If paying 300 Euros were not enough, wifi is 20 more, breakfast is 24... and the coffee in paper cups in the buffet is not very good. Over 30 years of travel and 100 nights a year, and I rarely stay in corporate venues: they charge for early in- or late check-outs, in-room coffee, airport limos... they smile and explain it is company policy, not their […] wish at all. It is highway robbery conducted by attractive pickpockets and enjoyed by expense account travelers. The actualities: It's a nice building at the front of the city. the physical plant needs work- the wooden window frames fit poorly, the energy efficiency would be low and the street noise was present all the time. The double room was two twins pushed together, and the duvet covers were too small, so even though I'm only 70 Kgs, it was not possible to stay covered I'd' have stayed anywhere else, but the city seemed to be full. We had three adults and were given a corner room that had a small living area in addition to room in the corner turret (where the cot was placed). Le Meridien is a fabulous high end hotel. We arrived with our two young children and got the impression that they were not welcome. If you want a snooty hotel, this is it. The Hotel is located right outside the Train Station and on the other side, across the street from the entrance to the Old Town. Our room had a window that opened, which we always appreciate and a good view of the Old Medieval Tower. Or pehraps the problem is that they are fixing the pavement all along the street infront of the Hotel and therefore it becomes difficult to access the hotel and pehraps because of this the guests have diminished. The breakfast is also priced very highly and so if you do not have your breakfast included in your fare, it is better to eat some where else. There are plenty of places in the Old Town. We did like the fresh apples that we could get in the front desk after we came back from our long days. They charged for the use of the Business Center (computer), so that was odd since most other places provided the service for free. I was surprised by the amount of noise coming from the street. It seemed that there were ambulances and patrols driving by and making noise at all times. This lovely hotel is in the best location in Nuremberg ... easy access to trams and trains and the old town. Wonderful staff and lovely accommodations. (Only complaint in April was that it was warm outside and the rooms where a little warm since the air conditioning was not turned on yet.)

I've stayed at the Le Meridien several times, in the big suite with the living room and in the deluxe 2 person suite and had my brother in a single room. The valet service is convenient but keep in mind it costs 17 euros per day and you are charged additionally each time the valet fetches your car. In the big suite everything was good, I had no complaints. […] I regret that internet is not free as it should be in a 5 star hotel (in my opinion). Also, the deluxe suite and the single room did not have slippers. The glass see through door on the bathroom door in the deluxe suite makes it awkward to use the bathroom if you have guests and even with your spouse in the room this is an awkward set up. Location and convenience is top notch here for my frequent trips to Nurnberg but as in most all hotels in Germany they are still behind other countries in some aspects of comfort and inclusive services. Also, I had booked online for the deluxe suite with a king size bed and it ended up being a queen size bed and by the time I noticed we had already unpacked so I didn't mention it. The hotel was across the street from the Christmas Market which is why we were in Nuremberg. Everything was perfect with the room and facilities and staff. We were early and the room wasn't ready, but they stored our luggage until it was ready. The only minor item was that they charge per day for television.

The room was HUGE and of a beautiful standard and the location (for us travelling from the train station) was unbeatable. Overall a very good hotel. Usual problem in Germany of not having a decent firm pillow (only feather down). Breakfast was not included and costed €22 per person. We did not breakfast there but instead ate at "Der Beck" (cafe / backery open from 6:30am) which is 100m from the hotel in the direction of the city centre.

There seemed to be a bit of confusion at check in regarding rooms, and the baggage we had also checked in earlier in the day until the room available was muddled up with someone elses, so generally check in was quite confusing. The hotel location was perfect for the city centre and tram and underground and only 15mins from the airport. まず、フロントの女性が愛想があってホッとする。建物自体は、古いようだが、古くささはなく、ドアを手動で開ける古めかしいエレベーターも趣があってよかった。部屋は広くはないが、１泊するには十分の広さ。セントラル駅の真ん前でわかりやすく、食事をするにも周辺にはたくさんレスロランがあった。なかなかいいホテルでした。

ホテル全体、ロビー、客室、レストランの質感はすばらしい。Nurembergでは一番良いのでは。ただ、寒いドイツの冬にしては、部屋の暖房に難点があった。到着1時間経っても部屋が暖かくならず、追加のヒーターを入れてもらった。そのときのサービスはとても良かったが、お陰でちょっと風邪を引きそうになった。あと、古いせいかシャワーが使いにくかった。ガラス扉の位置が悪く、普通に浴びただけで室内にお湯が飛び散るので、注意が必要。最後に、2着あったバスローブの1着がかなり汚れていたので、使う気にならなかった。
