The hotel is small and cozy with a very friendly and accommodating staff. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious our room was. My wife insisted on leaving the chamber maid an extra large tip for how well she cleaned and serviced our room. The desk staff was so helpful with recommendations, suggestions, and aid when a prearranged ride to a Tango […] dinner show didn't arrive, that I left a generous tip for them to share, a rare thing for me to do. The hotel could not be better situated in the center of the city and one a pedestrian-only shopping street/promenade: famous Florida Street. The only downside, the only downside is that taxi's can't get closer than one hundred yards to the hotel's entrance. We don't have many, if any, Howard Johnson Hotels in the USA anymore. My wife and I were a little skeptical about the brand before we arrived in Argentina, but we found that the brand is well known and well respected throughout Argentina. We would recommend the HJ-Florida Street, Buenos Aries to anyone. Read more

The hotel had excellent breakfast and housekeeping was very good. The desk service was okay. A female desk clerk gave me somewhat of a hard time about getting a room with a king size bed, when I requested a change because I was assigned a room with three beds. A male clerk suggested a room to her, after she told me that there were none available. The […] new room was better. They also charged me for using the mini-bar when I did not. I informed the same female desk clerk that I never used the mini-bar and I believe she removed the charges. I have to check my credit card statement to be sure. Overall,, my stay was very good. The hotel is well placed in the city. Our room on the 11 floor was very quiet and comfortable. It is always a bit difficult if one does not speak the local lingo but the staff helped is as much as they could. We can recommend this hotel to any one.

Good, convenient locations but not after 10pm, needs to have better security and I don't mean from the hotel but the city. The area around the restaurant/breakfast room needs maintenance and some house keeping.

Good experience overall - clean, good size room & hotel in a reasonably good location (10-15 minute walk along pedestrian mall - which i enjoyed - to city center; close to excellent shopping center). Found staff friendly and helpful but there was no information in room re hotel services and local amenities. Limited concierge service, but helpful front […] desk, although often very busy. TV noise from the adjoining room was noticeable, so had to resort to earplugs. Fast internet in room. No room service and restaurant didn't seem to be operating in the evening during my stay. O hotel está na melhor localização para quem vai pela 1a vez a Buenos Aires: está a uma quadra da Galeria Pacifico, do Carrefour Express, Farmacity e Falabella. O metrô fica na praça St. Martin, do outro lado da rua, e há um banco Itaú proximo. No seu quarteirao ficam dúzias de lojas e galerias, e em frente ao hotel há um McDonalds, com preços muito […] camaradas, além de um quisque que vende desde água até lanches, ao lado. Escolhi este hotel para ficar em dezembro de 2012, por indicação de amigos, me indicaram pela localização e limpeza. É um dos poucos hoteis que não foi "reformado" mas sim "refeito", e assim é realente novo, sem mofo (coisa comum em BA). Muito indicado para familia com crianças, idosos ou viajantes de 1a vez. O café da manha é farto, com as melhores "medialunas" da cidade, e o atendimento é prestativo e cortês, inclusive falam "portunhol". Escolhi este hotel por estar perto do transfer do Maunel Tienda Leon, porem com depois resolvi ir de taxi para o aeroporto. Nao utilizei esta funcionalidade. Pelo fato do hotel localizar-se no calçadão da florida,quando se regressa ao hotel à noite tem que se andar meia quadra ,pois os taxis nos deixa,na esquina da praça S.Martim,ou na rua Paraguai,e fui assaltada as 3 horas da tarde,imagine se andar mulheres sozinhasà noite,porem gostei bastante do hotel,este foi o unico senão.

A experiência como viajante para Buenos Aires foi boa. As fotos do site não reproduzem a realidade. Os quartos são antigos, o hotel como um todo é bem antigo, o banheiro ainda é de cortina de plástico e o café da manhã é razoável, sem nenhuma opção além do necessário. Eu não recomendaria.

This Hotel is located in a very nice location (centro) and you can reach a lot of transportation within some blocks. The room (was in 12th floor) was very quite less if you using the aire condition. For security the windows was only able to open for a very small (no air circulation) range. I had booked the hotel for wellness and business supose but […] there isn't any service located in the hotel. For wellnes they only offer tickets for a public gym far away and like for all business stuff the tell you you can go outside to other shops. The breakfast buffet don't had a lot of variation and often it was emtpy, the dishes not cleaned in fact of a very bad service handling. The room service was the best of the hotel and they cleaned every day the room. Nice was that they offered free internet connection in the rooms (with cable), wireless in the lounge (with key) and 2 PC for free use in the lounge too. The television cable at the room has bad signal and you only have a old TV (for 3 1/2 * should be a LCD). As my result the hotel is not more than a 2 1/2 * hotel and the price is too high in fact of they don't offer a lot of services because there are a lot of other hotels in the near which has lower prices for that service level. The only bad thing is the elevators, only two, with a carrying limit of 4 people. Sometimes it takes a while for the elevator to come. But this is not really serious. Its very nice to have internet included, not a common feature in BA. Otherwise it is good. Breakfast could be better though, but it is not bad compared to other hotels in BA or the US. […] No muesli nor oats, for example. But staff is short and sometimes the tables take long to get cleaned. I found it weird and totally uncessary to receive a call at 9 am about the need to leave the room at 12 AM.
