It rained,it poured & the SunWalktheWalk 1/2 marathon challenge that I was in Newcastle for was cancelled because of storm warnings & flooding. Well, hat's off to the team at the Hilton- friendly, interested and helpful;professional. My room was clean & comfortable with a great view and perfectly adequate for my stay. The taxi company used are prompt & professional. Yes, I'd go back.

We opted for this hotel as breakfast was included in the price of the room It was also sighted close to the center of Newcastle which is less than a 15 minute walk It is also sighted on the opposite bank of the Quay side which was a short walk over the swing bridge and there was plenty of restraunts and night life In side the hotel it was very clean and had an air of luxuary a warm welcome greating and what was available during the stay the room was what should be expected clean tidy well presented with plenty of facilties to boot An enjoyable and relaxing stay

Stayed here with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding. Arrived at 5pm - one room was ready, the other was not. No apology, just "come back in half an hour". Staff on check in pretty poor - unfriendly, curt, no information on the hotel, etc. Woken up at 4am by couple in room on floor above arguing and throwing furniture - sounded like they were trying to kill each other. Rang reception to complain - noise continued and heard nothing more from the hotel staff, so had no more sleep. Tried to charge us for minibar that we had not had. And the carpark isn't even free for guests! Only plus was the views and the fact that the room was rather nice. My advice would be not to bother - you would expect more from a huge brand name like Hilton.

Very good hotel, excellent location for Quayside and not too far from city centre. The Hilton is worth paying a little extra for above budget hotels. Complimentary use of health club an added bonus and superb views of the quayside and bridges that money can't buy.

When you book a room in a Hilton you expect to have no problems during your stay, and the Newcastle-Gateshead delivered as expected. The staff were very helpful, rooms spacious and comfortable and the general hotel areas and surroundings were very appealing indeed. I will definitely be booking here the next time I head to Tyneside.

I attended by Daughter's Hen Weekend with several other ladies and we were most impressed with the quality and service of the Hilton Newcastle. The rooms were of good size, bathrooms a little on the small size and a separate shower cubicle would have been nice but apart from that we had a really enjoyable stay. One of my party was given a room overlooking the River Tyne (for the same rate I may add) and that was fab! Look of the draw I guess.

This is a wonderful hotel spoiled by the sealed bedroom windows which mean that you have to keep the airconditioning on all night. It is noisy and inefficient and I would much rather have a window that opens. I shan't stay here again for this sole reason

On arrival the reception staff were very profesional and polite. The quality of the room was excellent with a view of the quay and the tyne. The buffet breakfast was out of this world with a wide variety of foods. The only fault was that the pillows were very hard. I would definately recommend this hotel.

This hotel is ideally situated on the banks of the Tyne with wonderful views over the river with it's impressive bridges. It is adjacent to the magnificent Sage Theatre - a "must visit" - and within an easy stroll of Newcastle City Centre. All of the attractions in the North East are within easy reach. The hotel is modern, clean and well maintained and every member of staff we encountered was of the highest standard. The Reception Hall is superb and the bedrooms are bright, spacious and clean.
