"Not clean and staff who didn't care"
i stayed here a few weeks ago due to the location conveience. not in the city , but not too far away from it. there was crumbs on the desk when i walked in. the bathroom vent was covered by a light panel but you could see it hadn't been cleaned in years. when i got out of the bed this morning, i noticed crumbs in the bed as well when i pulled the covers back. i do not think this room and bed was changed and cleaned. i left early. told the front desk staff what happened and she didn't care. i had only slept in the bed for 4 hours when i saw the crumb at 8am , i just decided to leave. the clerk said i should have called maintenance about the bed, but when i got in the bed at 3am and up by 7 with an 11am check out, what was the point. she just said well u should have called etc. no apologies, i didnt want anything from it it just to let her know the hotel staff doesnt clean. unfortunately, i wont be back. i gave it a 2nd chance and no bueno.free parking , thats the only real upside,

"Terrible"
There were multiple bugs in the room! When a cockroach crawled accross the floor we decided we could not sleep there. We informed the front desk they would not refund our money. Thankfully we booked through hotels.com as they were kind and refunded our $ and we got another room somewhere else! I do not recommend motel 6!

"Close to concert venue"
The 4 mile location to a concert event and price of hotel drew me to this location. However, parking is VERY limited. Our hotel room was not very clean, there was brown stains on the bathroom walls, the desk was not cleaned off. direct tv in the room so the channels were staticy. beds were hard. ice machine was only on the 1st floor. there is a little pool to cool down in the heat. one small elevator. the hotel has done some repainting to make it loo modern but it is still over old modeling. things just weren't even wiped down. the price for all of this should have been cheaper than 109 for a 2 bed considering the quality of the hotel, but if youre looking for location to U street or central DC then this is the spot..

"Expensive for a bare bones hotel"
I saw two big cockroaches in the coffee area. It wasn't kept clean. The room was comfortable enough but pretty bare. It wasn't worth $100 a night.

First hotel I ever stayed where the receptionist sits behind BULLET PROFF glass. He and she were both friendly and helpful. The bed sheets were clean, and the bathroom was updated, but you can not raise the toilet seat more than 45 degrees upward because the counter top from sink extends over toilet seat, thus many a man have no doubt urinated on the seat. Gives you a real unsanitized feeling. The tile outside the bathroom was "Lifting up" due to no doubt water leak damage, I stubbed my toe on the raised tiles, thankfully I did not cut myself on the tiles. I won't complain about the neighbors coming in at 3 :00 am and making noise til 4 :00am as this can happened at any hotel, however the baby kicking the wall for 2 hours made me hear the inside of the wall crumble or something worst. Bottom Line, if you can afford $30.00 a night more, you can get a 4 star hotel 10 minutes from here. No excuse for damaged tiles and a T seat that can't be raised, cut the counter top for sanitize reasons. I put a towel down over the damaged tiles and one inside the bathroom, When leaving in the morning, I picked up the towels and wiped the floor, the towels turned filthy as if the floor was in need of mopping.

"What was I thinking"
Well first of all I have nothing good to say about this place the location is not in the nicest of neighborhoods in DC. The customer service was zero. If it wasn't because I had my girlfriend with me I would of much preferred to sleep in my car to tell you the truth. If Anthony Melchiorri from Hotel Impossible would go there and once he would go through the building I think his head would explode.

"Never again!"
I couldn't understand anything the staff was saying! When I got to my room it was ok, the floors were nice, the bed was neatly made. On the other hand the bed sheets had ciggeratte burns on them, the bathroom toliet wasn't even attached to the floor, the was no shampoo, and while brushing my teeth I found the water was not clean. Never staying there again

"Horrifing"
terrible, First thing was a nearly incomprehensible man at the front desk. then a terrible smell on the way to the room, room was the smallest I've ever seen, no shampoo provided just a tiny bar of soap, loud door slamming throughout the night, key didn't work on the second day, while getting my key fixed another patron returned because he had just been given an OCCUPIED room! Don't stay here

"A real HOT time"
Bathroom lights didn't work. Spoke with two different folks about it and nobody even came to look at it. We had to use the overhead heat lamp when using the bathroom for two days. Won't be back.

"disappointed"
I reserved a room for two days, but early in the morning on each day they would deactivate my key card. the furniture in the room was damaged, also floor boards were sticking up causing a tripping hazard.it was a inconvenience to have to go back to the office from the 4th floor to have my key reactivated.

"IT WAS OKAY"
It was what I paid for. A cheap room in DC, close to everything I needed. The room was nice, but old. The hotel needs some improvements. However, the king sized bed was comfortable and the room was modern, shower was hot and it was quiet.

"Clean, Comfortable and Quiet"
The hotel was within driving distance to the downtown DC, which has a ton of bars and restaurants. The grounds and the hotel itself were clean and quiet. The room was clean and the king bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly.The bathroom was small and cramped and it didn't have an exhaust fan. the layout of the room should be redone. the 54 inch TV was way to big for the tiny desk they placed it on, it can easily fall off. It was difficult to watch TV in bed. All and all for the price, location and comfort it was worth it.

"close to relative"
The faucets were falling off walls, the bed was hard as well as pillows, lock came off of wall on bathroom door and the room had no draws to put things in there was cubby holes like in kindergarden.

"Not horrible..."
The room was clean, one bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. The A/C kinda worked. The hallways smelled really gross, so I was glad the room at least didn't.

"Hotel is in historical part of D.C."
I wasn't impressed with staff, I would have thought that the price I paid, there would have been some sort of continental breakfast or even fresh coffee but there wasn't either both mornings I was there. And why is there 3'' glass at the check in desk ? between me and the hotel staff, not very comforting.

It was great for the price. The hotel room itself was okay, not spectacular, but clean. The surrounding area was, for the most part nice, very residential. There's a nearby CVS, supermarket and Subway store to the left of the hotel, which is convenient. Best of all, it was only a 20 minute ride on the metro.

"You get what you pay for"
The motel while not the cleanest was ok. It was cheap and so I didn't expect much. It was a convenient location and the front desk was very nice and helpful. The area was a little sketchy but overall it wasn't too bad. You could hear your neighbors but if you turn the fan on you couldn't hear them anymore.

"Not worth it!!!!!"
I did not like the motel one bit. As soon as you walk in the motel I smell uncleaniness. The room was smelly and nasty. I would never, ever go back to that motel or any motel again. That was a last minute decision to go there and I regret it.

"I would stay there again."
My stay was fine, very relaxing and quiet. The hotel is close to all types of stores and metro. The only thing that I found odd was the fact that the shower head could not have been more than five (5) feet off the bottom of the tub. This was a problem for me as I am over six feet tall, but that aside I have no complaints at all. There was plenty of parking within just feet of the front door in their private lot and the staff was very friendly. For just a basic overnight stay I would recommend this hotel.

"You get what you pay for."
This really wasn't a great hotel. Broken doors to an awkward smell throughout the hallways to ventilation systems that don't seem to work to bathrooms that look like public toilets. It was rather disappointing but how could I complain when you consider how much I paid. Of course you expect the most from your money but you have to go in with low expectations & this fell below it.

"Bad neighborhood"
Bad neighborhood. Lobby has bullet proof glass. Unsafe to go out at night.

"Not close to Walter Reed Medical Center!"
Advertised as 500m from Walter Reed Medical Center. This is the FORMER site of WRMC. Walter Reed Medical Center is located in Bethesda, MD 15 minutes away.

The room had no fridge which was kind of weird. Clean but I wouldn't use this place other than to just sleep.

"Inconvenienced"
I had to go up and down the steps three times because the conciere did not properly program my key. The bathroom was dirty.

"It's okay if you live in dc"
The tv sucks no breakfast no refrigerator in the room you have to go downstairs to use a microwave other than that it's a nice place to stay my room was clean and small it had a nice bathroom.

"Worst hotel i ever been"
The room is very dirty. It smells bad when enter. The linens have stains the carpet seems not being vacuum. The wash room is very small. The tissue holder is rusty.The staff doesn't know what they are doing. We ask for blanket and we waited for 2 days and still we don't get the blanket. The staff response was they font have any and wait for the next shift and ask again.i ask for the manager and they said no manage in the hotel. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody.

"not a pleasant stay...cockroaches"
I stayed one night and as soon as i got into my room i saw cockroaches. safe to say i was worried about what may have gotten into my bags and what not

"Just disappointing."
Restroom door won't close completely. No fan in restroom. Bad smell in corridor. No free shampoo. Cheap TV. No second lock on room door. Wifi unreliable.
