"VERY RUN DOWN"
I would NOT recommend this Days Inn to anyone. The "lobby" smelled, the room smelled. The bathroom exhaust fan was hanging out of the ceiling. There was a large hole near the base of the tub, and lest someone forget where they were staying, "THE DAYS INN" was carved across the front of the in-room refrigerator. Even though I paid for my room thru hotels.com, […] they required a copy of my credit card for "incidentals." After actually getting a look at our room, I can't for the life of me figure out what possible incidentals I could be charged for. There are much better places to stay in the area. Try the Best Western - it was a very pleasant place to stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I thought the hotel would be a lot better. One of the smoke detectors in the room was missing, had to wait 10 minutes at the front desk at check in (because the check in person was no where to be found), the hotel had a strange smell, very outdated, there were stains on the sheets.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Day's Inn for a 15 minute ride to Mohegun Sun"
Our stay was pleasant. The tub was disgusting and the iron was attached to the ironing board, but we were pleased with our overall stay. I would recommend staying here for a stay that's not too far from various sights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a good choice"
The hallways were very hot. The room smelled of urine and the moth balls in the bathroom did nothing to hide the smell. Looked like vagrants living there and wandering around outside. Doors propped open all night. Free breakfast was worth about as much as it cost!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, BUT"
Location was great and price was reasonable, but owners seem to not know the meaning of the word "maintenance". Just a little TLC would change my rating from 3 to 5.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent: but great deal at the right price"
The room was renovated recently, its nice, but you can tell it wasn't always. It smelled of mothballs in the bathroom (gross!!) and the temperature dial was broken in the bedroom, so it got very cold at night. Also the breakfast is not top quality, frozen waffles, bagels, eng. muffins, cereal and mini-donuts. only 2 toasters. but great shopping/eatery […] area. and for one night, a great deal. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The room was very nice. The property was older and could use some renovations, but we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Room was so dirty! There was feces in the toilet when we checked in, old chicken bones on the microwave, dirt on the rug, cobwebs. Filthy gross!

I will not stay at this hotel again. The room was hot when we arrived, the a/c was not turn on. The clothes rack and towel rack was loose. No big deal, I turn the a/c cool the room, didn't use the clothes rack. The room was clean I must say, however upon arriving back in for the night my bed was not made or any fresh towels.

Room service was unsatisfactory, had to ask for service and bed was not made, not enough towels.

I'm never booking here again. I had reserved a room here through Expedia at least 2 weeks in advance for the Avril Lavigne concert at Foxwoods and when I arrived with my friend to check in, they told me computers had made a mistake and overbooked so we didn't have a room there. Instead they made arrangements for us at a different location (an Econolodge) but with the same type of room and amenities. It doesn't make sense that they couldn't inform us in advance that there was a problem. A gentleman that checked in right before me had the same situation and was offered a discount for his troubles, whereas the girl as the front desk seemed to just brush my friend and I off with an apology, which I think it was unfair and not a proper way of handling the situation. In addition, the room they booked for us at Econolodge was a smoking room because there was a terrible scent lingering in the air and cigarette burns all over the blankets/sheets, when we had SPECIFICALLY booked a NON-SMOKING room at the original hotel. I'm definitely never ever coming back to this location again after what happened this past weekend.
"Good Value, Location"

I stayed here for one night during a last-minute Foxwoods trip. Overall, it was a good value for what we paid, and I would definitely recommend this place for casino-goers and families on a budget. THE GOOD: - Front desk staff members were very polite. - Room was HUGE. If you book the "Hot Tub Suite," it comes with a separate living room and full kitchen (oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator/freezer, cabinet space). This would be ideal for families with lots of kids. Jacuzzi Tub is an unexpected mini luxury. - There's a Walmart and Stop'n'Shop right across the street. - Very affordable room rates. - Convenient location. Foxwoods is only 20 minutes away. THE BAD: - Room was outdated. It wasn't "dirty," but we did find a stray hair on the pillowcase, and the tub faucet was broken/leaky. - Mattress was stiff and somewhat uncomfortable. - Free breakfast was what you'd expect for free- not bad, but not very good either. They had a waffle maker, but by 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning, they were out of waffle batter. - Although there's a Walmart and grocery store across the street, both are closed by 10 p.m. on the weekends, and there are no 24/7 convenience stores within a 1-mile radius. If you come home late from a night at Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun, make sure to stock up on post-gambling refreshments at the gas station near the casino. This hotel had a few vending machines, but that's it.

"Good for the price"

Nothing great or bad about this place. clean and average kept up. If you are looking for a place to sleep for a low price, this place works. A little below average on the breakfast, but oK. I'm not that picky.

Front desk and staff very friendly but upkeep and actual hotel was in fair condition. Really needs an upgrade and remodel! Thought price, especially weekend rates were a little high for the quality.

Passing thru on the way to MA. Very nice place. Understand has some age to the property but well kept and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast area small but well managed. All and all good times.
