"An overall good stay"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 23, 2013he Floris Hotel turned out to be a very good value as compared to others in and around main sightseeing part of Brugge. The staff were friendly and helpful. Be sure to call to reserve parking as the website did not specify that requirement. We parked on the street and, due to some misinformation, received a 30 euro ticket. The beds are comfortable, but are actually two twins pushed together instead of the double we expected. The rooms are larger than I'm accustomed to in Europe. Breakfast is hot and provided a good start to our three days. One of the outstanding qualities is the provisions for families travelling with children. They provided a crib for my granddaughter on request. There is also a large play area just off of the lobby that allowed us to watch my grandson play while we enjoyed breakfast. It is a short 10 minute walk to the market area with a stroller and a walking 3 year old. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and recommend The Floris as a very comfortable stay and a good value.

I was in the city for just a couple of nights, did not eat in the restaurant or use the wellness center, but the room itself was bright, clean, very comfortable. Bathroom was a revelation - walk-in shower and a heated floor. Figuring out the lights and room temperature control was a little confusing, but easy to use once sorted. The hotel is just off the center of the old city, getting around couldn't be easier. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the decor is over the top and fabulous, plenty of appealing common rooms to curl up in during the evening. I was a little surprised that a hotel of this size would have only one computer in their business center, but I didn't need to use it. Great (and free) wifi connection in the room. I loved my visit to Ghent, and the Reylof was a big part of that. Would definitely come back!

The location is about a two minute walk from the main square and all the shops and restaurents. The breakfast is a really great addition to the room as well. The only con is that the wifi only works on the first floor. We would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Booked here for the fitness room (which was the most disapointing feature of the hotel and we didn't use) but enjoyed our stay nonetheless. Room was clean and comfortable, great breakfast, nice bar/lounge. Front desk staff not very friendly but efficient and helpful. Great location and free wi-fi.

"Dejligt hotel"
Bådhotellet er charmerende og hyggeligt. Personalet er meget hjælpsomt og venligt. Beliggenheden i forhold til Brügges centrum er perfekt. Går man gennem parken, der ligger tæt ved hotellet, tager det 10 - 15 minutter at nå til centrum - på cykel 5 minutter. Les chambres ont la taille d'une cabine de bateau mais on s'éveille sur l'eau, parmi les canards et face la forêt. Pour accéder au centre historique, on n'a que 5 à 8 minutes de traversée d'un parc à pied. Proche aussi de la gare, pour peu qu'on ne soit pas trop chargé, sinon, 4 à 5 euros de taxi. Wer mal nicht 0815 übernachten will, ist hier genau richtig. Das Bootshotel ist wirklich originell und gemütlich ausgestattet, die Zimmer sehr schön mit guten Betten. Das Frühstück ist top! Sehr reichhaltig mit äusserst aufmerksamen Personal. Auch den Gratisparkplatz wussten wir zu schätzen. Das Hotel-Konzept und die Einrichtung unseres Zimmers haben uns wirklich gut gefallen. Nur sind Boot und Möbel langsam in die Jahre gekommen und hätten eine Renovierung dringend nötig. Das hübsch eingerichtete Zimmer wurde leider durch den permanenten unangenehmen Geruch aus dem Badezimmer getrübt, evt. betraf dies aber nur unser Zimmer. Zumindest das […] Badezimmer mit altem PVC-Boden und alter Dusch-Kabine sollte einmal grundrenoviert werden. Aufgrund des geringen Platzangebots unseres Zimmers mussten wir mit unseren Koffern etwas improvisieren. Es gibt aber auch größere Zimmer. Das Frühstück war der Hotelkategorie entsprechend umfangreich. Man nimmt es im freundlich eingerichteten Hotel-Restaurant quasi gemeinsam mit Enten und Möwen ein, die auf der anderen Seite der Fenster auf Leckerbissen warten. Die Lage des Hotels ist günstig für Ausflüge per pedes in Brügges Stadtzentrum. Habiamos leido que se encontraron cucarachas en la cama,no llegamos a este extremo,pero la habitacion dejaba mucho que desear,la ducha estaba rota la mampara,el baño olia super mal,en la fachada externa habia telarañas del Jurasico,las maderas que decoraban la pared estaban llenas de manchas,la cama eran 2 colchones unidos y era imposible acercarse […] a tu pareja porque estaban vencidos y te caias para afuera,las paredes parecian de papel,tuvimos que llamar la atencion a los de al lado pq parecia que estaban dentro de tu habitcion,,lo unico bueno de este hotel es su ssituacion,ya que a menos de 10 minutos estas en todo el centro,eso si preparaos porque ha no ser qu comais en los llamados Frites os saldra por un ojo la cena( minimo hemos pagado mas de ochenta e,eramos mi pareja y yo)toda la ciudad parece que se ha puesto de acuerdo para los precios,en fin que si quereis pasar una buen rato os aconsejo busqueis otro hotel,no es nada recomendable a no ser que os de igual la higiene. Das Boathotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Innenstadt und den Sehenswürdigkeiten, wir waren innerhallb von 10 Minuten am Großen Markt. Die Rezeption ist sehr zuvorkommend und verfügt über viele Sprachen(Deutsch,Niederländisch,Französisch,Englisch). Die Parkplätze waren bei unserer Ankuft alle belegt, uns wurde jedoch einer direkt neben dem Hotel […] oragnisiert. Das Zimmer war sauber,ebenso wie das Bad, jedoch wurde im Flur nicht so gründlich greinigt (Kaugummi lag 3 Tage auf der Ablage neben unserem Zimmer) In allem aber sauber und ordentlich. Das Ambiente ist natürlich unschlagbar. Es ist sehr lohnenswert das Boot eigene Restaurant zu testen, es schmeckt super. Das Frühstücksbuffet war unberschaubar,aber ausreichend. Mal etwas anderes. Übernachten auf einem Boot mit schöner Atmosphäre am Rande des historischen Stadtkerns. Fast alle Zimmer haben die Aussicht auf den Kanal wo einen Morgens die vorbei schwimmenden Enten wecken. Lustig ist auch das auf dem Bett Schwimmwesten liegen (na ja , man ist halt auf einem Boot). Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis (inkl. Frühstück). […] Für einen zwei oder drei Tage Trip ist dieses Hotel wärmstens zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.
