Very outdate, but for the price one night was not that bad.Genuine Expedia guest review
I reserved 3 non smoking rooms , when we arrived on Friday nite we were told the non smoking rooms were all taken. The manager did accommodate after an hour or so. Better to call ahead prior to arriving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good value for the price"
we were surprised by the size of the room. although this hotel can use some sprucing up it was a pleasure to have as much room as we did. i requested an early check-in the day before and they were too happy to accomodate me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I wouldn't stay there again. Room was depressing. Bathroom was ugly and cheesy. For what it's worth this place should be half their rate. Breakfast food was terrible. we left without takingn any food. Tasted coffee ...it was like hot, brown water. Donut tasted old..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This stay was horrible...the staff was nasty...the room was filthy....and the hotel smelled like curry...nasty nasty nasty....they offered a continental breakfast and they had a member of the staff standing in the room telling what and how much you can eat and stopped us from bringing a cup of coffee or tea back to our room.....We will never stay in […] this or any Days Inn ever again........ The room wasn't clean. The sheets had stains on them and so did the towels. The shower worked horriable. The bed was very uncomfortable. Wasn't satified at all.would never stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Days Inn Hotel - Groton, CT"
As stated earlier, the innkeeper/manager was extremely rude to guests and employees alike! He reprimanded many employees & guests in front of other guests. He was very short and abrupt with everyone. We stayed at this hotel a year ago and he had the same attitude then. When we realized we had a reservation with the same hotel as before, we were unable […] to change/cancel our reservation. Needless to say, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Management was friendly. I just felt my room was outdated, not to mention the rusty shower curtain rod. Glad we stayed for one night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable but had a pool"
Hotel looks new on the photos, which is why I booked it. It's not. Slightly jaded air about the place. Comfortable & room huge with separate lounge. Air con noisy as heel so had to switch off in the night. Corridors dingy. BUT it has an outdoor pool and with the temperatures outside at 95F it was really nice to go and cool down. For the price, worth […] it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Lost in Groton"

Days Inn is a customer-centered, caring motel chain that maintains high standards of cleanliness and service. It is also an inexpensive alternative to New York City hotels that can cost 3 times as much. The Days Inn in Groton, CT, however, proved difficult to approach, as it has a rear entrance (not highly visible) that, if you miss it, is apt to lead you back on I-95. Once I found how to get in, everything was up to the usual standard.

We got the king bed Jacuzzi suite. The size of the room was awesome. More like an apartment. Separate room with a pull out couch bed, 2 chairs and a tv. Kitchenette with a table and 2 chairs. Then there was a bedroom with a king sized comfortable bed. The bathroom had the Jacuzzi tub...my fiancé used it but it really didn't have much pressure coming from the jets, so really it was an oversized tub, not really a Jacuzzi. Other than that the room was perfect. Close to the casinos and good price.
"Disgusting and not worth it"

Could not shut the lights off in the room. Had to unscrew light bulbs. Doors to rooms in suite were broken and could not close. Found a used tissue under the covers when we went to bed.

The hotel was disappointing; although a great rate and we were given a suite, it was cold and uninviting with little character; the continental breakfast could best be described as very basic and meagre at the best.
"Nice Place to stay"

An affordable, clean, convenient stay. Staff is cordial and helpful. Ample parking and all rooms have refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast bar consisted of coffee, tea, juices, toast, waffle, apples, and mini muffins. Next door to Five Guys - yummy. Wal Mart across the street.
"Large rooms not very clean"

Basic accommodation for the DIY guest. There was a full kitchen but no pots, pans, dish towels, dish soap, etc. The coffee cups had some sort of crud inside. Beds were made daily and towels replaced daily. Carpet not vacuumed once during our stay. Drain in bathtub drained very, very slowly. We left as soon as we could find another place with vacancy.

The room was clean and was a suite format (separate bedroom). The gentleman at check-in was very courteous and pleasant. The hotel is close enough to Mohegan to make hotel expense worthwhile.. The hotel seems a little older but for our purposes was perfectly fine.
"Good location, good value."

The hotel is an excellent location, within 20 minutes of Mohegan Sun Casino. It was a really nice two room suite, complete with small refrigerator and microwave oven. If I'm ever in that area again, I would not hesitate to stay there.

I read the reviews after I had booked and was a little uncertain as to what we would find. I booked due to the price. Was pleased with the room- a queen non-smoking suite. A lot bigger than I had expected. It looked like it had been repainted recently. Bathroom was clean and everything worked well. The couch looked a little worn, but we had a refrigerator, microwave oven and sink in the kitchen area. Our room was very quiet, in fact I didn't hear anyone else on the floor. The only fault I found was as mentioned before- the continental breakfast was adequate - two types of dry cereal, waffles (four small ones), toast, small blueberry muffins (Like box store types),coffee, tea, orange juice and apple juice. They did have apples on the second day and some hot oatmeal packets on the second day. The people who worked there were very friendly.
"A great price, but..."

This hotel was offering a $74/night rate and provided a fine place to sleep, however light sleepers beware...the ceiling is paper thin and amplifies the smallest sounds coming from upstairs. Aside from the lack of sleep, the location is close to downtown Mystic and offers a free breakfast.
