I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The walls were thin so I was able to hear through to my neighbors late at night being rowdy but the front desk handled the issue promptly and efficiently. The room was clean, breakfast was decent, and neighborhood was very nice. I'd definitely stay here again.

The location & price was perfect for us. (discount for 3 or more days & off season rates!) It was a combination business & family vacation trip. Everything is just OK. Not a "WOW" experience. I asked for extra bedding and I did not get it. To be able to plug in my computer etc. I have to move furniture to get to the electric outlets.

Not close to anything I need.The room was not that clean walks had holds in it ceiling look like someone had pulled the sheet rock off it.could not sleep that good there if someone open a door my room door would shake look some one was trying to get in.

Nice, clean hotel - quiet at night - friendly hotel staff - nice free breakfast in the morning - free newspapers to read in the lobby - really nothing negative other than the hot water in the shower could have been a little bit hotter. ;-) I'd stay again for sure!

Best price around. The room had an interesting smell at first. I don't know if it was disinfectant. It didn't keep me up, though. Room controls worked well. I didn't understand the coffee maker setup. It looked to me that the pot was missing. the hot water took a very long time to get hot, especially in the sink. It is located next to the post office. Very early in the morning the post office (Like 5am) you can hear a lot of activities like truck loading or unloading cargo or something but very very load noises. Will not stay there again.

Be forewarned--you will not be able to check in before 3 p.m. We attended a nearby wedding. Two of us stayed in a room the night of the rehearsal dinner. We had already reserved another room for 3 of us for the night of the wedding. We had to be at the wedding location by 5 p.m. in downtown Chicago but the management firmly told us no re-check in until […] 3 p.m., then made us wait an extra ten minutes anyway because the room still wasn't ready. Staying there was actually nicer than I expected. The place is clean and located in a beautiful suburban neighborhood. The Golf Metra station is about 30 minutes down the road and from there you can get to downtown Chicago every hour or so. Try the Seven Brothers Restaurant - a great place for breakfast. The receptionist at the desk asked for a credit card for each room even though I only used one credit card to order online. They have a very small breakfast area to get food and three small tables are right outside at the reception area. .....then this place fits the bill for an affordable bed.We were bringing out daughter down to Loyola (about 10 miles away), and just needed a place to slepp. This worked fine for that - and save about $15/night over the Super 8 that's located about a mile from school. The room was clean, but "worn". There was a small stain on the carpet, a small hole […] in one of the blankets, evidence of water damage in the bathroom ceiling and the "view" from the room was of the side of the Post Office building about 8 feet away. We checked in later in the evening and had no trouble with the service, as others had mentioned. Bottom line - a decent bed in a decent (all businesses) neighborhood for a decent price. If you're going to spend a lot of time in your room you might look for something nicer, but if you just need a bed for a night or two it works. Read more
