The only downside was our heater never really heated the room. It was literally freezing outside, even snowed, while we were there (around New Years) and the room was very cold the entire time. Overall, great room especially for the price.

A good hotel, clean, secure with handy safe public bar attached. Could have done with reading light at both bed heads. It is 30min walk to the city centre, 15mins only gets you to the edge. The nearby DART train system is a very short walk & will take you much nearer the centre cheaply, or along the coast north or south of Dublin Bay. Close to National Rugby Stadium, watch out for major games, when the area will be busy & noisy no doubt.

Quiet and out of the way but within easy reach of the centre either 20 minute walk (to O'Connell Bridge), free bus ride with Freedom ticket from stop approx.2-300 yards away or even a taxi was not expensive (early hours one morning) because of the short distance . Very pleasant reception area and extremely efficient book in/out process. Standard hotel room but very clean & tidy and with drink making facilities. Very nice bar area and food looked good and was reasonably priced although we ate out. Also very nice cafe which we used for Friday lunch on arrival but unfortunately it shut early afternoon and wasn't open at all at weekends.

depends on what you want. The neighborhood was quiet and very convenient to DART and bus services (although you generally wait for a bus). It's a new "business man's" hotel that seems to cater to tours and people who need to have meetings, etc. They have a very nice pub and good fish and chips. The neighborhood is does not have a lot of restaurants, pubs or grocery stores, but we found a great neighborhood restaurant and a pub that really satisfied our needs. Being 2 blocks from the DART meant that we could get out-of-town easily and see the countryside and a castle.

Located app 20 mins walk from the city centre Grand Canal hotel is easily accessible for any type of visitor. The DART station (train) is just across the road and the docks are also very close though you wouldn’t know it. The staff were friendly and helpful including those working in the attached ‘GASWORKS’ bar/restaurant. Basic modern hotel to South-East of city centre. Very convenient for the Aircoach from the airport--(explicit instructions on hotel's website, including map). Short walk to city centre, as stated, though probably wouldn't want to do this in the dark, so something to consider if you are planning to savour the city centre nightlife. Very convenient for the D.A.R.T., as the station is just across the road, so trips up and down the coast possible very easily and cheaply.. the hotel bar had a nice atmosphere, helpful staff and the food was good and reasonably priced. There are a few cafes nearby for breakfast if you prefer to get out, and large Spar within about 200m for basics. Our only negative comment would be that if you get a room at the front of the hotel, as we did, the road noise can be annoying.

We were pleased to find that the hotel was only 15 mins walk from Grafton Street and the centre, and also recommend the Canal Cafe for breakfast - which is about 300 yards along the road from the hotel on the way into town (if like us you got room only). Jättemysigt hotell i Dublin.
