Ok for the money but needs to be updated. The best part of the hotel is the location if you have an interest in the outdoor activities. The hallway on the second floor of the hotel is very narrow and the carpets are badly stained. The light switch for the bath is outside the bath room. The overall cleanlines is average at best so keep your expectations modest and you won't be dissatisfied. The music at the tiki bar was enjoyable. Loved the room and the views from the balcony (marina) and surrounding area. As you drive there you may think you're lost because it is in the middle of nowhere. This makes it VERY quiet, and only a bit off hand from Tampa and St. Petersburg. Both are about 20-30 min out. This "resort" was a disappointment. The rooms were old and shabby, and they smelled strongly of room freshner. My first thought when I entered was, "What are they trying to cover up?" The shower was essentially a drain in the main bathroom floor that was removed from the bathroom by a curtain only. The same tile covered the entire room. The bed was […] small and awful. The beach was dirty, as was the water. The food was awful, but expensive, and the wine list was horrid. The final straw was when I arrived at 3 - 4 pm in the pool lounge/bar located outside for a late lunch/early dinner and was told that I could not sit in the shade because those tables had been "closed". Instead I was directed to tables that were placed in the direct sun. This was not a large area, and it defied all logic why some tables even needed to be closed. What was most ridiculous and honestly stupid was that whomever would choose to "close" the most comfortable seats in the area and instead direct customers to tables placed in the direct heat of the sun during the heat of the day. Did they want customers to leave? That was certainly the impression given, and I accommodated by leaving and driving 20 minutes to the closest "real" restaurant with at least a passable wine list. Recommendation: Pass this place by for an establishment that understands and desires to have satisfied customers and which makes an investment in the property as evidenced by updated facilities and a beach sweeper. The scenery was excellent, water on both sides of the hotel. Sunsets were beautiful. We sat out by the water every day; I read a book and my husband fished. The food in the Sunset Grill was delicious and reasonable. The full size balcony and water view is what I paid for and very romantic. The beach is sufficient and less than a 5 minute walk from the […] hotel.I was worried about the negative comments of previous posts but we were very happy and found some of the comments to be picky once we saw the hotel and surroundings. I gave the condition and upkeep of the hotel a 3 because the hall carpet does need to be cleaned and it is an older hotel. But, considering the rates, we can't expect country club. Overall, Little Harbor is a wonderful place to escape and relax. We will go back and the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Ethienne (I hope i spelled it right). Read more

From the outside, the hotel looked really nice. It does face the water and has a nice restaurant and lounge with entertainment. The employees were very polite. However, I really was disappointed in my room. The romote control did not work at all for the T.V. The toilet never wanted to flush properly. It took a long time to cool the room from the air […] conditioner and I could not close the door from outside. (I had to use my key card.) I think maybe it is time for renuvation on some of their rooms. The location is a nice location and there is enough there to entertain a family. However, I don't believe that I will stay all night there, until they upgrade the hotel rooms. Read more

Having family in the area, we frequently stay at Little Harbor. The food is very good, the views of both St. Pete to the west and and the inlet to the east are wonderful. My only long-standing complaint: entries, stairwells, and common-areas at the hotel need to be kept much cleaner. Cigarette butts and other debris are a turn-off. When we made our reservations, we asked for either two beds or one king size bed, but were given keys to a room with only one double bed (not even a queen size). When I told the person at the desk that my husband and I needed to get ready for a wedding and did not have time for that, the person on the phone seemed annoyed and asked that we continue waiting. After a while, we got the room next door. It was quite dated and not so clean. Housekeeping forgot to collect the dirty towels hanging in back of the bathroom door. It just seemed grimy. Great place whether romantic or family stay. We jet skied, walked the beach, played shuffle board, had drinks and lunch at the Tiki bar and swam in the pool. Great time. Our only suggestion is that the Tiki bar invest in better chairs, drinkware and music.

Nothing special facility wise. Not bad, but not really a standout either. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and conducive to rest and relaxation (although you might want to bring your own pillows...theirs are small, thin and very uncomfortable). The staff was friendly and efficient.

No WiFii in the cheaper rooms but you can plug in your laptops. Real nice and helpful staff, clean rooms, clean pool, place was full but quiet. Beds and decor might be a bit dated, but very comfortable. All in all very nice.

This was my first trip to Little Harbor, but I enjoyed my stay. The grounds were kept up very well, nice and neat and our room was nice, but could be a little cleaner. Was nice to have a bathrobe and not pack one and everything in their amenities was as listed on their web site. We had a room that faced Tampa Bay, it was absolutely gorgeous when the […] sun set and very peaceful and quiet. The bar and outdoor music was excellent and the food was great. I will go back again if I get the chance, however, this seems to be a place for more older groups of people or middle aged people because didn't see very few in there late 20's.
