"The Townes at King's creek Plantation - BEWARE"
07/21/14 NanJack529 Solomons, Maryland
We traded 2 of our time shares to have a family vacation and choose Williamsburg Towne at King's Creek. We had 2 bottom floor units for our family of 10, 4 children under the age of 9. It was horrible, the units were DIRTY, the carpet was so bad that we had to wear shoes or the bottom of your feet were black by the end of the day. Ask to have unit "re-cleaned" and they sent someone out they looked at it and said they would be back and we never saw them again. The walls are paper thin, you could hear you neighbors talk, & we keep a boom in our bedroom because we had to pound on the ceiling at 3am to get the people upstairs to stop making so much noise, that never stopped. There is no curtains (master bedroom is in the middle of the apt and didn't need any) when you went to bed at night the room was as light as the middle of the day due to the street light, NO WAY TO BLOCK THE WINDOWS. Enough about the inside let's go to the outside and amenities, very lacking to say the least, playground that had trash all over them so you had to clean up to let you children play. The pool were discussing they had a film over them, gray in color and the bottom was shimmy from not being cleaned. The 6 days we were there we never say anyone clean them, and after the 2nd time using the kids didn't even want to go into them. Thankfully there were other things in Williamsburg to do. I could go on, but you get the idea, pick somewhere else DON'T say there!!
"Fabulous time / Fabulous place !"

This place is a beautiful Timeshare ! I don't know where on earth some of these people have been staying when they write that this isn't the absolute Best ! Our place was sheer luxury and- when we had to ask for assistance - it was Immediate! It was very quiet, lovely fountain at one side, grassy lawn beyond the rear deck... and it adjoins Water Country USA. We dropped the kids off and went shopping nearby. And- you're 10 minutes from Everything Williamsburg! (And one hour to Virginia Beach) ! They have several huge pools, and one is inside. The lovely Jacuzzi in the master bedroom was - wow. I hate it when I see a "one" rating on such a nice place-disgruntled at the world I guess...
"Stayed in the Estates.. "

We stayed at Kings Creek Estates part of complex and it was very nice. There was construction going on near us but we didn't hear a thing. We traded our timeshare to stay here and received 2 separate rooms which were very nice. Full kitchens and the rooms were very spacious. They are in a very good location. They have pool access (2 pools) and I believe they are building one in the estates area too which will be nice if you stay in that part otherwise you will need to drive to pools. They also have a washer & dryer in each room. Overall this was a very nice place to stay.
"Great place to stay"

We enjoyed our stay at Kings Creek Plantation Resort. We were here because we bought a vacation at a golf show in Cincinnati. So, we had to endure a sales presentation, but the people were nice and did not make us uncomfortable. We stayed in a 2-bedroom Townes condo. It had one room with a king bed and another with a queen. It had all of the amenities. Our husbands golfed every day while we hit the outlet malls! We would come here again!
"High Pressure Sales"

We got a great deal on a 4 day stay here in June. The accommodations were fine for us with our 2 kids. The kids had to sleep together on the pull out sofa which totally filled up the living room. But we enjoyed the king bed, kitchen, washing machine and jet bath. The only negative for us was the required sales presentation. It was very high pressure and they wanted us to make a 15,000 commitment right there on the spot. And were very disgruntled when we finally said no. They wouldn't even give us a day or two to think about it. It was simply a weird experience. They say the presentation is 1.5 hours but it ended up over 3 for us. So of you stay here, prepare yourself or get out of the sales thing.
"One of the nicest, very well worth it."

We travel quite a bit and usually stay in time shares. We were very pleased and extremely happy with our visit. We would absolutely stay here again. Also, the location was absolutely perfect and centrally located. The customer service was first class. Whenever we encountered a worker, or had a question/concern, they were as friendly as anyone in the business. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant group of people. We took the sales pitch tour (to get the goodies), and they were not pressuring at all. We liked our salesman and felt that he was very genuine. The resort itself is tidy, well kept, and you can tell they pay attention to all the details. The grounds, the pool area, and the buildings are all well maintained. It was nicely laid out like a neighborhood, yet it was very quiet and quaint. It was just my wife and I (no kids this trip!), so we stayed in the one bedroom. It was plenty big for us, and the kitchen had everything you would need. It also had it's own deck. It was the size of an apartment, and it was very clean and quiet. We couldn't have asked for more. Lastly, this place was quite relaxed and laid back. No uptight guests or workers. Even the guests seemed polite. There are two outdoor pools (a third is being built), and they are good sized but not huge. I was actually pleasantly surprised that they weren't busier than they were.
"Price tags, pests & being prepared"

This was our second stay at Kings Creek, we had stayed previously in 2012. We got there on a Friday, and both of our washer/dryers were pulled out and unplugged. Outside of our bedroom window was a rather large wasps nest, which had been there for some time. I just didn't feel they were prepared for us. Looking through the schedule of events, everything cost money, and that included the mini golf set up at the playground! I feel that is a tease, especially to those with young children. We have stayed at Williamsburg Planation in prior years, and we will be going forward.
"Finally, a well-kept, well-run, timeshare that's worth the $$"

We scored an awesome deal on redweek.com for a three-bedroom cottage at Kings Creek Plantation the last week of June 2014. We stayed in cottage # 111, in close proximity to the activity centre, the pool, the park, the mini golf. It was ideal. The cottage itself was inviting and comfortable. Furnishings were fresh. To improve things, they could replace the carpet w/laminate floor - just a suggestion. This would modernize the look and feel. We loved having a washer dryer available: we used it everyday, sometimes twice a day. We kept all our clothes clean and fresh. We also had to pack half as much as we usually do because of this convenience. The grounds are well kept, lush and easy to navigate. Bats come out at night to play and Birds come out to greet the day. Although we knew the resort was full to the brim, we were never bothered by noise or neighbours. Security staff are patrolling, as well as maintenance personnel, day in and out in their little golf carts. In terms of proximity to things-to-see, it is next door to Water Country USA and no more than 10 mins from Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg downtown, and Busch Gardens. Shopping right next door too, JCPenney Dicks Sporting Goods, Target, etc etc. Honestly, we've stayed in a plethora of timeshares through the years and throughout various US States: This is the only one we'd recommend and the only one we'd return to. Virginia is a hidden gem of a place to vacation. :)
"very nice stay"

This resort was awesome. My mom and I stayed here for a week and we loved it. the accomodations were wonderful. we were supposed to be in the cottage, but they upgraded us to the estates. The only issue was we had a 2nd floor apartment and my mom has some knee problems. we had a 1 bedroom and it was fine for us. I slept on the couch which was very comfortable for the entire week. I loved the ambiance. it was like staying in a real apartment. we had a full kitchen that allowed us to cook our meals. there was ample countertop space and all of the utensils, pots, pans, papertowels, etc were provided. It was nice to come back to the comforts of "home" after a long day in the hot sun of Williamsburg. I thought the sustomer service was amazing, and they also arranged a DC trip for the residents which I highly recommend. the resort was extremely clean. we used the outside grill next to out apartment and it worked well. the only problem I has was a wasp nest near our door. I called the front desk and a maintenance person was there within minutes to remove it. I plan on staying here again with more family members next time. they have larger units available that can accomodate up to 6 people.

We stayed in the one bedrm side of the cottage. We are members here and it was our first stay. Everything was very nice though the bed was very very firm. Most other aspects of the room were good. we did not use any facilities but the information provided for activities was thorough.
