Very friendly welcome at checking in, efficient and fast. Very proffesional, the hotel is kept clean, safe and easy to operate. Please make sure cleaning the area aotside the windows (second floor) as guests throw their cigarett buts and more dirt out through their windows

We booked this hotel because we were only spending a short night in Bern on our way from Prague to Zermatt. We wanted something fairly close to the train station. Unfortunately, we didn't know until we took the Tram from the train station to the hotel that there was no food in the area (we hadn't eaten for quite some time & were hoping for a late night […] meal around the hotel). We'd have to hop back on the Tram & go back towards the train station to find food but gave up as we were too tired. Room was OK - poor layout as bed made it difficult to enter the bathroom. Night Manager couldn't help us access the free Wi-Fi & seemed to not know much about the hotel amenities or surrounding area - morning manager much more helpful. Overall, OK if on a budget, but otherwise you can find better. Read more

A bit hard to find and enter, but once in it was a comfortable room for our family of four. The room was clean and well maintained and hotel was well serviced. Other than weak air conditioning the room was quite comfortable. The hotel is about a 3/4 mile walk from the heart of the tourist section.

Charging CHF 26 per person for breakfast and CHF 20 for parking is outrageous, especially since the hotel is located in the outskirts of the city.

Close to city, clean and friendly staff. Travelled with family of 4 and the room was small but practical. Sofa-bed was already prepared when we arrived in the room. Bath with separate shower and bath.

I stayed with my family, including two kids. Clean, economic and well located. The room had a comfortable double bed and an extra double bed from a sofa bed, not as comfortable. I expected two separate beds for the kids. Everything was clean but the hair drier did not work. Another unpleasant detail is that the plastic cups provided were all broken. […] Finally, for the use of TV, or to play music, an extra payment was required, so it was for parking and breakfast. The hotel is fairly new (7 years old). Our room had a great view. The service was great. Breakfast was not included with the room. We found the bed to be too firm and uncomfortable (foam bed). The hair dryer and the outlet combo was not working and they fixed it the very next day in the morning. Our worst experience was to drive on the premises to get […] to the front of the hotel to check in. The drive way is way too narrow and a few stalls they have are extremely tight with silly looking concrete planters which makes it surperbly difficult to maneuver around to get to the front. We ended up damaging the lower part of our car hitting the concrete curb that was unnecessarily too high. In short, do not pay attantion to the directions to drive on the drive way. As soos as you get past the gate, make a quick left turn which is a short cut to the registration desk. You will avoid all the hassle of the drive way. The location was very easy to find - it's the last stop of one of the trams that comes by every 6-10 minutes (depending on the day and time of day.) Check in was a breeze. The guy at the front desk was very helpful. I liked how you needed a hotel key to move the elevator - it gives guests a sense of security. The room was very well laid out. There was […] a spacious queen bed with soft pillows and blankets. The couch was stiff but it didn't matter since it was a nice place to throw down luggage. The tv stand was moveable so you could watch tv from every angle of the room. Internet is free if you plug the wire (from the desk) to your laptop. I vaguely recalling WiFi had a charge. Check out was just as easy and we actually asked the front desk to hold onto our bags while we went out for a walk and lunch (since the food at the restaurant didn't look that appetizing. Note: no free breakfast.) He locked it safely behind the front desk. One last note - the $ exchange was pretty decent at the hotel compared to most banks or kiosks in the city. I'd come back again! Great hotel. Located just outside the center of town in a quiet neighborhood. Get a day pass and take the #9 tram right into the center of town in about 7minutes. The tram stops right outside of the hotel and it's the last stop so no chance of getting lost. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and spoke english very well. Very expensive and NOT in my opinion a 4 star hotel. Gym is tiny with hardly anything in it, the whole place smells of tobacco and they turn off the air-con in the winter. Why should that be a problem? Because the rooms are very warm, which means you have to open the windows and let in the noise from the circus outside.

When I first arrived the welcome and efficiency of check-in was excellent...with Reception Staff always willing to offer advice and help. I was a little concerned that the hotel was further from the city centre than I had expected ....but soon realised that Tram 9 terminated outside the building and was only minutes from the Centre. Also....Stadium […] du Suisse (Young Boys of Bern) was just a few hundred yards away, with an ease of getting tickets at a reasonable price. The hotel condition was pleasing...although there seemed to be very few other residents at any time. Service in the bar was a little questionable, and had to go into restaurant to find staff. Breakfast adequate....but hot section limited. I would return. Tram helps with access to city and walking to centre takes approx. 15 minutes. Read more

I would highly recommend this hotel, it was such a pleasure to stay in it, after 11hrs on the road it was great to lay down on a most comfortable bed! They are also very child friendly and the breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful, thank you. i also found the rates to be very good.

Only accessible by bus or taxi. Lack of dining options in the area. Have to walk for about 20-30mins to get to Old Town. Did not like the fact that the toilet area and shower area are separate. (They are at 2 ends of a L-shape). Really quiet area.

At least with a Novotel you know what you're getting. No charm, but a clean consistent room with a decent bathroom. This place is located within easy walking distance of the old city and is easy to get to with a car and has underground parking. I would stay there again.

Alles einwandfrei ausser der, wie ich fand, völlig unangemessenen Parkgebühr. 20 Franken pro Tag für einen Parkplatz der kaum gross genug ist um ein Fahrrad zu parkieren, finde ich die absolute Abzocke.
