"Really close drive to Yosemite national park"
really awesome room, big and spacious for 4 people. the swimming and spa facilities could use a bit of sprucing up but really good thoughGenuine Expedia guest review
"A good place"
It's a good place to stay right outside the park entrance .. 8 miles to the park entrance takes like 15 mins drive . The restaurant is there but options f food is less . The rooms are pretty clean n well maintained . There's the Merced river right in front f the hotel and u can just go n have fun at the river water tooGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a disappointment!"
Excited about our stay close to Yosemite National Park and a good deal it was cut short quickly upon our arrival. The front desk staff did not have any answers for us. I asked about the bar and resturant that was on the grounds. They have no information about prices and menu. I even asked for a menu to look at and they said they don't have those. Prices […] for items forgotten in their shop was triple the prices. I understand you are about 25 miles from the closet store, but seriously?!! The room was nice and clean. The complaint was the noisy heater, and dripping pipes when someone above us would flush the toilet. I had to decide did I want the noise of the pipes or the heater to bare through the night. Bottom-line I only had 3 hours of sleep. The next morning we decided to use the restaurant for breakfast. The manger was terrible. She had no people skills and again it was all about the money. My friends grab a coffee thinking we weren't going to stay. When we decided to stay and grab a bite to eat, the manger refused to return the $5 coffee you pay for when you don't eat at the buffet after we stay down literally 10 minutes after they bought the coffee. My kids couldn't sleep because of the heater! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Clean and comfortable room, but nothing fancy. Coffee maker but no microwave in our room. Well worth the money if you want to stay near Yosemite and either can't get, or can't afford a reservation closer. The next Hotel down the Road and closer to Yosemite was %169.00 more, and full. Not worth it! They must have had a new Girl at the desk because she […] couldn't tell me what the breakfast hours were or that they had a complimentary continental breakfast, I had to ask. She also didn't know the hours for the restraunt. Not good customer service. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good accommodations close enough to park!"
Wonderful staff who booked us an extra night at a lower cost. Also, gave us an end room that was very quiet. Comfortable beds too!Genuine Expedia guest review
We liked the area and welcomed site of our booking since we brought in a pineapple storm front and had taken a turn that brought us into chain required areas. After driving the longer way this little hotel was very desired close to YosemiteGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"I will not recommend this motel"
We stayed in December and temp at night got down to 30. After settling in we found that the heater did not work. Maintenance needed to replace the heater so we were moved to another room across the property. I had to go to the office to get my new room assignment and there was no apology for the inconvenience. Over all the staff was not friendly and […] did not seem to value their customers. When I checked in, switched rooms , attended the morning breakfast, or checked out there was a lack of enthusiasm and friendliness. I will not stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Get what you pay for?"
It was the cheapest hotel in the Yosemite area for New Years Eve (about $86 compared with surrounding hotels at over $100), but you get what you pay for! The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable, and the hotel is generally pretty shabby. This hotel is also about 40 minutes from anything - the closest town is the very tiny Mariposa. The first […] night I stayed I ate dinner in the on-site restaurant. The food was way overpriced and the chicken strips were so hard they cut my mouth! It was nice that that night they did give out free hot chocolate and cookies. Overall I was thoroughly unimpressed, but the price was right. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable stay, great for family, older motel"
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room furnishings are older. Great holiday activities provided free for families. They had many Christmas trees decorated with activities (board games and Christmas ornament crafts) nightly with free cookies and coffee or hot chocolate.Genuine Expedia guest review
I enjoyed myself at the Hotel, the staff were helpful. The only criticism is the limited selection of meals available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice Hotel in a gorgeous location. The location of the hotel is unbeatenable. The Hotel surroundings are beautiful and easy for a nice and relaxing walk/hike with kids. We did it in winter and there was a lot of snow for them to build their snowman. The Hotel Staff was very nice and friendly and treat us very well. We spend Christmas Eve there and we […] even have a Santa coming to greet the kids and sing Xmas Songs. Very sweet. The restaurant was very nice. It has a beautiful view of the forest. The service is a little slow but worth waiting to enjoy the view. Both the lobby and the restaurant had a fire going producing a nice and cozy smell. All of it contributing to a nice family atmosphere. The rooms are in separate buildings. In winter you definitively need to move the car to get there from the lobby. In summer I guess is a nice 3 min walk with a little hill in between. Rooms are nice and simple but me and my kids love them. We had to get the deluxe rooms with two Queen beds to fit my two little kids my wife and me but definitively worth spent money Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bad, just bad"
When we first go there, they were doing construction right outside our room; I mean banging and ripping off moulding, I asked to be moved because I had a migraine and couldn't stand to listen to all the hammering and the girl at the front desk gave me an attitude. When we got to our new room, we found several pubic hairs on the bathroom floor. When […] we asked them to re-clean our room, again we got an attitude from the front desk. By that time I was just grossed out and wanted to leave. But at that late hour on New Year's Eve there was no where else to go. Got the room cleaned up and were ready to sleep, heard people running up and down the stairs, up and down the halls screaming, people in the room next door banging. Finally got to sleep and woke up at 2 am because the heater got stuck on- felt like it was 200 degrees. Bouncy bed, hard pillow, too much noise; it was impossible to sleep. Woke up the next morning to get our "free" breakfast that was included in the price just to be told it would cost $12 per person. That was the final straw. We complained to the manager who apologized profusely. She said that yes breakfast should have been free, and offered us an upgraded room. I wanted out of there so badly we just left. Also they do charge $10 per day per device for wi-fi (rip off) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"loved the pool!"
We loved the indoor pool what a great thing to have in the winter. They offered kids crafts and cookies for the holidays in the evening (but they ran out of supplies with in the first hour or so) They do lot allow early check in (even for a fee) so that was disappointing and poor front desk service.. But the Pool made up for it for us!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No Thrill no Frill"
The accommodation was adequate, clean large room, great location/proximity to Yosemite park. beautiful area. Not so much food options at the hotel or nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It is located very close to the Yosemite Park, which is very convenient. However, since the location is great, there were no upgraded to the room and charges applied to everything starting at breakfast ending on wi-fi. Price was reasonable considering the proximity to the park.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for the price."
Stayed 2 nights while visiting Yosemite about 25 minutes away. Staff at front desk are not very welcoming or friendly. Lobby building is very large room with a fireplace. Internet is $10.00 for 24 hours. Restaurant on premises in separate building offering pub like fare, burgers, fries, onion rings, fish and chips, etc. Mostly fried food but good. Bar […] area is on other side of restaurant and is very nice with some booths. Restaurant side is wide open area, very bright with lots of close tables. We liked the bar area. I saw complaints that the food was served in plastic baskets. Really? That is what you complain about? The bartender, Jason, was great. We had a good time with him. We ate here both nights. It was nice to come back after a long day, eat and be able to walk to our room. Some of the restaurants are few and far between and pricey. Another building housed more rooms and a very large room with about 10 decorated Christmas trees and offered cookies, hot cocoa, and crafts for the children. I thought this was a nice gesture. Building also had an indoor pool. Hotel also had outdoor pool. Room was good for the price. 2 double beds, sink outside of bathroom open to room. No privacy for dressing in room, and bathroom was tight to try to dress. Thin towels and linens but they were fine. Table and chairs in front of window. Chair was stained and I'm not sure why they wouldn't clean it. Good hotel for the price. Yosemite hotels and lodges are very nice but very pricey. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Decent room but the food"
Booked two nights, decent rate and the rooms were ok and as expected. Check in was friendly and uneventful. We tried their "dinner" restaurant for the first evening. A little pricy for the quality and certainly the kind of "you can't find anything better in a 8mile radius anyway" place. All meals pre-made. Breakfast was really bad (for our taste). $11 […] Buffet only. The warm section was under dim yellow light, charred bacon, dried eggs and other non appealing items. No single fresh item, fruit or veggie. Ended up eating the boxed cereal. To avoid anther dinner/breakfast experience - we checked out early, skipped the 2nd night and preferred the 3 hour late drive with nice breakfast and dinner over another night. Different person for the checkout was clearly not happy in her place.... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Front desk staff was not friendly. Dining options were limited to bar and grill which was basic. Ice and vendnig was not in every buildg. Be careful of slippery walkways and roads on the hotel grounds. Also, the two beds in room were small, not queens size. Location of hotel is just outside park but getting to it from the west was diificult as the road […] in had a landside. I would not drive this road at night. Pay the extra $ to stay in the park. "Great little hotel a short drive from Yosemite."
We stayed here for two nights to visit Yosemite National Park and it was a good experience. The room we stayed in was clean and warm It was off-peak season so the hotel was fairly quiet which meant we got full, private access to the pool and spa area which was nice and relaxing. The restaurant and bar offers your typical American menu, decent enough […] and fairly inexpensive. The pool table was a nice addition that I haven't seen in any hotel I've stayed at. "Cedar Lodge a Great place near Yosemite Valley"
The Cedar Lodge is a great place to stay right near Yosemite Valley. The close location makes it possible to get up in the morning and catch the early morning light in Yosemite Valley. "Very close to Valley at a reasonable price & pool!"
The hotel was easy to find, clean and had everything we would like such as a gift shop, small munchies store, bar & grill, restaurant--but the restaurant was closed for the winter. The setting was magical with access to the Merced River right in front of the hotel. The valley was just 14 miles away --and the heated indoor pool was terrific! Wi-fi was […] out but was informed by the bartender that they were upgrading it so it would be in every room. Very skimpy free breakfast that had stale bread and sweet rolls. "Yosemity Hotel 11/2013"
The good thing is the hotel location. I almost book another hotel in Mariposa but changed my mind and book this one and it's about 10 minutes to Yosemite entry gate. Since I booked this the night before the nigh that I stay I got ripped on the price (50% more) but for the regular price it should be an ok place to stay. Room was well furnished but showing signs of age, wallpaper lifting off, Also the blanket on the bed had a big hole in it, that is a bit shabby I think They need to get with the times and have wifi in the hotel rooms. Only available in the lobby and in the evenings it has people sitting on the floor as there is no seating left. I couldnt get onto the […] internment as it was too busy. "Decent hotel close to Yosemite"
This hotel had a lot of good positives including a good sized room with a kitchen! Also had decent pool and hot tub area that had good room and wasn't crowded with only 10-12 people like other places. Also had a little convenience store, bar, and restaurant. Nice to have that stuff right there. Drive to the park was easy as well. Downside was no free […] breakfast, and the buffet at the restaurant was over priced and not that good. Also the wifi is only in the main office and is slow. Rooms are a little dated but still not bad. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The indoor pool is warm!"
The biggest and best surprise of this hotel was the fact that the indoor pool had warm water. Not like the jacuzzi (which was perfectly hot), but enough to not want to get out of the water even though it was indoors. The room was perfect - large and clean, nothing fancy, but everything you'd expect from a normal hotel. The tub was pretty spacious, the […] AC worked great. Room service was fantastic: I called to ask to bring additional 4 towels and got them after some 3 minutes. Check-in/Check-out - as smooth as it can be. Location is absolutely great: I keep hearing about those hotels that people book half a year ahead, which are located right in the middle of Yosemite. Well this one is located some 10-15 min drive to the entrance to the park and it will not destroy your wallet! The only downside of this hotel is that in order to get to the pool you'll need to go outside (the corridors connecting the rooms don't have an outside wall). So during cold days you'll need to take a warm jacket with you when going to and from the pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Room was larger than normal, and was clean. Good value for the money. Front desk staff was pleasant but inflexible on early check-in when the hotel was obviously not full. Food service is limited, but staff at breakfast was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great rate. About 30 minute drive to Yosemite Valley (not the entrance)- but very scenic with many vista points. The drive is worth it. Clean - but I think there was a little mold in the bath tub. The remote didn't work (second time this has happened). I asked it be be fix or have batteries replaced but that didn't happen.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Am I too picky?"
No clock in the room. Had a coffee maker but no cups. Had to use the clear plastic water cups from the bathroom for hot coffee. The restaurant was horrible. I usually don't complain about food-I consider the source but the food was so over-cooked we couldn't eat it. Obviously geared towards out of town tourists who will never return anyways. "no expectation for service and convinience"
I stayed at up-stairs double room. Room is fine. It was spacious and clean. If you use more than 2 roll away beds, it may be good for you. But do not expect service and convenience. Here no cell signal and you can use wifi ONLY at lobby. It costs $9 !!! If you have to contact to somebody in city, you should not stay here. And the restaurant serve breakfast […] but they always push you. It means they want costumers to leave as soon as possible , if they finish. Break fast buffe is terrible... It cost $10 but you have to order $2 glass of orange juice or milk if you would like. I think it's better to bring your own breakfast, but no microwave at room.
