"Days Inn quickly going Downhill into the dregs."
The minute the doors open to the lobby you are smacked in the face of intense curry. And I mean weeks and weeks of curry smell mixed with dirty carpets in the hallways. The person at the front desk tried to give us a room that had an air conditioner that sounded like a jet engine with a wrench rattling a round in it. We got into the second room and […] wouldn't dare sit on the couch. It had stains on it that looked like someone peed right there. It was 99 degrees out so we went to the pool. There were literally 2 lounge chairs and 2 plastic chairs. The place is in total disrepair and the people running this place don't seem to care. It is not a Days Inn standard motel. I think Days Inn should see how their motel is being represented. Chips of paint everywhere, old and grungy funk in every corner plus the added curry smell. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Would probably stay again."
Check in was easy but didn't find the receptionist especially friendly. I believe it was the end of her shift as I went back to the desk a few minutes later to ask a question and someone else was working the desk. I had booked two nights and had left towels on bathroom floor to be replaced the first morning I was there. No one ever came near my room […] and I didn't get more towels while I was there. Bed didn't get made and waste baskets were never emptied. To bad attention to detail doesn't seem to be a priority. The hotel is in a convenient location and I enjoyed the area. I would stay again, however, next time I'll speak up if necessary. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Don't let the outside deceive you"
The hotel was extremely out of date.. It smelled from the second you walked in the door.. We did not have hot water and when we told them at the front desk they did not seem to care. It wa very disappointing over all. We will never stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was gross on the inside. It was so dirty. We had to be moved to two different rooms because the heat did not work, and it was 8 degrees out. Finally we checked out without staying due to the 2nd room we were moved two had hair all in the bathroom and a foul smell and no heat again. We had to find another hotel. Never been so disgusted in my […] life. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I reserved 3 non smoking rooms , when we arrived on Friday nite we were told the non smoking rooms were all taken. The manager did accommodate after an hour or so. Better to call ahead prior to arriving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good value for the price"
we were surprised by the size of the room. although this hotel can use some sprucing up it was a pleasure to have as much room as we did. i requested an early check-in the day before and they were too happy to accomodate me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I wouldn't stay there again. Room was depressing. Bathroom was ugly and cheesy. For what it's worth this place should be half their rate. Breakfast food was terrible. we left without takingn any food. Tasted coffee ...it was like hot, brown water. Donut tasted old..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This stay was horrible...the staff was nasty...the room was filthy....and the hotel smelled like curry...nasty nasty nasty....they offered a continental breakfast and they had a member of the staff standing in the room telling what and how much you can eat and stopped us from bringing a cup of coffee or tea back to our room.....We will never stay in […] this or any Days Inn ever again........ "Comfortable but had a pool"
Hotel looks new on the photos, which is why I booked it. It's not. Slightly jaded air about the place. Comfortable & room huge with separate lounge. Air con noisy as heel so had to switch off in the night. Corridors dingy. BUT it has an outdoor pool and with the temperatures outside at 95F it was really nice to go and cool down. For the price, worth […] it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We were in town for one night, which we made reservations for in advance. When you searching for a hotel near the casino you expect a hotel "near" the casinos. It is not near the casinos. It is in fact a 20 minute drive to the casinos on really windey roads! Now! The hotel was good. We checked in and because of the reservation we made on the internet it was a stress free process. The room was nice and included a small microwave and dorm fridge. The room also had an additional space (like a small lounge), with a Hide-A-Bed couch and a TV in it. Downside, breakfast was run really early and ended really early. On a Sunday people like to laze around and not have to rush. Especially if they spent the night at the casinos. Needless to say we missed breakfast because of the time they set it for. Walmart and Stop and shop are across the street, which is really convenient. The place is quiet, and not to far from the highway. We'll visit again.
"Nice for a night."
Stayed here on our way back to RI to bring my daughter back to school. Huge room (suite), for the price it was great. Close to shopping and easy on and off the highway. Only complaint was the tiny pillows they use. If you want a regular size pillow or have a large head, beware!!

We picked this place as a getaway for new year's eve celebration. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and super nice, as well as very helpful. We stayed in the king bed Jacuzzi suite and the size of the room was fantastic, along with the separate room with a pull out couch which was cozy. There was also a kitchenette which was nice and spacious. There was plenty of space, the rooms were very clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed at the Days Inn in Groton CT for New Years Eve. While deciding which hotel we would stay at I called directly to see if there was shuttle service to and from the casino that night. I was assured there was. During check in we asked how the shuttle service worked and I was handed a list of 4 cab companies. It cost 60 dollars to get to and from the casino. I was furious. Speaking to another guest at the hotel at breakfast the next day who was in for New York said that they were told the same exact thing. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. I am also very lucky that I brought my own hair dryer because the one in the bathroom did not work. Also the fan in the bathroom did not work. The heat was cranked way up in the room when we got there it felt like a sauna and had to open the windows IN DECEMBER to cool it down and air it out. I do have to say the rooms are very spacious and very very clean. If they did in fact have shuttle service I would plan on staying there again for going to an outing at the casino.
"Lost in Groton"

Days Inn is a customer-centered, caring motel chain that maintains high standards of cleanliness and service. It is also an inexpensive alternative to New York City hotels that can cost 3 times as much. The Days Inn in Groton, CT, however, proved difficult to approach, as it has a rear entrance (not highly visible) that, if you miss it, is apt to lead you back on I-95. Once I found how to get in, everything was up to the usual standard.

We got the king bed Jacuzzi suite. The size of the room was awesome. More like an apartment. Separate room with a pull out couch bed, 2 chairs and a tv. Kitchenette with a table and 2 chairs. Then there was a bedroom with a king sized comfortable bed. The bathroom had the Jacuzzi tub...my fiancé used it but it really didn't have much pressure coming from the jets, so really it was an oversized tub, not really a Jacuzzi. Other than that the room was perfect. Close to the casinos and good price.
"Disgusting and not worth it"

Could not shut the lights off in the room. Had to unscrew light bulbs. Doors to rooms in suite were broken and could not close. Found a used tissue under the covers when we went to bed.

The hotel was disappointing; although a great rate and we were given a suite, it was cold and uninviting with little character; the continental breakfast could best be described as very basic and meagre at the best.
"Nice Place to stay"

An affordable, clean, convenient stay. Staff is cordial and helpful. Ample parking and all rooms have refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast bar consisted of coffee, tea, juices, toast, waffle, apples, and mini muffins. Next door to Five Guys - yummy. Wal Mart across the street.
