My stay was fine. The only problem I had was parking a car. The hotel's tiny little parking garage is not big enough for the number of car parkers. If you park on the streets nearby, you have to park on a 50-deg angle, which could be a bit disconcerting for flatlanders. When I was there, the hotel was mostly booked by older German tourists, and sothe hotel had night time shows to keep them entertained. There are a number of nearby restaurants the individual traveler could get to on foot, especially near the nearby supermarket. Sunset views from the top floor public areas were goregeous.

Nice hotel with parking, but no elevators from garage to lobby. Garage not well marked as to location and if you miss it be ready for a tour of the city to get back to the hotel.

I really liked the hotel. There are mainly two things I didn't like about the hotel: my room smelt like a toilet - I suppose there is some sort of pipe problem in the hotel/city and I had to pay for drinks with my dinner although I paid for half-board. Which seems to me ridiculous to pay even for water with dinner when you paid for it.

Hotel was ok overall. It is a bit old and I believe it needs a refurbishment. All furniture was old and I really feel there should have been some extra services included in those 4 stars... we had a safe in the room but you had to rent it, there was a space for a mini bar, but you had to rent it, air conditioning did not work, and it had like 20 parking spaces which was tiny and cramped for such a big hotel.

Una decepción completa, excepto por el personal que es muy profesional, atento y encantador. Las habitaciones son cómodas pero muy viejo todo. El cuarto de baño esta bien aunque con ninguna amenitie. Tan solo una triste pastilla de jabón y gel de ducha en bote. Do modo que llévense de todo. Los colchones y las almohadas están muy bien y en general no hay ruidos. Pero lo peor de todo es la comida con una escasísima variedad. El desayuno en cambio esta bien. No hay wifi gratis, solo en el hall, pero funciona fatal y es imposible conectar. El resto hay que pagarlo a precios exagerados. Tiene dos piscinas pequeñas y la climatiza le en invierno está en una umbría por lo que a las cinco de la tarde ya no se puede estar. Por lo demás esta un poco alejado del centro.

Accès facile à la mer bien qu'il faille descendre puis remonter une assez longue volée de marche Beaucoup de boutiques et de restaurants sur le front de mer Joli centre ancien, pas mal d'animation Loro Parque à la sortie de la ville.

El aire acondicionado no funcionaba. La habitación que estaba situada en la séptima planta no tenía ningún muro de pretección con la habitación colindante. Se podía pasar sin problemas. Hubo un robo de lotería en la habitación de otro huesped.

El personal del hotel es muy atento, referente a las instalaciones necesita una reforma teles antiguas, el aire acondicionado no funciona, según se anuncia las habitaciones tienen mini bar y es mentira sí quieres mini bar tienes que pagar para que te instalen el mini bar. La comida variada y buenas, en las piscinas falta hamacas.

Für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung nur bedingt zu empfehlen, es sei denn man hat ein Auto oder fährt Taxi, da das Hotel doch etwas oberhalb des Ortkerns liegt. Das Personal war freundlich. Das Zimmer etwas abgenutzt und in die Jahre gekommen wie der Rest des Hotels auch. Das Buffet war passabel, habe schon schlimmeres erlebt. Gegen eine Gebühr kann man das gegenüberliegende Fitnesscenter Casablanca nutzen, welches gut ausgestattet ist.

Ich war im Hotel fuer 2 Naechte. Ueberall bin ich zufrieden, Fruehstuck war aber schrecklich. Weder Qualitaet noch Vielfalt, ich hatte viel mehr von einem Melia Hotel erwartet. Das Zimmer hatte einen schoenen Meerblick, sehr entspannend, obwohl es ein bisschen alt war.

Dans l'ensemble nous sommes satisfait de cet hôtel dont le rapport prix/prestations est intéressant. Nous mettons cependant quelques bémols sur les points suivants: pour le petit déjeuner, pain pas frais. Pour le dîner, nourriture basique pour un hôtel classés 4 étoiles. Bien vérifier le prix des consommations commandées pour les repas car surfacturés au check out. Pour le personnel, en revanche, très sympathique. Hormis le personnel de l'accueil, personne ne parle le français. Malgré tout bon séjour en raison de son emplacement et des soirées organisées.

Estuve una noche pues me quedaba a dormir después de una boda y en general esta bastante bien. En particular en recepción me trataron excepcionalmente pues necesitaba la habitación antes de la hora del check in y todo fueron facilidades, la tenían preparada para cuando llegué. Por otro lado unas vistas fantásticas.

Vi var där en vecka i december. Vid ankomsten var personalen i receptionen inte särskilt tillmötesgående, men de bättrade sig under veckan. Hotellet har två bra poolområden med en bra snackbar vid den ena. Rummet var inte stort men tillräckligt och det hölls i fint skick av städpersonalen. Frukosten var helt OK. Middag åt vi bara en gång; buffen var väl OK men inte inspirerande. Shuttle-. buss gick från hotellt ner till stan, där det myllrade av restauranger. Bussen gick inte efter 18.00 men en taxi till hotellet kostade 3,5 Euro; vägen dit var rätt brant. Puerto de la Cruz var en trevlig stad, inte bara en turistort.

POSITIV: Lage des Hotels sehr zentral, Service, Frühstück mit viel Auswahl, auch bei sehr früher Abreise kann man etwas kleines frühstücken, jedes Zimmer hat einen eigenen Balkon, jeden Abend Veranstaltungen im Hotel, Poos sind schön aber leider häufig überlaufen NEGATIV: Blick aus dem Zimmer war direkt auf eine Wand weil wir im 1. Stock untergebracht wurden, fast nur Rentner im Hotel ( zu unserer Reisezeit im November)

Мы с мужем останавливались в этом отеле на 3 дня в октябре 2013 г. Сам отель городской, хороший, стандартный номер, с балкона красивый вид. Персонал услужливый, приветливый.Отличные кровати и качественное постельное белье. Из недостатков: это его месторасположение, он располагается рядом с пляжем и туристической прогулочной зоной, но на горе с крутым спуском (спускаться-то хорошо, а вот потом подниматься очень тяжело), Поэтому я его могу порекомендовать, но сами мы в нем больше не остановимся, есть отели такого же уровня и поближе к пляжу

Tanto si se contrata un plan todo incluido, como una estancia de alojamiento y desayuno, se trata de una relación calidad precio muy buena. Bastante cercano a la playa de Puerto La Cruz y con unas vistas muy hermosas. La atención de los empleados del hotel muy buena, y eso se valora mucho hoy en día.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt, ruhige Zimmer, nach schließen der Fenster komplette Ruhe. Einfaches Frühstück, reicht aber, um in den Tag zu starten. Leider im Aussenbereich jeden Morgen noch die Gläser und vollen Aschenbecher vom Vorabend. Personal nicht besonders freundlich.

El Hotel tiene sus añitos y no parece que haya habido alguna reforma en años. El personal bien y de limpieza también, pero por lo que refiere a la comida, hay que estar dispuesto a variar poco: plancha de pescado o carne siempre lo mismo, las ensaladas bastante tristes, y de platos cocinados uno o dos mas, el resto guarniciones. Muy, pero que muy aburrido el tema de la comida. Estuvimos diez dias y si llegan ser once nos vamos a comer fuera.

Un albergo 4 stelle con delle belle piscine, bei bagni, ma le camere standard un po' vecchioccie, unica pecca nn c'è il frigo in camera ( cosa che dovrebbe esserci stando alla descrizione) e se lo vuoi bisogna pagare 1.80€ al giorno!! Il ristorante e' a buffet,il cibo e' abbastanza buono e varia di qualke portata di giorno in giorno, anke qui unica pecca , prendendo la formula mezza pensione le bibite si pagano a parte (nemmeno l'acqua e' gratis, per 750ml 2.30€!!!). L'hotel dista veramente 5 min a piedi dal lungomare principale di Puerto de la cruz e dai centinaia di negozi ke ci sono in città !! Comunque sia io lo consiglio!!!!

Al precio de oferta con el que fuimos vale la pena, pero a precio de tarifa lo vería bastante caro. El barman de los cocteles debería de hacer un corso sobre cocteles pues son realmente horribles (mejor pedirte algo embotellado que no tenga que ser elaborado por sus manos), a parte es bastante antipático, pero salvo ese detalle en general la opinión ha sido positiva para el precio de oferta que hemos pagado a pesar de algunos comentarios leídos en internet. Nuestro temor era que no hubiera aire acondicinado de 23 a 15 horas, pero dado que las noches son frescas realmente no es necesario. Comida decente, mas o menos variada que se puede comer bien. La cane y el pescado eran buenos pero si querías leche desnatada tenía que ser fría (no lo entiendo) y tampoco tenían Kellogs integrales, (aunque para unos días tampoco pasaba nada). Hotel en definitiva correcto (salvo sus horribles cocteles) malos pero malos de verdad, vamos .... "aguachirri".

Buen hotel para estar en el puerto de la cruz en zona relajada y tranquila, dos piscinas. Los desayunos correctos, hay de todo pero no comida de primerísima calidad. Tiene Parking para clientes. Bien situado a mi parecer aunque un poco alejado de la primera línea de playa, merece la pena pedir vistas al mar lo más arriba que se pueda. Volvería.

Last came here in summer 2012, great hotel. Love the pool at the top, more open and quiet up there. Have never eaten in restaurant though, always self catering as we know the area well so there are plenty of places to eat. Lunch time bar great food, would definitely return if heading back to puerto de la cruz.

We stayed for a fortnight, from 24 February to 10 March, half board. I have to agree with the review below which showed that after the cost of air fares and transfers from the distant airport, the hotel provided real value. Our room, on the fourth floor and overlooking the pool and Mount Teide, was far larger than many we have stayed in. The towels and bedding were changed almost daily, and the bathroom was excellent - very few hotel rooms have extractor fans which actually work, which this did. And having a balcony on which you can sit and read, or watch the world go by is a real bonus. There was an excellent range of food at breakfast, ditto in the evening when there was always a fresh fish or meat dish cooked to order. If I were to give any tip, it would be to try and last till the second sitting in the evening at 7.45 where there is less of a rush and a scrum around the fresh fish area. It is true that the hotel is up a steep slope, of about 150 steps, but there are areas to sit and admire the view, and if we in our early seventies can manage with short breaks then most younger people should also manage. We enjoyed the holiday immensely, and would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Booked a family room and got a triple room with an extra bed. No fridge in the room as advertise. Breakfast wax fine good selection of cold and hot food. No booking lounge with towels which was great. There were 164 steps from the town to the hotel (hotel uphill). Heated swimming pool.

A week away in the sun. Overall the hotel was very clean although could have had a refurb e.g. carpet, paintwork. Generally the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we booked half board and the food quality was poor (this opinion was shared by several other guests). We only ate in 3 nights. Breakfast was bearable but not really something to look forward to. There were plenty of restaurants/tapas bars nearby. Thank goodness we didn't go for all inclusive! The local area was good but as described plenty of hills which was good exercise. Ambience of pool areas good and plenty of sun loungers. Great views of Teide. Overcast occasionally but it was March and plenty to do other than just sunbathe.

I had a one week break in February. To knowledge the only other Brits in the hotel were a guy from Sheffield and a couple from Manchester. So make your own mind up from that. From my own personal point of view the one and only critisism of the hotel was that the bed was so firm that I awoke up during the night and each morning with a very sore back. Apart from this I could not fault the hotel in any way. Although I was on 'all inclusive' it was the first time I had ever done this and did not expect a very high standard. How wrong I was. The food and drink was of an extremely high standard, was in abundance and was available from 7.30am (breakfast) and throughout the day until midnight in one of the bars. Cleanliness was exceptional, as was the staff and the entertainers. Unfortunately, I had not been to northern Tenerife before and was not aware of the constantly cloudy conditions due to the close proximity of the mountains. I went to chill out in the sun for a week and unfortunately I didn't get that. 3 days of constant cloud and 4 days of intermittent cloud. If this hotel could be relocated to a location with constant sunshine I would return time and again. However due to my experience I would not return. Sorry hotel staff.

Readers should note that I am a keen Trip Advisor fan and always read the reviews of hotels before making a booking. It always amazes me that reviewers often fail to compare their experience to the price paid for their hotel stay. The old mantra is true, "you get what you pay for". I have just returned from a very enjoyable one week stay at this hotel. The flights and half board accommodation together cost me £350. Allowing £90 for the flights this is a week’s holiday with breakfast and evening meal for just £260 which equates to just £37 a night. To be honest one cannot expect much for this price. Nevertheless the Puerto de la Cruz Hotel provided us with an excellent room with sea view with one of the nicest bathrooms I have ever had in a hotel. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable and the bedding changed along with the towels daily. Other reviewers have commented that the side facing the mountains have been refurbished to a higher standard, I am not sure if this is the case or not, but there is nothing at all wrong with the rooms facing the sea. The room was quiet with good storage available and unusually for many hotels, decent lighting. The bed covers were a little aged and the furniture was not new, but perfectly serviceable and functional. Importantly as far as the bathroom was concerned was a decent shower and bath, complementary toiletries and a ready (and quick) supply of hot water. There are mixed reviews on this site for the food at this hotel. Again you cannot expect fine dining and gourmet food if one is paying £37 a night for room plus breakfast and evening meal. The buffet at both breakfast and evening meal is excellent for the price. OK you will have minute steaks rather than chateaubriand, lettuce rather than rocket, and nothing will be top quality. Yet, you will have an excellent variety of cold and hot dishes, most of which are tasty, filling and varied and some of which is cooked on demand. We had first class leg of lamb and loin of pork both of which were tender and succulent. Less adventurous children appeared to be well catered for with supplies most days of pasta, chips, etc. (In fact there were very few children there the week we visited). Coffee was from a machine; drinkable and cost effective I guess, though not especially pleasant. We did not make use of the pool or the sun loungers, however both lower and upper pools were clean, well serviced and sun loungers were plentiful though a tad crowded. The pool area is not large compared with many hotels as the hotel is on a hillside, but it is still attractive and if the rush of Germans for sun loungers is anything to go by, popular. There is a large lounge area and bar with pleasant comfortable chairs and other seating. Some entertainment is available every evening (again included in the £37 price). A pianist plays most days also. The Hotel is on a hill not far from the Botanic gardens. A shuttle bus is provided hourly to the centre of town and back. Local buses also stop immediately outside the hotel. The walk to the sea is about 10 minutes and easily manageable by anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. The walk back, either by the road or by a flight of steps, will take a little longer and may not be easily managed by the elderly, the obese or those with breathing or mobility issues - taxis though are plentiful. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a really good holiday for very little cost. The staff were kind polite and helpful even though some had limited English. Sheila Jimenez who serves drinks in the Restaurant and the bar was a star. I have just one gripe about this hotel - the lifts. The wait can be frustrating at times, the doors take forever to close and then re-open unnecessarily before closing again. Some worrying clanking noises are heard on occasions!! We eventually chose to walk down from the sixth floor which was almost always quicker. We did try walking up (once was enough!) A big well done to Hotel Puerto De La Cruz for providing everything essential for an excellent holiday

This nice hotel is not for the English. After feeling invisible for 4 days, I met a Scottish lady and in the 2 week stay I only spoke to a handful of people. Room although dark was lovely, Room 207 was at the side of the hotel so not a good view. The refurbished lovely bathroom was spotless thanks to cleaning staff. Reception staff polite but with limited English. Pool attendant worked hard, during a rain bout he could be seen hosing down the sunbeds. Thats a first!!! He kept the area spotless. The reception was spotless, the staff were forever cleaning. Thanks to Pedro, a smiling waiter in the Restaurant, his smile was the only thing worth going in there for. The food was not always hot, the meat very tough, some of which was cooked at the time. Pity the German guests barged their way around as if they owned the place, no giving way to ladies as far as they were concerned and I thought they had not eaten since their last holiday the way they grabbed 2 of everything. Queueing for fried eggs was an experience since each wanted 2, it was a wait when only 3 people could be served each half a dozen eggs. They loved to push in but woe betide me if I tried to miss out the salad queue to get to the main course. I think the food arrangement needs attention. At breakfast I had to walk the whole length of the restaurant just for the cereal which was only in one place at the far wall.. Some of the Germans were downright rude and selfish and they ruined my holiday completely. Could have done with lots more sunshine but that is nothing the Hotel can do about that. I stayed 11th to 25th January. I was glad to go home. My last sleepless night - caused by the new intake, noisy lot at midnight, noisy lot at 1am, one family having a loud domestic and a man snoring kept me awake. I gave up in the end and left my room at 3.45am.

Me and my partner stayed at the Hotel Puerto de la Cruz for 2 weeks all inclusive from 6th September to 20th September 2014. We were warmly greeted at reception on arrival, and all the hotel facilities was explained to us. Domingo was especially helpful and sorted out any issues we had during our stay quickly and professionally, all the staff were friendly and as I speak spanish it helped we made friends with the staff quickly especially the pool attendants who also spoke to us each day and brought us over parasols and loungers if we needed them. Our favourite member of staff was Sheila she worked in the restaurant and the inside bar she always spoke to us and made us feel at home. The food was great always plenty of choice and even the pool bar snack bar was adequate. The entertainment was ok, the local dance troup was entertaining perhaps the nightly entertainment could have been better but to be honest we often went out exploring after dinner so this wasn't an issue for us. We are in our 40's and there was a mixed age group staying in the hotel from all nationalities, even though I speak spanish the staff all spoke very good English so communication wasn't a problem. We had a ground floor room which was at the side of the hotel overlooking the chinese restaurant we would have loved to have a room with a better view but the upside was the room was clean, and quiet we never heard any noise at night at all. I would like to thank Domingo and all his team for making our stay such a great one, especially Sheila who always went that extra bit further to help us, the maids work very hard and always chatted in either broken english or spanish to us and would bring new towels and toilet rolls when ever we asked them . Location is great too, its a quiet location, and you need strong legs to walk up and down the hill into the town, but the hotel does provide a free shuttle service, and we often used a taxi to take us back the hotel at night. We will definitely be back again and hopefully again this year maby same time in September, this time we may ask if Domingo can offer us a room with a view. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone . We stayed at this hotel from 2nd until 9th November. The hotel was clean and we had no complaints about the room, which overlooked the pool. We found that the staff were varied, in that some were either very friendly and helpful, and some were just downright rude. My son attempted to speak Spanish to one of the bar staff, and (unlike some of the local bars and restaurants, where this was appreciated) he got an impatient reaction and all responses in English! The MANY German guests, seemed to get more respect from some of the staff, despite the fact we were always friendly and polite to the staff. The food was poor. It was mainly cold, not great quality and not very varied, We were all inclusive, but ice creams, toasted sandwiches, burgers hot dogs etc were not free. The catering staff would put, what looked like leftovers in metal tins by the pool bar for all inclusive guests, along with some salad.....the food here was cold and sometimes looked inedible, i don't remember seeing any guests using this facility. The lower pool was lovely, and (most) of the staff were very conscious of people leaving towels on sunbeds to reserve them (this is not allowed) and they were very fair. The entertainment was appalling! As most of the guests there during our stay, were elderly Germans (80%......... 20% all other nationalities!) it was targeted at them, it was supposed to be a disco most nights, but it was more traditional German/crooner type music that all the elderly guests were two step dancing to (at least they had fun!) with the odd Abba track thrown in! Overall, the hotel is nice, the resort is nice but the food, the entertainment and the better standard of customer service was all aimed at the Germans. There were some lovely local bars, but as an all inclusive holiday i don't think its good value for money as we ate out a lot and visited the town most nights out of sheer boredom.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over Christmas on an all-inclusive basis. We had also selected a "sea view". The room had a view of the sea (1 mile away) but what they don't tell you is that the room (and balcony) get no sun at this time of year; much better to opt for a "mountain view" room (with sun) unless you're worried that it overlooks the pool area. That side of the building (the front) has also been repainted, whereas the "sea-view" side (the back) looks like a slum from the outside. Of course you can't see this from your room or balcony. The other thing we discovered that all-inclusive didn't include free wi-fi in the room (it's free in the lobby), so we paid for wi-fi. This turned out to be absolutely useless; it took 5-10 minutes to load a single web page and then you couldn't do anything else (I couldn't even open an e-mail message!). I guess that's why they charge you up front; you would refuse to pay otherwise. Apart from this the room was comfortable enough, pleasantly furnished and decorated (but surely a 4-star hotel should have flat-screen TVs). The meals were all buffet style (even over Christmas) and although the food was reasonable, I find it tedious after the first day. They were very generous with the table wine but, for some strange reason, they made you pay for the cava in the bar (it surely doesn't cost any more that the wine). All in all it was fairly mediocre but, then again, it was inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for (except for the wi-fi).
