Stayed here for the Astoria crab seafood and wine festival. Great location...shuttle picked us up down the block. Staff was friendly enough, no complaints. Room was cute, clean and comfortable. Great rooftop deck to.mingle with guests and enjoy a glass if wine. Would stay there again!

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the Hotel Elliot. They have an adorable little wine bar, gorgeous roof-top deck, and very comfortable rooms. From the roof-top deck there are some great views of Astoria. It is only 2 blocks from the Fort George Brewery (live music on Sunday nights, great beers and good food). The hotel room was even better than I expected - the room was nicely decorated and clean - beautiful updates yet still maintaining that vintage charm. The location was right in the heart of the city, which was perfect for getting to our event as well as site-seeing the rest of the day. The hotel has been nicely restored yet has much Victorian ambience. The location is great, close to restaurants and sights. Our room was large and had some nice extras. No hotel parking, but there were more than enough spaces quite close by.

This place is great! This a a remodeled 1920's (I believe) hotel. It is modern and very nice inside. Location is in the center of an adorable historic town, make sure you visit Fort George Brewery and Astoria Column. Hotel Elliot is a great place to stay. The parking is off site, but I don't think the city monitors the 3-hour parking very well. THe hotel is within walking distance of many cute shops and the waterfront. The rooftop garden area is nice. We lucked out and had beautiful weather so we got a great view. The wine bar was nice and the service was warm and […] friendly. Our only complaint was the view from our room was the rooftop plumbing. We booked last minute, so it is understandable to get a less desireable room. And, the temperature controls...or lack of them. There was a fan in the room that also was the main light. Unfortunately, the light and fan were not independent - so to have light meant you also had the fan on. They said they would fix it, so hopefully they did. Read more

We enjoyed our stay in this conveniently located hotel. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting. There is a rooftop available as well but it was much too cold and windy during our stay to use it for more than a quick look at the view. The included breakfast was minimal -- dry scrambled eggs and dry pastries.

Well arranged room with comfortable furniture, Great view with the option of using the blackout curtains for sleeping. Service impeccable. Location ideal for touring - able to walk everywhere including the Astoria Column and all museums. Three excellent restaurants with a few blocks. I plan to return to this hotel as often as possible.

The hotel has accomplished some wonderful upgrades recently and it is a joy. Parking is a bit of an issue, but manageable. The staff were courteous and restaurants and other services are close by. Very satisfactory.

I stayed here 3years ago and it was amazing! Clean comfy rooms, great service, friendly knowledgable staff....this time the staff was all very young and dismissive, offered nothing further than the prepared speech they have to say. My room...although the bed was still good, the pillows were worn out and flat, the room had not been dusted in a long, […] long time. The bathroom was just gross..the jacuzzi tub had yucky brown grime in the jets. Hand bars and light fixtures and clumps of old dust ..I had to clean out the hair dryer before I could use it, it was so gross. Went down for our breakfast at 9:45am, they served until 11:00. There was box cereal and old bread to toast .... Nothing in the warm servers, no staff around servicing. We left and went to the bakery up the street instead. I will not ever stay or recommend the Elliott again, so disappointed I chose to come here for out 19 th Anniversary. Next time, back to The Cannery, which IS fabulous. Read more

We booked Elliott hoping that it was the best hotel in Astoria. We could tell it still had some of it's good old charm, but with some attention to detail it could be great again. It was actually fairly cheap compared to other hotels, so we shouldn't have expected more. The beds and furnishings were very good, but our room was arranged a little awkwardly. […] The bathroom door was off the hinges and we had to call a maintenance man right away. There appeared to be only one staff member on duty the evening we arrived, even though someone else sitting unoccupied at the wine bar. It took us a while to get checked in, and no one to direct us to restaurants or other local sites to see. The breakfast the next morning was very good, and made up for the impression left the night before. The neighborhood had deteriorated, and next door would be a great location for a restaurant managed by the hotel. We liked our stay in spite of the shortcomings, and will come again. Read more

Bathroom ceiling vent filthy with dust. Also under sink in bathroom exposed plumbing filthy with dust. I gave them plenty of time to correct the issue, and they did not. I was booked for two nights, and left after one because I felt there was probably more things not so clean.

This is a quaint historic hotel that has been recently remodeled. The bathroom in our room was clean, modern and spacious. The heated floor and fluffy bathrobes were also nice. The air conditioning system, however, was inadequate. When we arrived to our room, the window was wide open with no screen but the air in the room was still very warm. We tried […] the portable air conditioner which cooled it a bit but not to the levels we would have liked. The best option was the provided fan in the screenless window...good thing there were no bugs around! The hotel overall seemed a bit dusty including the top of the curtains in our room and the hall rugs need clearning, but overall it had a neat appearance. The included continental breakfast was adequate and it was nice having a small bar available for an evening drink. I'm not sure I would stay here again for the price we paid. Read more

We really loved staying in Astoria. The hotel had convenient parking. The women at the desk was very helpful with informing us about all the amenities. She gave good recommendations for dinner. Worked out well for a get-together with my daughters and their husbands who came from afar for the Finnish Folk Festival in Naselle this past weekend. They had never been to Astoria and we enjoyed the trolley ride, good restaurants, and particularly the Heritage Museum. I look forward to another visit.

Our experience at the hotel was great. The rooms were all that we could ask for. The hotel has such charm and they are really doing a great job at keeping the character of the hotel's age with the updates. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was good too. We will definitely be back.

The two hotel receptionists (morning and afternoon) were evidently disgruntled employees. They were dour and unhelpful.The hotel lobby was being remodeled, but it was clean and neat. The larger problem was a huge bed in a small room. The bed was a heavy wooden item the frame of which stuck out and was hidden by a large cover- resulting in multiple […] painful shin bruises and bumps as we tried to navigate around the furniture and past the bed. Our mention of the bedframe hazard was met with uncaring blank stares from both receptionists. Too bad, because the general design of the recent remodel is elegant and attractive.
