"Ultimate in convenience."
Picked up rental equipment and lift tickets right in the lobby. Right across from the bottom of the gondola and main lodge. Went with my son who isn't picky on rooms. All we needed to be was close to the lifts and a big screen TV. We had both. It's just as easy to go back to your room as it is to stop at the main lodge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worst hotel stay ever"
The Mammoth Mountain Inn may be conveniently located, however, our accommodations were horrible. DO NOT ACCEPT ROOMS 451-466. These rooms are attached to the indoor parking and everyone used the hall as a passageway. Hotel guests checking in after 11pm were RUDE and could be heard going through the hallway until about 2am, when it finally became quieter. […] Even a band with equipment just walked through (I followed them) at 12:45am. Pets are allowed and we ended up with a howling dog next door. We had to record it to get out of our last night's stay. Ski tuning rooms were only available to ski teams, so if we were to stay again I would use the ironing board. Instead of an enjoyable 4 night stay we ended up with two nights of no sleep and leaving early. My family skis EVERY week-end throughout California and Colorado during the winter season and this was by far the worst hotel accommodations we have ever had. I will not stay there again and will try Tamarack or Juniper when returning. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"We had a wonderful time. Staff was very friendly."
The bar restaurant didn't have enough waiters and my son ordered mac and cheese on Wed night March 26tha dn he got pasta with sauce, very weird. Other than that the food was excellent, service a bit lacking because of storm, or not enough staff. Overall the food was amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review
Two minute walk to the chair lift. The double bed option will be located in the yodler Hoff wing which is older and kinda dirty. Although the beds are new and very comfortable! Overall a nice place. Next time I would upgrade to stay in the main hotel which is much nicer. Fyi. Expect to pay an additional $20+ per night in resort feesGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Run down Hotel - Over $80 in HIDEN FEES"
This could be a pleasant hotel. It is in an excellent location, just steps from the lifts. Unfortunately its a run down hotel with no investment, the building is getting old and it could do with a renewal. Although I pre-paid my room I was charged over $80 for some "resort fee" when I checked-in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room nice. Maid service sketchy., hit n miss. Parking good. Facility nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old but very well maintained and comfortable"
As most of the reviews say the hotel is dated. But, it is very well maintained and comfortable. The beds and bedding are new, comfortable and clean. There are new flat screen TVs with an excellent selection of channels and the wifi works great. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient. The maids did an excellent job. For my discounted midweek […] rate I thought the hotel was a very good value. I would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent Location / Staff. Could use some upkeep."
I would go again, room was a bit beat, but I went there to ski. Common areas were nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs updating but the price is right"
We stayed at the Yodeler. I am ambivalent about asking Mammoth Mountain Inn to update their old rooms. They are definitely no frills, but as a result, it is a bargain compared to Juniper Springs or the Village.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ski in Ski out"
I've been to Mammoth many times since 2009, and I've stayed in places ranging from hotels to condos near the village base. I've stayed at the Mammoth Inn before, so this stay wasn't a surprise. I like Mammoth Inn and what I get for the price. The employees were extremely courteous and helpful as always. This stay stands out somewhat, because I have […] trouble sleeping with noises - like creaking or people walking above me, etc. This time, for some reason, the people staying above us were moving all night long. For anyone who has stayed here, you know that the walls seem/are very thin, so you're going to hear noises from your next door (and above) neighbors. Anyway, staff were so friendly and offered me an upgrade and room on a higher floor. [To be clear, I wasn't looking for a handout. I just wanted a different room.] I'm sure the type of upgrade they offered me cannot be accommodated when the hotel is full, or perhaps on weekends, but the courteousness of staff, and the fact that it was offered without me asking, just stood out for me this time. As far as the rest of the stay, if you like to ski or board, the location is great. Rooms seem to be invariably clean. And the little general store inside the hotel with food and coffee is a big plus. I'd stay here again, especially during the week. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mammoth Mtn Inn"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mammoth Mtn Inn. We would definitely come back next season. I liked how they had everything at the lodge. You can get your lift tickets, gear and lessons(recommended) all in one place. Looking forward to next season.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Staff made our visit to Mammoth great"
Wife and I were celebrating my 30th birthday. The staff (who didn't know it was my birthday) at Mammoth Mountain Inn was great, I specifically remember Tyler going above and beyond on all 3 nights we were there. At one point, he even ensured that we got on the next shuttle going to the Village and we weren't even yet in the lobby. His attitude was extremely […] pleasant even though some of our questions were unbearably "touristy," "self-explanatory" and high-maintenance in general (I'm not pointing any fingers for such questions, but I mentioned I had a wife, right?). Anyway, I can't wait to get back there...it is quite literally "Resort Style Living" Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Upon checking in, I was surprised by a mandatory 20 dollar resort fee for parking and internet! Later I found out that the 20 dollars is per night on top of the 200 dollar deposit for incidentals, which cannot be used as a credit for your room charges. When I got into the hotel room, there was hair in the sink and bobby pins all over the ground. I called […] up to the desk and was told that I couldn't change rooms- no reason given. The breakfast menu inside the room had incorrect prices. When I told the restaurant manager about the menu, she denied its existence and then blamed house keeping. The last Morning it took an hour to get eggs and toast. We tried to put it on the room and our server told us that there was an issue and the front desk told her they were too busy to fix it. We ended up just paying cash. When I checked out, the front desk asked me to pay again for the breakfast. After telling them that I paid it in cash, they told me that they needed to charge my card and when the paperwork caught up they would credit my account. After refusing to allow the charges, they called the restaurant and got a busboy to flip through receipts til they found my paid check. The location was great, but other than that it was a waste of money for the quality of service and amenities. Save yourself some money and headache and just stay somewhere in town by the gondola. "Run down property; convenient to slopes"
This is an old, poorly maintained property. Do not believe the "refurbished rooms" story. New bed linens and new televisions, but same dirty carpeting, poor heating system and crummy bathrooms. "Nice hotel with a very nice staff."
After we arrived we parked right at the entrance. No difficulty in parking the rental car and no line checking in. The bellman took our luggage to our room. Later I needed a bottle opener for the duration of our stay and the bellman found one that we were able to use. When we needed extra shampoo the room cleaners provided us with more. The airline […] lost my luggage so when they eventually dropped it off at the hotel the bellman called first to alert me and then brought it to my room. Even when the covered parking lot was full we were able to find parking near our room. The four hot tubs were a bonus along with the pool. "Medium quality hotel"
This Hotel was adequate but didn't live up to it's reputation. Hotel staff was very nice but always short handed and busy. It was hard to get a question answered by phone or get service. Room was average overall with fairly new furniture, bed was good, TV was very good, but wifi was slow. Had problems with tub controls and room heater was very loud. […] Facility in general was old and worn. Elevators were inconveniently located, hard to find (no signs) and felt a little shakey. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location!!! Great Staff!!"
Great location, only steps to the Main Lodge, Gondola and Chair lift. The Staff is excellent and they go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience, they offer a free shuttle service into town once in town its just a quick phone call and they will come and pick you up. "ok but not great"
i've stayed at Mammoth Mountain inn a few times, mostly for the location. The hotel itself is very dated and there is not much to do after ski.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have wanted to stay at the main lodge for a while. I thought they had upgraded the area to make it more of a destination, and a good alternative to staying in town. Maybe it was the lack of business due to the poor snow season, but there were no restaurants open for breakfast, and we did not even try for dinner. We had to walk across the street to […] the lodge to eat in the cafeteria. We stayed in an older wing, and the rooms were very small. The beds were comfortable, and the Jacuzzi in the other building was great. There is a free shuttle service to town that we took advantage of - you had to go to town to do anything, but that was about the only highlight. there is a $20/night resort fee that was definitely pushing it. When I go back, I will be staying in town somewhere like I usually do. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Main Lodge Lifts"
The stay was comfortable and it is right next to the gondola and several lifts. The rates were reasonable (at least compared to comprable places to stay). "Close to Lift."
My overall experience was decent I love the location right in the heart of Mammoth. Some things that weren't 5 stars worthy were the parking garage was very small if you weren't lucky enough to park in the first row upon entering the garage the spaces were way too small to maneuver a car into specially if you have an SUV like myself. Secondly the Rooms […] were a bit dated I believe they should upgrade the Room heating and A/C system it was very old and worked when it felt like so the entire night we slept semi cold without heat. It finally kicked in at 6am and still didn't generate enough heat to heat the room. Third, the prices for room service were a bit too pricey but I guess you expect that in Mammoth. I Recommend you eat out. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Skiing Mammoth Mt."
I love the location and convenience of this hotel. However, I will probably not stay there again because of the following: 1. The WIFI does not work. The room is small, but the bed was actually very comfortable, but overall I won't give it a recommendation. There is no thermostat to adjust room temp, it got stuffy but the windows are screwed shut. Must be miserable in the summer so there is a fan in the closet. There was no suitcase stand, no refrigerator, broken bathroom heater, and the noisest […] bathroom fan I've had in any hotel room. To top it off, after prepaying through expedia they chargeds us $45.00 at check out for a "resort fee". I must have missed the fine print, but I've never had to pay a "resort fee" before. "Five mile drive to village activities"
The Inn is an old established deluxe (?) hotel at a very popular ski resort. The fact that it is 'old' is its biggest drawback. It needs refurbishing. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. We were supposed to ride motorcycles, but with rain/hail/snow, good thing we took the car. If it winter and you want to ski, this is the place to get a room. Rooms were very comfortable, heat/AC worked just fine. Beware, there is a $30 resort fee attached to your bill.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful hotel and exceptionally good restaurant"
The hotel was perfect. The front desk staff was very nice. The hotel was very cozy and and the lodge theme was a nice break from our hectic Bay area life. The dinner was amazing. "Friendly Staff and a Wonderful Room"
Our first impression was that we had driven too far and had arrived in the Tyrolean Alps. The Hotel and surrounding buildings give you that rustic, European feel of a well maintained, older structure. We arrived a bit early and the front desk got us checked in quickly and even upgraded our room to a magnificent suite. Since we were here for a sporting […] event, we also requested a late departure which was granted without any issues. A great staff and nice accommodations. First, the only annoying thing: there's $22 tacked onto your bill when you get there for a "Resort Charge." We only stayed one night, so I don't know if that's each night or for the entire stay, but might be something to consider when your selecting your lodging. Now the great stuff: I had booked a room with two double beds, but we got a room with a […] king-size bed and a loft with two single beds -- basically a very comfortable room for four! And it was right across the street from the ski lift! So we have the ski lift in front, the forest (with a hiking trail) in the back, and mountains all around. It's a beautiful location. The inn is appropriately furnished like a forest lodge and the bar overlooks the ski lift area. We saw many guests who had been hiking or mountain biking down the ski hills. "Expensive night's sleep"
If all you are after is sleep, it is an expensive way to get it. If you have ever been to Europe and experienced the bare bones facilities there you have the feel for this place. From the ads I thought it was a chateau like setting but it was a very basic room. It looks like the hiking might be good but it is an expensive way to get it. Breakfast was […] overpriced, bathroom was small. I don't think this place has been redone in a very long time. AND if you arrive after dark just keep driving on the unmarked road for a looong time. We stayed here because there were 8 of us and the room suited our needs. The kitchen supplies left something to be desired. 16 wine glasses and 5 forks! No large pot for pasta or chili or anything that requires more than a saucepot to cook. Also, while there was a corkscrew (to go with the wine glasses) no bottle opener was to be found! Not real fond […] of the $20.00 per day "fee" for pool use and sketchy internet connection. We were here in the summer, so the close proximity to the ski area didn't do us any good, but would consider it if we ever were there during the winter.
