7 minutes away from Montreux Center and 3 minutes away from the Montreux casino. You can also take the train from Montreux station and visit anyplace in Switzerland within a couple of hours. A nice hotel, with fair prices.

We booked a 'Deluxe Double" room with a queen bed, but received a small room with two singles pushed together. View from the balconies is amazing, of course. The front desk staff and the restaurant managers were a bit snooty and unfriendly. Room service, food/bev servers, and housekeeping personnel all very pleasant.

A once grand, but very tired hotel. Not sure if 4 star is a correct rating. Two light bulbs burned out, no hot water for morning shower, and difficulty with internet connection. The attitude of the staff was not apologetic, but rather "you picky Americans, what... you want hot water and lights?" Great view from balcony however.

It is akways a pleasure to come back to EXCELSIOR Hotel! This is my best place for a week-end for relaxing. The view of the Lake is wonderful! The hotel is quiet. Staff are VERY professional. Internet worked very well. I will certainly go back some time during the year when I need recharging my "batteries". The location on the Lake is unique!

The hotel itself was very nice, the rooms were lovely, the beds were comfy, and my lake facing room had a balcony with an impressive view of lake Geneva and the mountains. The hotel itself is on a strip of other high end hotels, but beyond that the nearby neighbourhood offers little else and seemed a bit rundown. Cannot begin to say how spetacular the view is at this hotel. Didn't read the other reviews prior to booking and disagree with some, but many are out of date. the hotel rooms' decor, for 4 stars, was quite dated, particularly the bathroom. i also felt there needed to be more staff at the front desk to accommodate guest checkin and requests in the afternoon. i also felt it was a bit far from the convention center, however, the free bus was quite convenient.

Byl jsem v tomto hotelu ubytován po několika letech... a nezměnlo se tam vůbec nic, tedy pokud ano, spíše k horšímu. Jakoby se snad kromě standardního úklidu o hotel nikdo nestaral. Stále ta samá postarší malá baňatá TV, nefungující DVD, flash slot, stejně jako lampa. Vzhledem k době pobytu (konec prosince) byla i přes veškerou snahu v pokoji poměrně […] zima. Absence jakéhokoli místa pro kuřáky v celém hotelu mi v mrazech též neudělalavela radost a stejný případ je i fungující/nefungující restaurace. Pokud jsem tam během dne zastihl nějaký personál, dalo se hovořit o štěstí, povedlo se mi to za pět dní pouzde jednou. Zkrátka hotel chátrá a jeho jedinou devizou je bohužel už jen skvělá poloha a dechberoucí výhled. Škoda, škoda. Příště nejspíš jinam. Read more

Bij aankomst bleek zwembad gesloten te zijn voor onderhoud. Staat niet op de site vermeld. Wij hadden juist dit hotel geboekt om zijn zwembad. De kamers zijn sterk verouderd. Snoeren los op de vloer met een verdeeldoos. Personeel was uitermate vriendelijk en Diner+ontbijt was zeer goed.

Vi bodde en vecka på hotellet. Från hotellet utgick vi sedan på våra dagliga utflykter upp i alperna, närliggande städer och montreux. Servicen var väldigt bra och personalen var kompetent och trevlig. Dock fick vi ett rum som kanske var lite för slitet. Lite nya tapeter, färg osv hade inte skadat. Själv har jag svårt att förstå varför det alltid ska […] vara heltäckningsmatta på hotellrum. Det blir ju bara äckligt och det gäller alla hotell. Restaurangen var sådär, trevlig personal, men maten höll inte måttet för vad den kostade. Hur som helst är vi nöjda med resan och letar man efter det billigaste får man räkna med att allt inte är tipptopp. Vi rekommenderar hotellet för dess låga pris och fantastiska läga precis vid vattnet.
