Lovely restored hotel with excellent serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved the Hotel Elliott. It was historic but modern, with a great location and friendly staff. The room was small, but very clean, and they made storage available under the TV and in a closet. Loved this place. Rooftop garden was a plus, the location was great. All in all, I really enjoyed it and look forward to another visit in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor response to request"
We had a view of the top of a service roof, in this beautiful city. When we asked for a change of room, we were asked to pay more to "upgrade". We will not stay at Hotel Elliot again. We like to shop local, and that's why we chose this hotel. The website sounds great. Our experience was mediocre.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to everything"
Great little bar in lobby and close to everything downtown!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable stay at the Hotel Elliott"
This is our second stay at the Elliott and both times the room was small but adequate, the bathroom excellent (the heated floors were a definite plus), the staff helpful and friendly, and our stay in Astoria pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Quaint little place, that was very nice. The rooftop was amazing. Parking was iffy, but it worked out ok. I would come back if passing through Astoria.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place to stay to take in the attractions of the city of Astoria has a good vibe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We have stayed at Hotel Elliot 4 times. A very unique hotel. Friendly staff and clean rooms. The wine bar is a great feature. My only negative comment is the Hotel needs air condition for warm days. Rooms can get very uncomfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"perfect for walking about downtown"
Hotel Elliott was perfect if you like to walk out the door and be in the middle of town: shops, restaurants, museums & the waterfront all within easy walking distance. Parking was 1/2 block away. We knew our room was going to be small and it was. We liked the dark wood furnishings but the placement of the fridge/microwave was very awkward next to the […] bed. I used them as a bedside table. The bedspread was very worn - threadbare in places. And there was only one chair. This meant sitting on the bed which was high off the floor. On the plus side, that same bed was very comfortable. My husband and I both liked it, which was amazing as we almost always disagree on the comfort of hotel beds. The down comforter and pillows were great. The bathroom was small but didn't lack anything. The heated floors were very nice. The weather was too windy/rainy for the rooftop deck though we did go up and check it out. We would have loved to sit up there as the view was great and the deck furniture looked comfortable. There's a glass windscreen to protect against west winds. We also checked out the little gym downstairs. It was small but had lots of good touches like 2 machines, exercise mats & weights & a mini-fridge stocked with bottled water. We would go back to this hotel but would try to get a deal on a bigger room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We very much enjoyed the hotel. It is a small hotel right down town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location. Plenty of charm"
First time at the Elliiot and it was quite nice. Would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved this hotel! It has all the character of an old, antique hotel, yet is very updated in the ways you would want. The bathrooms are brand new with heated tile floors. The rooftop garden is breathtaking with the 360 views. We would have loved to take advantage of the fire pit up there, but it was very rainy the night we stayed. Walk to everything , great restaurants all around it !Genuine Expedia guest review
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Astoria, and the comfortable and well appointed surroundings of the Hotel Elliot really helped make it a wonderful weekend. The hotel is close to great restaurants, fun shopping (4 Seasons have the best jeans for ladies, ever.), as well as lovely sight seeing like the Flavel House, and the cornball Oregon […] Film Museum (fun anyway). The heated tiles in the bathroom and the comfortable bedding were the best parts, happy highlights also include a rooftop terrace with a gorgeous view and really nice styling throughout the hotel. The best part is the feeling that the hotel is nice and upscale, but not frou frou, fleece jackets are a-ok. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Took a one night mid week stay for my girlfriend's birthday. Everything was great. The room was clean, bed very comfortable, and the heated tile floor in the bathroom was quite nice. Complimentary breakfast was more complete than I expected and the staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed breakfast and morning coffee on the roof of the building. "Convenient, cozy, and quiet!"
This is darling hotel with lots of charm in the heart of downtown Astoria. We found the staff to be pleasant, especially the woman in the wine bar next to the lobby. She was very helpful in recommending places to eat and other local attractions. Our room was small but cozy and had a view of the parking lot, which really wasn't a big deal (we weren't […] expecting a view). We were surprised at how quite it was. We didn't hear doors slamming, showers turning on/off, footsteps up/down the hall. It was a pleasant surprise! The heated floor in the bathroom, Aveda products, and robes were a nice touch. The only issue we had with the room was that there is no A/C and it was quite warm and stuffy. We tried turning on the ceiling fan but it didn't seem to work, or we just couldn't figure it out. We would have also preferred something other than down pillows. The breakfast was another pleasant surprise. We were expecting the usual - stale bagel and a banana, however, we enjoyed the egg and bacon scramble and waffles with berries and fresh coffee and juice. They had a very good selection of other items such as muffins, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. Overall, a pleasant stay and we would stay here again (with our own pillows ;))! "Cozy and Comfortable"
We were so glad we chose to stay at Hotel Elliot. Though it's an older hotel, it has been lovingly refurbished so that it has an antique look without the antique smell. The room we had was small but had a good view, a comfortable bed, a deep enough bathtub, and it was clean as a whistle. The breakfast was better than any other "complimentary continental" […] we've ever had. The upstairs terrace has a beautiful view and attractive seating but the snow prevented us from taking advantage. We will be sure to book this hotel when we return to lovely Astoria. "Excellent hotel in the "downtown" of Astoria"
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Elliot. Our room was warm and inviting. The bathroom floor was heated and we had a deep jacuzzi tub. The bed was not too soft and not too hard. It was an excellent compromise for the both of us. The hotel has been remodeled and renovated and they did a fantastic job! Each room has a slightly different floor […] plan and different decor. The different sizes and amenities offer travelers a range of rooms types for any budget. The roof top area, which has seating and tables, offers a 360 degree view of Astoria and the surrounding area. Very nice! Breakfast comes with the room and is a REAL breakfast!. The buffet offered hot dishes that included scrambled eggs, sliced ham, and potatoes. Also available were yogurts, rolls, different types of bread, hot and cold cereals, juice, milk and coffee. Unlimited trips to the buffet is allowed, which my husband loved. The hotel is close to all the wonderful places to see while in Astoria, many are withing a short walking distance. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beautifully renovated, in the heart of downtown"
We loved the Hotel Elliott. The staff was fantastic. The room was cozy and comfy -- with heated tile floors in the bath and Aveda products. And we were within walking distance of many good restaurants, brewpubs, shops and sites. I will stay there again. And the room rate was very reasonable.Genuine Expedia guest review

Had a great experience here. The hotel is centrally located with plenty of walking opportunities to find restaurants and bars. I stayed over the holidays and had an awesome experience. The staff were very friendly, informative and accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
We LOVED the hotel, even though the room was small, it was very cozy and inviting. I adored the heated bathroom floor....what an amazing perk!!! Breakfast was fabulous each morning! Location was superb....we parked our car at check-in and didn't touch it until we left two days later! The only thing I would fuss about would be that our room was dusty […] (bed headboard especially) and not well vacuumed. Everything else was just wonderful! "Hotel Elliott - Special Hotel in Downtown Astoria"
This was our second stay at Hotel Elliott. My wife and I were impressed with our first stay and we are even more impressed after this recent visit. Ended staying at Hotel Elliot for a week for business needless to say the breakfast was outstanding far superior to many other hotels claiming to have a good breakfast. Beautifully updated old hotel. Lovely architecture and furnishings. The beds are wonderful, as advertised, and the bathroom floors are heated! Beautiful hotel with old world charm just a few blocks from the Astoria River Walk. We enjoyed the comfy bed, large windows and heated bathroom floor. The view from the roof top patio was great. "Classy and cozy"
I loved this old hotel. It is located in the center of Astoria and very walkable to restaurants, Columbia Maritime Museum and the shops. Several brew pubs and coffee bars nearby. "Quiet and elegant hotel which was enjoyable :-)"
We were made to feel welcome by the staff and other hotel guests. Even riding on the elevator with strangers who suggested the possibility of watching the sunset from the rooftop would be something not to be missed. The view of the ships on the Columbia River was spectacular.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not enough bang for the buck"
The hotel was fairly nice, but no where near enough to justify the price. The room was clean and well furnished, but it was also the size of a large closet. Breakfast was included, but I've seen better breakfasts offered at much cheaper hotels. The biggest issue was the parking. The parking was either on the street, or a lot across the street, which […] might have been ok, except for the fact that they have a Sunday farmers' market there which closes the main street and that lot from Saturday night to Sunday night. So for half the weekend you can't even park at the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice little hotel"
This hotel is located right in the center of Astoria with plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. It has a lot of character, and the breakfast provided a decent selection and is set in their comfortable cafe. The only aspect I was not crazy about was that they had a rather large standing air conditioner in the room - the staff mentioned the […] rooms get hot in the summer. It was out of place in an otherwise nicely decorated and comfortable room. The roof deck is great in the evening. There is also free overnight parking in a lot just around the corner - ask at the desk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Small but clean and comfortable room for a couple."
My wife and I enjoyed our one night stay at the Elliott, especially the roof-top terrace with the gas firepit. The view at sunset was breathtaking and someone did a superb job of decorating the terrace with flower boxes exploding with color. The view 360 degrees was amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Room very hot"
AC quit and hotel staff had to come and drain it at 11pm. It then worked for an hour before breaking again. Also, didn't like the cancellation policy of 3 days. Otherwise room was clean, staff nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
