"They do have Wonderful Beds!"
Spent the night at the Hotel Elliot while exploring Astoria, Or. It was a very pleasent stay with friendly hotel staff. The complementary breakfast was very nicely prepared with a good selection of foods. The bed in our room was one of the most comforable beds I've slept on in a hotel...Genuine Expedia guest review
Terrific hotel. We're going back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great little room with a very comfy bed. The room was so quiet, could have heard a pin drop.Genuine Expedia guest review
Buidling is old and very well cared for by preserving the historic characters. Beds were very comfy and loved the bathroom with unexpcted heated tile :) Very nice stay and will stay again next time I visit AstoriaGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historic hotel in downtown setting"
Great location near restaurants, shops and waterfront, nice breakfast, historic ambience, but room was small and noisy when window opened. Sunday marketplace outside front door was very cool!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worth every penny"
Great experience and a treat to stay in. Perfect location in a wonderful city. Highly recommended for clean bathrooms, comfortable bed, historic charm and modern feel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Old world style"
Beautiful hotel with old world charm just a few blocks from the Astoria River Walk. We enjoyed the comfy bed, large windows and heated bathroom floor. The view from the roof top patio was great. Nice place to relax, sip wine and enjoy the outdoor fire pit....if it isn't raining! Parking was not an issue since there is a public lot next to the hotel. […] We will definitely return to the Hotel Elliott if we are in the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Classy and cozy"
I loved this old hotel. It is located in the center of Astoria and very walkable to restaurants, Columbia Maritime Museum and the shops. Several brew pubs and coffee bars nearby. The complimentary breakfast was much better than most offer. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I will return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet and elegant hotel which was enjoyable :-)"
We were made to feel welcome by the staff and other hotel guests. Even riding on the elevator with strangers who suggested the possibility of watching the sunset from the rooftop would be something not to be missed. The view of the ships on the Columbia River was spectacular.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not enough bang for the buck"
The hotel was fairly nice, but no where near enough to justify the price. The room was clean and well furnished, but it was also the size of a large closet. Breakfast was included, but I've seen better breakfasts offered at much cheaper hotels. The biggest issue was the parking. The parking was either on the street, or a lot across the street, which […] might have been ok, except for the fact that they have a Sunday farmers' market there which closes the main street and that lot from Saturday night to Sunday night. So for half the weekend you can't even park at the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice little hotel"
This hotel is located right in the center of Astoria with plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. It has a lot of character, and the breakfast provided a decent selection and is set in their comfortable cafe. The only aspect I was not crazy about was that they had a rather large standing air conditioner in the room - the staff mentioned the […] rooms get hot in the summer. It was out of place in an otherwise nicely decorated and comfortable room. The roof deck is great in the evening. There is also free overnight parking in a lot just around the corner - ask at the desk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Old hotel with character fully renovated."
Enjoyed our one night stay. Only issue was noisy aircon.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great boutique hotel!"
This nice hotel was right down town and next door to The Liberty Theater where we saw Phil Vassar! There is even a roof top terrace where we took our own wine up prior to the concert.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small but clean and comfortable room for a couple."
My wife and I enjoyed our one night stay at the Elliott, especially the roof-top terrace with the gas firepit. The view at sunset was breathtaking and someone did a superb job of decorating the terrace with flower boxes exploding with color. The view 360 degrees was amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Room very hot"
AC quit and hotel staff had to come and drain it at 11pm. It then worked for an hour before breaking again. Also, didn't like the cancellation policy of 3 days. Otherwise room was clean, staff nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Really enjoyed the rooftop deck."
Comfortable, quiet, close to restaurants and shops.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Right in town"
Beautiful old building. Rooms were tight but comfy. Heated bathroom floors were luxurious! Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Nice hotel overall but had a few negative comments. Wish they had banned smoking on the rooftop terrace. Portable a/c in the room was a must the weekend we visited but the hose kept falling out of the window piece. Not to […] mention, they didn't leave any instructions or signs that the outer window needs to be opened in order for the exhaust to actually vent. We spent the first few hours wondering why the room wasn't cooling until we realized we had to open the inner window then the outer one. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Booked well in advance with no problems at check-in. Excellent staff service and condition of room.Bonus was excellent restaurant right across the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel downtown"
The Hotel Elliot was situated right downtown, in walking distance to everything. The rooms, although somewhat small were clean and the bed was awesome! The heated floors in the bathroom were a nice added feature too. The rooftop deck was a nice place to relax and enjoy the views. The breakfast was really good and offered a nice variety of simple, yet […] well prepared items. Although I knew there were other people staying in the hotel, you would never know. It was a very quiet hotel, perfect for just relaxing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
While the staff was friendly and efficient, the hotel itself was disappointing. The stairs and halls were shabby. Our room was small and had a minimum of space for storage of clothing, and few amenities. There was a portable air conditioner which made the room either too cold or too warm. Guest parking is not satisfactory as the nearby lot is small […] and fills up fast. A Sunday market further limits the available parking. This is not a good value and all-in-all, we believe there are more comfortable accommodations in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Rooftop deck amazing. Only issue was we found it hard to get to and park on Sunday due to street fair right outside taking up entire city block until after 3pm. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay and will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great place in the heart of downtown Astoria."
The hotel was very tastefully decorated and very clean. The location was extremely convenient as we were within walking distance of all of the downtown shopping and the riverfront. A couple of complaints were that there wasn't any dresser for us to unpack our things. The provided vanity was stuffed full with the ironing board and extra bedding and had […] no shelves or hangers (or hanger rod). Also, my wife and I found the bed a bit uncomfortable, though that could just be personal taste. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in town, close to restaurants, etc."
We were just traveling through and only stayed for one night, but it was very nice and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review

We enjoyed our stay but the Wifi system needs to be upgraded. House keeping fail to replace glasses and forgot provide a do not disturb sign.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming hotel but rooms are small"
The hotel itself is very charming. The service at the front desk was excellent, very easy check in and check out. They serve a wonderful breakfast with eggs, oatmeal and Greek yogurt. My only problem was our room was very small for the 3 of us and our bags of luggage. There was not a closet to put our things away and very little walking space. I would […] go back if there was only two of us and we were traveling without much luggage. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome historical hotel. Will stay again."
Close to everything! Great farmers market on Sunday.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean and overall very friendly"
Our room was very clean. The front desk staff were friendly, however the individual working the breakfast service refused to smile, and did not respond to any attempts at friendly conventions. The surrounding neighborhood was great, within easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and the water.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in Astoria"
Very nice comfortable room. Great location! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Loved the roof top sitting area - great view of Astoria.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun, Vintage Hotel!!"
Great, friendly service! Clean hotel. Great location in downtown Astoria. Really close to the Goonies Prison. Pretty sure this hotel is haunted, lots of creepy noises in the night. But that was very cool and more of a pro then a con. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming Class in Vintage Hotel"
THe hotel was charming and classy in all aspects. Only drawback was the small rooms only allowed for a queen bed. But, the charm and graciousness of this classic historical hotel outweighed the small bed. IT was plush and comfortable with all the necessities needed. The ion air circulator was a tad tricky and required some mid-night adjustments. ALL […] in ALL would highly recommend for those who enjoy old-fshioned style. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Good Option in Downtown Astoria"
The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower good, and the decor nice. It was slightly noisy, mostly from street noise and the air-conditioner. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. You can't beat the location- right in the middle of downtown Astoria and within walking-distance of restaurants. Parking was easy in the public lot across the street […] from the hotel. "Stayed one night in a standard room."
As always, excellent service and the most luxurious hotel in Astoria. It's a bit spendy (at $185) so next time I think we'll try out the Commodore Hotel a block away for about half the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
The cleanliness of the room was below average. The room was not vacuumed daily and the coffee pot was not cleaned. The house robes were so ruff to the skin, I could not use them. Yes, it is an old hotel and the make shift heater was so close to the bed I would not use it if I needed. Too bad. There are more modern hotels at the riverfront that I will […] choose next time I visit Astoria. My recommendation is to book one of the newer hotels and skip the convenience of the Hotel Elliot downtown. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice spot from which to discover Astoria!"
A very pleasant surprise. All aspects a nice place to stay in a developing town. Surprisingly good and varied restaurants and interesting shops waking distance from the Elliott. Rooms aren't fancy or deluxe but good beds, nice cotton sheets, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
What a Hotel - absolutely loved it and the staff was very helpful. Near to the downtown and restaurants. Rooms were clean, BEDS were cofortable, water was Hot. Only drawback was the one ways and construction while we were there. Would definitely stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historical hotel with exquisite rooftop view"
The staff was very nice and helpful and the location was close to about everything you need.Nice free breakfast in the morning incl potato pancakes. The view from the rooftop was just gorgeous and you could bring food or some drinks up there and sit around an outdoor stove and keep warm and comfortable while you enjoyed the romantic and almost surreal […] view. Also very much enjoyed the tour of executive suite which was so quaint, romantic and lovely within same vicinity as the rooftop. I wish it was quieter in the morning because I didn't have to check out till next day and the vacuuming and cleaning noises were loud and I was very travel weary plus ill. Also wish the wine bar could be open more often. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Historic hotel downtown"
Our two-day stay at the Hotel Elliott was excellent. An historic hotel right downtown easy walk to all downtown events. Very well updated with excellent furnishings, bathroom, bed, facilities. Wonderful full breakfast in clean area next to lobby. Sunday market was happening on the street where the hotel is located when we arrived but we were still able […] to park just a half-block away and later move right in front of the hotel. Enjoyed the quite roof patio with excellent views. Room had better appointments than many we have stayed at costing much more. Certainly will be our choice if we return to Astoria. The staff at Hotel Elliott was great! They told us the best places to eat and where we needed to see in the town. The room was very clean. The hotel sits in the middle of town and you can walk every where.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Must-stay in Astoria"
Rooftop view and a great breakfast too. The only place to be that's close to most of the things you want to see in Astoria and most of the places you want to be (Fort George Brewery, Bow Picker, shop.ping and etc)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything a Boutique Hotel Should Be!"
I found the hotel that I'll be using every time I visit Astoria... and will recommend to anyone who asks. I prefer staying at boutique hotels because they have more character than the chain hotels. The Hotel Elliott is a perfect example of how a well preserved hotel can be clean, friendly and comfortable with era decor. loved it. Staff was great and took care of all our needs and requests.. Simple breakfast with great coffee. Our bed was very comfortable. The room had a nice view of the Sunday Market. Great location to walk almost anywhere in town. Absolutely would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very comfortable, very friendly and assistive staff. Very much enjoyed our stay..thank you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for couples!"
This older hotel has been nicely restored; rooms aren't especially big, but adequate. The bed legs curved outward, and a couple of times I stubbed my toe. The bathroom was great: heated floor, a sliding glass shower door (no cheap plastic curtain!) and good quality personal care products. The complimentary breakfast was also decent, though the hot items […] were just so-so (biscuits & gravy, fritatta, sticky buns); a nicer selection of pastries might be preferable. Staff was helpful and very pleasant--they answered our questions and gave us good ideas for our visit. Ideal place for couples or business travellers; not so much for families. The hotel was very quiet and clean. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in Astoria"
Stayed here for the Astoria crab seafood and wine festival. Great location...shuttle picked us up down the block. Staff was friendly enough, no complaints. Room was cute, clean and comfortable. Great rooftop deck to.mingle with guests and enjoy a glass if wine. Would stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little hotel!"
My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the Hotel Elliot. They have an adorable little wine bar, gorgeous roof-top deck, and very comfortable rooms. From the roof-top deck there are some great views of Astoria. It is only 2 blocks from the Fort George Brewery (live music on Sunday nights, great beers and good food). The staff of the hotel was […] very nice and helpful. Our room was small, but very cute. The bed was comfortable. Only complaints we had was a creaky ceiling fan (it was awesome to have one of those) and the room temp was a little high (so had just put up with the creaks of the fan). Next time we come to Astoria, we'll definitely be back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great couples hotel"
Front desk staff helpful with printing a boarding pass. The bathroom has heated floors for a rainy day. And the bed is really soft and comfortable after a day of exploring.Genuine Expedia guest review
I cannot say enough about Hotel Elliott. From the extremely friendly and helpful staff, to the gorgeous historic building, there is no better place to stay in Astoria. The best was awesome. The shower was incredible. And this is the first hotel I have vet stayed in where you can actually open the window, which is a huge plus for this country boy. It […] is within walking distance of, well, pretty much anything, including the pier, where we ate at Baked Alaska (also incredible). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
