Internet $9 a day - only in lobby - terrible functionality - everyone complaining. Too busy at front desks and store most of the time. No Cellular service at all. Had to walk to pay phone at campground down the street. Fridges in room but very limited "store" of food/snacks. Coke machine near room out of all stock.

The hotel is conveniently located near Yosemite. My room was good and the bed was comfortable. Note, no cellphone access at hotel and WiFi access is very expensive and only available in hotel lobby. Still, a good choice of hotels if you aren't staying inside the park.

The girl at check in was not very welcoming. There was no wifi, no cell phone service, tv reception came and WENT, only 1 ice machine in whole complex was working. The room was very comfortable and clean however.

I stayed here during summer last time and knew sort of what to expect. The hotel is close enough to West entrance of Yosemite which is a good thing. But this time I stayed here in April and found hotel ice machine unplugged. No complimentary wireless service either. Other than that it is comfortable stay.

The people who work the front desk were very bland, boring, and over all not very friendly. The food from the bar and grill, and the restaurant, were both very underwhelming. Good enough for a 2 night stay to visit Yosemite Valley, but I would have gotten really bored of the food after that. Breakfast buffet was just okay. They have board games that […] you can check out at the front desk, but the games we got all had some missing pieces. There is a small arcade there for kids, but half the games didn't work. Ultimately this is not a hotel you go to in order to be pampered. You go here to sleep, and spend the rest of the time in Yosemite, or on the Merced River. They do have a cool beach right across the street, on the river. I would only recommend this place if there were deals on the rooms. Read more

This hotel is everything you need it to be, and nothing more. It's in a great location if you are looking to get easily in and out of Yosemite Valley, as we were, but there's not much else going for it. It's very basic- but let's be honest: you're not coming here to hang out at your hotel, right?? The rooms are clean and the fridge is helpful, since […] the restaurant is all fried food (not our thing). We were really glad we brought our own food, which we wouldn't have been able to do without the fridge. The staff is very helpful and friendly, even if the company policy seems to be to nickle-and-dime you to death (internet, charges for long-distance calls, even if no one picks up, full day rate for late check out). Note also that this is not a place you should plan on getting work done or staying connected: there is no cell phone service, and the internet only works in the lobby, and you have to pay for it. We were disappointed with the lack of variety of restaurants. The Bar and Grill's food was good but WAY over priced. Amusement park prices. Wi-fi available but way over priced as well, considering there was no cell phone reception. The room was nice and so was the indoor pool. Decent place to stay if you can't afford to stay in the park.

The hotel rooms were a little outdated with poor lighting. Rooms were a decent size and comfortable. We did not utilize the pools but they did look to be well maintained. The restaurant's food and service was at most a 2 out of 5. The selection was very limited and the food ordered was ok at best yet extremely expensive for what we ordered. For the […] price of the food I would have at least expected the food to be good and have a waitress to take our order and bring us our beverages. Our stay was very confortable and enjoyable. The proximity of Cedar lodge to Yosemite is the reason we booked this hotel. The surrounding as very scenic and it takes just 15 mins to reach yosemite. The room had a nice spa tub, which we enjoyed a lot. The bed was a little hard, but we got used to it.

This hotel has many conveniences (gift shop/grocery, on site restaurant). The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was well kept but the bed was lumpy and the heater and fridge were so loud that I wasn't able to sleep. This would be a great place if they replaced the mattresses and updated the heating units and appliances.

The rooms are clean but the hotel service is horrible! 1. Internet is provided by third party so you have to pay 10.00 to use it but it is only available in the lobby, you can't use it in your own room. 2. They have 1 microwave in the whole hotel, which there was a huge line over 20 min wait just to use it. They have a "convenience store" which they […] mark up everything 5x more than it would really be in a regular store. 3. We asked 3 times is they could fill thier hot water kettle because it was out of water, they never did. Instead they were telling the customers to get water out of the bathroom sink because the racist front counter lady said "it's drinkable!". I say racist because she treated the Japanese tourist with an awful discriminating attitude 4. Out of the 2 keys for the room, only one worked. I went twice to get this corrected and each time same thing, I gave up! I've paid for way cheaper hotels and got better hotel amenities and better service. That place is a nightmare. Read more

We took a family trip to yosemite and stayed at cedar lodge. I loved the patio in the back. The staff was so helpful. Our tire went flat and they helped us get it fixed. The rooms are very big and comfy. Equipped with a fridge and coffee maker. Huge bathroom. We all will definitly stay there for our spring and summer trips.

Very convenient to Yosemite, but poorly maintained. Room 205 had a shower knob that barely worked-- hot and cold were opposite, hard to pull on or shut off. The shower curtain was splattered with something red, presumably not blood but still a disturbing site for a place nicknamed Murder Motel. Room was large and comfortable. Room was toasty when we got in, which was nice initially because it was so cold outside. Eventually it felt too warm so I had to turn down heat and kept the fan on all night to keep the temperature comfortable. The fan noise did not bother me, and I slept very well. Convenient distance from Yosemite for an overnight stay. Room lighting was dim. We had to ask front desk for a hair dryer. The restaurant was more like a hamburger shop. But it was late November and there appeared to be a larger dinning area, which is probably open during summer months. For our short one night stay it was OK.

When I complained about paint smell due to recent renovation, the front desk found another room for me immediately and moved my luggage to the new room for me while I was out hiking. When my motor oil was low, they even sold me 3 quarts of oil from their gift shop and gave me good car advice. On Thanksgiving night & Sat night afterwords, […] they even organized a little kid-friendly party with xmas tree, cookies, cocoa, crafts, music.
