My family of six stayed here our last night in Yosemite after tent camping for two nights to get some rest and clean up. We played in the indoor pool to get some relief from the heat and found it clean and refreshing. The hotel provides towels poolside but they were out by the time we were done swimming. Luckily we brought our own for camping so it […] wasn't a problem. It was busy with other guests also finding some relief. Their was a sign saying the Hot Tub was broken but it worked fine. We also ate dinner at the diner and enjoyed their Canyon burger. Be sure to ask for cheese if you're looking for it because I did and it was yummy. My husband assumed it came with it and was a little disappointed when our food arrived and he was cheese less. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We had two of our kids on the hide a bed and they didn't complain. The bathroom was big and clean. Though it didn't have separate room for the toilet and shower from the sink which made getting six people ready a little difficult. The room has a large flat screen TV and their were some good shows for the kids to watch. We then woke and got ready for our last day in the park. We ate breakfast in the dining room. $11 for adults and $7 for kids. While our bill was pricey, it was nice not to cook over hot coals and just go through the buffet and instantly enjoy our food. We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Lodge and may come back someday. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to yosemite"
Stayed at room for handicapped, great for father. Lots to do, game room, 2 pools, next to river to swim ,fish. Restaurant expensive but gives large portions. Bus stops at hotel to go to yosemite (hour away as roads are slow). Lots of gazebos and benches to hang out at in evening to see views.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK hotel if you nee dto stay close to Yosemite."
Expensive for the quality, but for the time of year and proximity to the park is it expected.Genuine Expedia guest review
Phone didn't work. Electrical outlet near TV and refrigerator was temperamental; refrig was turned off. Coffee maker was temperamental. No microwave in room, but available in lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
Convenient to Yosemite valley. It does have small store and dining available. Rooms a bit old feeling and staff very young and a bit inexperienced.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location to Yosemite was excellent. The rooms were clean, but the bedspreads and blankets were stained and had holes in them. Housekeeping started knocking on doors & vacuuming at 8am.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was nice, but too expensive. Maybe off-season (non-summer) rates are better, but not worth the cost in summer. Buffett breakfast was so-so, and they ding you for anything extra (like milk or juice). We went elsewhere for food after that experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
only stayed there overnight on our way to Yosemite National Park and it was ok but if stayed longer will be better off looking for a place within the park .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel to consider"
Clean well maintained hotel. The let down was our first point of contact with a female on reception at around 4pm (2/7/14). Something about me or what I said she did not accept. She was short, no eye contact and we requested a room with a good outlook and was given a room around back with no view. Also were not aware there was an actual restaurant and […] instead dined in area. Not a good experience. Food was awful, we left ours. Bar tender lovely and tipped well. Would return. "Great place to stay prior to Yosemite"
Your last chance to stay prior to Yosemite entrance. Excellent location, service, room and cleanliness. Would recommend staying here!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a clean motel that served its purpose since we spent most of our time in Yeosemite.Genuine Expedia guest review
The only argument in favor of this hotel is its location at the gateway to Yosemite. The rooms are extremely overpriced given the poor amenities. We bought WiFi access for $10/day, which was barely functional. The rooms lack a microwave, the furniture is slightly worn and there is no possibility to do laundry.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed at Cedar for the July 4th weekend. The location wise this place is very convenient approx 30 minutes drive to the Visitor center. The rooms are OK nothing to special or too bad to mention. There are couple of onsite dining options. The formal dining place get very busy so we decided to dine at the Valley instead. Its cheaper and quicker.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worse staff, they're not friendly at all."
Pool was dirty and disgusting, service from staff was WORSE people I had to deal in my life, room was ok but very old smelling bad. I'll never come to place ever and u don't recommend to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, clean rooms, nice views"
Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient to the entrance to Yosemite NP's Yosemite Valley entrance. Good mid-point location for visiting multiple destinations at Yosemite NP. Hotel has nice views, swimming pools, and multiple picnic areas. Restaurant is very expensive with slow service.Genuine Expedia guest review
No cell service within six miles, food very expensive.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fine, comfortable, but skip the breakfast buffet"
The folks who work at the lodge are quite nice. Our room was large and comfortable. The pool was much needed after a day of 100+ degrees. The other amenities were a bit lacking, though, especially the breakfast buffet. The place is probably a little overpriced for what you get, but that's just because it's near the park.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location but need updated"
We booked 3 rooms (2 deluxe, and 1 standard). They upgrade the standard to kitchen room, but the location is bad, and no other room available. The kitchen room is in 1st floor setting back on corner of building, old and dirty. The deluxe rooms are in 2nd floor, so it's cleaner. Rooms are roomy, but old. Our hair dryer doesn't work, and it 's very difficult […] to adjust the water temperature in the bathtub, you either get too hot or too cold. Service is good, staffs are friendly. Foods in the restaurant are ok, not so good, reasonable price for going travel in the woods. They have very good option to split the dish for 2 people, and the portion is very good, so if you are not super hungry, that's a good choice for not wasting food and save money. "Cozy and comfy near Yosemite Entrance."
When I booked here, I had no choice about staying. It is very hard to get lodge in summer Yosemite. I didn't expect that much. This place is not expensive than other place nearby. but !! It was good to stay, staff was very nice and warm :D. They were very honesty with their WIFI service, too. My room was 1st floor with Kitchen with door, Bathroom with […] larger bath tub. Towel was enough to use, room was very clean. I will stay next time again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It is hard to find rooming in and near Yosemite and this place knows that. The pillows were like someone stuffed rags in them--so lumpy. The bed was really hard--you are better off camping. There are there dreadful streetlights by a lot of the rooms--we had one right in front of our window and there is no black out curtains. It was really hard to sleep […] in the light--bring a sleeping mask. I have to say the bar and grill are tasty but the restaurant is not--you are much better off going to the grocery store in Yosemite or in El Portal. I think next time we will be looking for a vacation rental instead. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Location very good"
Driving into the Yosemite area is very hair-raising. Once we got to our room it seemed very nice. The room was clean with a wonderful view. The bed, a king, was super comfortable and we loved the balcony. There is a bar/restaurant on the property with very good food and nice wait staff ( Destiny was our bartender). The pools were good and opened late. They […] advertised laundry facilities which are 7 miles up the road at their sister hotel. No cell use for the whole area. The fridge only made our drinks cool. A/C and ice machines worked well but were very noisy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Horrible service, cheap rate for what we got."
Hotel service was horrible-- borderline harassment! After checking in, my family pulled in to park by our room in two cars (there were 10 of us). 4 of the family members were leaving but before they could even do so-- the maintenance man that brought us a rollaway bed began suspiciously walking around our two vehicles (as if to count the number of people […] in the cars). He even made a very sarcastic remark to my friend about how we were lying and trying to overstuff the room. The room fits 6 people and that's how many were staying. Not only did he continue to circle our car and stay nearby and WATCH us unload for 20 minutes, but he began conversing with us from a distance with other staff as well. Another employee took a chair out of a vacant room sat on the balcony across from our room also watching us unload. This is total harassment and utterly uncomfortable for us. I'll never stay at this place again. Also, we were lied to about rollaway beds from the manager. She said there were none available and would not be able to provide us with any even if there were, whereas the maintenance man told us there were 10. The restaurant food was filling but was not good at all either. I do not recommend staying here as it is also a 30-40 minute drive to the entrance of Yosemite National Park (not worth it). "Okay but could be better"
This motel complex is located outside Yosemite and provided an "okay" experience. There is no cell service and during our stay we could not use a credit card due to some sort of "problem with their card reader". Their buffet was the only breakfast option and at $12/person was overpriced - by 9:00 am it was not an attractive option but due to their location, […] it was really the only choice we had for our family. The eggs were not really edible and the oatmeal looked like glue. Orange juice and milk was an added cost and there were no refills for the milk. There was no choice to order anything else. The staff available to check you in were lacking in experience. The room size was nice but it took forever to cool (we had to turn it on). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Yosemite Valley"
Picked for convenience. Lots of outdoor amenities. Room, not so great. Carpet dirty, no fitted sheet so it was a wad in the morning. No breakfast in spite of extra high price. You pay for being close (reasonably) to the Valley. If you get there early in afternoon and stay for awhile, you will enjoy the grounds, but don't expect much else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for its location"
My room was clean but some paint was peeling in the bathroom. The room smelled like it hadn't been opened in a while. They gave me a room at the back, and it had a great patio and picnic table on a deck which was a nice surprise, albeit one that I couldn't use because I was there only for one night on my way to Yosemite in the early morning. It was […] the closest I could get with late notice and it satisfied my needs, but I clearly paid a high price for the location, and this motel would probably go for half that anywhere else. I showered before getting into bed to read, and a bug walked across my bare belly! I flicked it off, and in the morning I found wings in the bed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Would have been nice to have wifi for free.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was great, just outside the park. The rooms were lovely, very spacious. The little beach on the river just across the street was a grand place to lounge after a hike or at nighttime underneath the stars. My only complaint was the price of the room and the even more outrageous price of Wi-Fi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

no complimentary cofee in lobby; no continental breakfast; no free wifi- wht you pay for is very slow, if you can get on the web at all; hot tub/spa not working- freezing cold!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just outside of Yosemite"
If you want to stay as close as possible to Yosemite Valley when nothing else in the Park is available, this is a great option. We stayed in a room right above the lobby, which seemed to have the rooms that hadn't been updated. Our other family members stayed across the room and their rooms were definitely much better. I think it included a kitchenette […] with full-size fridge. The lobby offers everything - from a gift shop to convenience store. There's a buffet-style restaurant that is fairly priced. "2 star hotel at Best"
There is no way I would ever pay this much for this quality hotel. The only thing it has going for it is the fact that it is about 7 miles out of Yosemite. Otherwise it is way overpriced!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Love the hotel. But be aware there is phone signal"
We traveled with my parents and my son. So we had 4 adults and 1 child. They gave us a room actually has two rooms in it. One room with 2 queen beds and another with a king bed. And there is a door between two rooms. The price we paid is a little on the high end but considering 5 people sharing the price, actually it's fairly cheap. The rooms are clean […] and both rooms have AC. One thing keep in mind is there is no cell phone signals there(we are using at&t). The nearest place has phone signal is 24 miles away based on the front desk guy. Overall, we like this place. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fantastic Service and Great Location"
It's a very good experience to stay at this hotel. The front desk service is excellent. I booked it online for a party of 5 with a wheelchair, and did not realize there's no elevator at this 2-story hotel. When there's no accessible rooms available downstairs, they really had to think creatively and upgrade me to a big suite for free. They are customer-oriented […] and walk extra miles to make customers happy. The location is great, near the "Arch Rock" entrance at the west side of the park. The short distance from hotel to the entrance is a scenic drive itself, very beautiful along the Merced river. Highly recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Unfortunately this hotel needs updating. Carpets were not clean, but the beds were comfortable and the linens clean. To keep it brief, I expected more for what I paid instead I got a very basic room. The restaurant associated with this hotel also did not live up to expectations. I booked 8 weeks before we traveled to the area, and this was the best […] I could do at the time. "Air conditioner did not work."
Upon arrival around 8pm at least 5 rooms had their doors open with people obviously sweating and sitting outside to beat the heat. The air conditioner was simply a fan pumping outside air into the room. Our reservation through Expedia was supposed to be 3 separate beds. We got 2 queens and the hotel couldn't provide a roll-away.Genuine Expedia guest review
No coffee pot or TV remote - later provided. Restaurant mediocre. No cell service and they charged to make calls to toll free numbers. No wi-fi without $10 fee. PriceyGenuine Expedia guest review
We liked the location and the service staff was very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pros - much closer to Yosemite than hotels in Mariposa and Oakhurst (8 mins to the gate) on a easier to drive road than the one to Oakhurst. Decently clean and comfortable. Bar and grill next door Cons - small room, a little dated, front deal staff won't let you check in until exactly 3pm. No free wifi, and no AT&T signalGenuine Expedia guest review
