This hotel was just ok. Management is not located on the property. If you need to check in late or need anything during your stay, you have to drive into town. Great place to stay. Only complaint is you have to check in and out with the property managment company 5 minutes away. Check out is at 10:00 firm which was a bit early and they had zero flexibility. My 11 year old son and I had a great time together bonding, playing, and relaxing and the convenience to the Zephyr lift was unbeatable!! He wasn't so tired from carrying gear a mile that he was able to enjoy skiing! The stay was everything it advertises to be and more.

Nothing to complain about with this hotel. Dream come true vacay for three nights. Ski in/ski out was convenient. Shuttle was slow but not the hotels problem. Plus the shuttle was free so can't complain. Stay here! It is uber peaceful with all the perks.

Nice, friendly place. Loved The Bistro. Good food, great atmosphere! Wish the Bistro folks all the best. Good "live music" while I was there. It's a shame more people driving past the Iron Horse don't stop for a drink or dinner. Only down side was being on the sixth floor, back was a real hike.

beds very uncomfortable. asked for extra pillows and was told no. room itself was nice but oven didn't work and had to get maintenance in to fix thermostat. Loved how close to ski resort it was and that would be the only reason to go back.

We loved our experience here. We got a small studio unit with a murphy bed and a pull out sofa. We thought it was great (having never stayed anywhere with a murphy bed)! I get neck pain and back aches if I sleep on poor or too soft mattresses. I have to say, the murphy bed in this place was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Nice […] and firm and no springs in my back. Parts of the unit were a little dated, but others were up to date. However, I found the place to be very cozy and a FANTASTIC deal for the price. Since it was summer and off-season, the place seemed a little lonely (it's a pretty large property, so we seemed to have one entire building almost to ourselves), so if you like the feel of people around, this may not be for you in the summer. However, I am told that in the winter, the place is really hopping. There is a restaurant that is not open at all in summer, but I guess I open during the high season and looks fun. Nice indoor/outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Fantastic gym and locker rooms with steam rooms. Anyway, if we ever get back to winter park, we will definitely stay here summer or winter! Read more
