It's family-owned with out-sourced day-to-day management - an older style hotel with modern touches e.g. Free wi-fi. Together this keeps the prices reasonable for a medium frills experience. I found it suited my needs perfectly - I just wanted to be left alone to do my own thing - saunter down to the beach without crossing a street or catching a shuttle. […] The staff are all very well trained - tho some of the front desk staff a little too so, they could lighten up up be just that little less formal given it's a holiday Hotel. The hotel was nice but not really what we were expecting. It is probably the best value for the price and the beach it's on is nice although a bit rocky and small but at least we don't get harassed by people trying to rent us chairs like on other beaches. It is more a motel with 3 floors. All the doors are facing the street which can get pretty loud […] with the taxis honking. Also the hotel description doesn't say it is across the street from a bar that plays loud music until 1am+ The breakfast is kind of a joke, it won't fill you up for the day that's for sure but at least it is free. They were having happy hour twice a day on the beach so that was nice. Staff was cool, although one of the guy at the front desk was new and wasn't really helpful. I went there for a funeral. We got there friday night. I asked for a 7am wake up call and received it at 715am the guy said "oh i know you are supposed to get a wake up call i am late but here it is". That evening there was no hot water to take a shower. I tried to use the phone and it would not work.i pressed the front desk button NOTHING. I told the kitchen they said they accidently put chili powder instead of paprika..the towel that were used and thrown on the floor were folded and placed back on the racke.. The beach is full of large rocks so make sure you wear shoes...I would never go back there or recommend it to any.. I have been to hotels in Barbados many times NEVER AGAIN. It was ok. Room clean & comfortable. Staff very friendly & helpful. Beach & grounds are lovely. Easy bus transport. Close to airport. Shore snorkeling is VERY limited. my whole experience was good. the staff was very pleasant and helpful especially Andy the security guard. John and Nastasha in the dining area were also friendly. This hotel was close to everything and the bus was right in the front of the hotel.. you also could walk to many of the local eateries and especially you are in walking distance to the famous […] Brown Sugar Restaurant.. you have to go the the buffet its from 12-2:30pm, you get more for your money and on monday nights its even better... just to let you know this hotel is on a busy main road so it can get a bit noisy but im from brooklyn it did not bother me.. oh and the Bridgetown (the city) and Oistons ( the famous friday night Fish Fry) are just a bus ride away. last but not least the breakfast is okay it's free okay.. dont complain.....!!! I wasn't expecting too much from the ratings and reviews but took into consideration what we paid. On the up side we lucked out and got the perfect location of our room, ground floor facing the ocean. Pretty quiet and convenient. Take beach shoes for swimming since the floor of the ocean at this beach is rocky. Kyacking was a ball, we fell in twice […] and had a good laugh. Visit the Crane for a better beach. The included breakfast was appreciated at first (few days) and then got old because it didn't change and the choices were poor, overcooked oatmeal,white toast and canned fruit not so good muffins and pasries. I was glad for the coffee but couldn't get any after breckfast. We took advantage of the Happy hours to save on drinks. The bed, pillows and sheets were the worst, so I would suggest bringing what you can, I did and it was my salvation. The busses are cheap for getting around but are a real cultural experience and if you are bothered by crowding take a cab. Ted's tour was worth it, a good time and a nice meal. It was nice to get a broad overview of the whole Island and yet there was still more to experience, A week is never enough! I would probably go back to this hotel because it was economical and so close to the beach which is the main attraction. Read more

It was just a regular hotel but for the price it was suited. However don't be fooled by the "Breakfast Buffet" they post. Its really a Continental Breakfast Buffet with even more limited choices. Simply toast, a small cinnabon, differing muffins each day, cantaloupe and honey dew (both of which I dislike ), a couple days of canned fruit cocktail. Butter […] jam. To make up the empty space decided to order of the hot breakfast menu-even more disappointing. For $5US we ordered 2 eggs any style. The servings seemed the size of one egg. Sad to say we left every morning hungry even after ordering extra items. The rooms were clean and remain so throughout or trip. The beach was not to our liking as one had to navigate through some underwater rocks before getting to waist high. Needless to say we never went in. Though the above was not so good the location is good. A walk away from the start of the boardwalk or St. Lawrence and the island is so safe that we travelled around just as the locals in the maxi taxis at $2BDS. All in all it was a good trip. Service was always met with a smile and willingness to be of help with the exception of the male Front Desk employee, he was very unaccommodating and lacked a welcoming attitude. we caught the room on a special. we did not like he room they gave us so they gave us a better room with nicer view for no extra charge, luckily one was available. the difference with the chaper rooms are significant, so spend a little extra for more. its a cute family owned hotel located right on the beach and the staff is very helpful and friendly. […] we walked for 10mins on a board walk from the hotel beach to another beautiful beach and other bars. the very nice lady in the gift shop helped us with maps and a rental car for us to coviniently tour the island ourselves. its a 10min ride to the "lawrence gap" with all the restaurants and night life, and if u get tired of the breakfast at the hotel, b sure to check out "novel teas" across the street for great omletts and the best curry for lunch. we left our camera in the rental car the night b4 our early flight and the front desk staff recovered it for us and is conveniently shipping it to us in NY. our room and bed linen could hav bn a little nicer and cozier, but our overall stay was great! we saved on hotel and spent more on enjoying the island. i would definately go back and recommend coconut court beach hotel to my friends. Nice but older established beach Hotel with probably the best location, coconut palms and beautiful view (facing south) of the Carribean in Hastings. Friendly staff with small beach bar and nice open air restuarant. But quite a limited menu and weak coffee. Very few other restaurants and shops closeby in the neighborhood. We didn't enjoy the breakfast as much as we expected to but it's definitely convenient to have something to eat in the morning without having to search for a place. Hotel on the main road, with all rooms apart from the beach level subject to some level of traffic noise. We had to move from the apartments to smaller beach level for this reason. Undergoing some rennovation at the moment. Small pool, but heavily use of chemicals - enough to bleach clothes quickly. Food pretty limited but good. This was my first visit to Barbados and going by myself as a single woman I wanted to choose a place where I would be comfortable and safe. Having spent days deciding whether Coconut Beach or Butterfly Beach was suitable I was glad to say I had made the right decision in the end. Cocount Court Beach Hotel is in a great location with picturesque views […] of the beach with palm trees, white sand and turquoise waters. There are some rocks in the water but once you find a walkway you'll find yourself emersed in beautiful warm waters. There was always beach beds available and plenty of shaded areas when the sun was too hot.Sttaff were friendly and made you feel welcomed. I expected 2 and a half stars as rated but the cleanliness of the room and facility made it feel like a 4 star. A $1 bus ride takes you to a nearby supermarket (food is more expensive compared to the UK) where I bought some snacks to use in the mini oven and microwave supplied in the room. It worked a treat! USD is accepted in majority of places on the Island. Only reservation I had is that there is no complimentary Wi-Fi but with views of the beach it is excusable that you needn't be on a laptop. Also would have been nice if the hotel offered an all inclusive package but its not such a huge deal as there are plenty of places to eat around. I certainly will return back to Coconut Court Beach Hotel, and would recommend this hotel to people who like to travel by themselves for a break from work. Read more

The toilet in our room was not working properly so we had to flush several times for it to work. We did not ask to have it fixed, and I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem if we did.
