotel La Pace was perfect, being literally a few steps from the entrance to the train station. It's not the prettiest (faded 70s decor, etc), but it was clean and the rooms were perfectly comfortable. It was also pretty good […] value. I'd recommend it if you want to be close to the train station, and actually, it's not too bad for the city centre. We wandered over there for our dinner and it was quite a nice walk, even at night. Very friendly and helpful staff. Really close to airport and train station - stayed here for a night between late flight arrival and getting train the next morning. Decent breakfast too. Not that close to the main sights thoughGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Location For Station"
we were on an overnights stay before heading to Florence so we wanted something close to station and this hotel was just that. It was just a 5 minute walk and very easy to find. The hotel suited our needs, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast in the morning although beans and mushrooms had run out and this was something we paid extra for on the […] morning. The staff were very friendly and we could not fault the place other than if we were visiting the sights we would have preferred to have been on the other side of the river as it was approx. 20 minute walk to the leaning tower. However, arriving as a stopover and wanting to be close to the station this would be an ideal choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed here five years ago for two nights in transit to the Isle of Elba, and this time visited for six nights, using it as a base. Every day we travelled by train to different places.....Lucca, Siena, Portofino, Florence and Viareggio..Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location for those who wish to travel by bus"
Train station is 150m away so could walk to the hotel La Pace. Trips by local bus to Lucca and Viareggio were only 3 euro single and the bus stop was within 250m. Didn't bother with hotel breakfast (though I was advised it was very good) but the bar La Cicala opposite the bus stop did great coffee and croissants for 5 euro's (for two persons). Restraunts […] on the south end of the tower do a good reasonable tourist menu but beware the bars just outside the wall amongst the souvenir stalls as they are expensive. Best ice cream is in the square by the main bridge that leads down to the station. getting to the airport we were quoted 13-18 euros however the LAM Rosso (orange bus every 10 minutes at the station) does it for 1.30 euros each and it takes no more than 5 minutes. May appear that we were trying to do Pisa on the cheap but we like to mix with the locals, try out our basic Italian and generally see how they go about their lives. The location of the hotel right next to the train station is ideal. You can look around Pisa in a day so if you are staying for longer a trip on the train to Florence is well worth it. "Very close to train station"
The main reason for my booking of this hotel is its proximity to the train station. The reception staff greeted me warmly upon my arrival, patiently explained details of my stay and recommended places to visit. The room I stayed is definitely not newly renovated.
